Premium Member In Her Reflection I Am Poetry

Mind will always dream,
eyes will endlessly gaze,
lips will remain impatient.

Although, I've not met her,
the heart is a battleground
of anguish and angst.
Its cries, seeking the serenity
of her secret sanctuary.

Hope ascends to tranquil heavens.
Twilight's baptism, blends
merigold into fading blue horizons
with sparkling amethysts hues.

Oh my beautiful beloved,
come to me with your comforting arms,
like soothing stars, shepherding
the nebulous night sky.

Destiny can deceive,
sometimes a friend, sometimes a foe,
but, we search for the blessings,
through each trial and tribulation.

For, she is the silence,
between heart beats -
who's name rests upon
tense tips of the tongue.

In the discrepancy of distance,
love's appetite lingers in lament -
yearning for our lips to merge.

Yet the night is an unfinished symphony.
Idyllic lyrics craving to pour,
upon an incomplete song sheet.

Without her,
Silent One's muse is mute.

I am not a poet,
But in her reflection -
I am poetry.

Satan and Almighty God- Collab

You Suffocate Me with Darkness…

 ~Satan~

Lawless, deceiver

Perverting, accusing, murdering

Fallen angel, ruler of darkness, marriage destroyer

You stalk, you lie, you destroy, you steal my loved ones’ joy

You are the real loser

 in

The

 End

You permeate my life with prisms of warm sunshine…

~Almighty God~

Rejuvenator, love illustrator, galaxy maker, poem saver

Shepherding, protecting, sacrificing

Prince of Peace, Sea-calmer, our best friend

You came, you lived, you sacrificed your life

You

(An Addingham Poem)

Clashes of old tainted galvanised buckets
against the stone flags daily ring out across the manor farm yard,
profanity given proficiently if the swine catches Father off guard.
Lusty teats await emancipation of release ‘Friesians’ frolic in resolution,
‘Pete’ the old boss Bull awaits the dawning the perfect scene for evolution.
The purple haze of Rombald’s moor embraces the horizon
while the aging grey ‘Cat-steps’ hide within the mist,
yet sparkle with dew in the sunlight.
David, the youngest in the family given to shepherding,
some lambs endure many a bastard day, here springtime never early.
The plough a relic of the nineteen thirty’s cuts through the soil
like a knife through butter, till it unearths a boulder, and Joe is not best pleased,
expletive aggression does not fix the problem, but his brother Abe does.
Magpie and Crow recipient to all that exist, as long as it does not move,
screaming Owls grace the heathland, their screech complementing
the never-ending whistling winds.
Come what may, farming a commitment
a promise a guardian to their yacker* of God’s earth.

With Education You Can Change the World

“With Education you can change the world”

I was a fly on the wall and I saw... The “discriminating few” students take many steps back, In giving values, ethics and morals the sack, Whilst cultivating fear in the hearts of a divided nation And rejecting dignity in search of debt relaxation.

I was a fly on the wall and I saw... Potential school leavers view the status quo void of hope: From the “frying pan” of the challenges of OBE life Into the cauldron of the “#FMF” strife, they ponder, Or the ‘opportunity cost’ of joining the UIF queue: With bleak futures on the horizon, they search for a tunnel light to ensue...

I was a fly on the wall and I saw...
Two decades ago a proud nation take a forward stance, Shepherding an era that elevated every unified plea, Touching hearts and transforming minds at every fleeting chance; Heralding Madiba’s legacy of forgiveness, reconciliation and peace...

I was also a fly on the wall when Madiba said: “Education is the most powerful weapon one can use to change the world”.

So distorting the view, a discriminating few seemed to misconstrue: That by “Using strife to change the world, ‘Free Education’ falls into your lap”. And as the smoke clears, it doesn’t allay many fears, ‘Cause the precedence that caused many tears, Is doomed to widen the generation gap...

Premium Member The Lazarus Q'd

4 days wondered
and wondered,

wondered why

for days wandering,
left far behind

in that desolate place

the staff shepherding
the long Lazarus queue

black sheep
woolen hearts

woven together
like tight poems huddled

all together, knitting
all the lost together

the rod cued
hits the ground

like a lightening strike

lightworlds away
lightworlds arrive

risen again
running with words in vein

vanity words
the Lazarus Q'd

now running in veins

it’s like you never had wings
now you feel so alive

unfurling

like Lazarus
risen

again

Premium Member Crossfire

It began as a lovely September, 2001, at least, it should have been.....
somewhere lost in the crossfire, between summer and fall
days growing short, and evenings long

But, things now warped into a sense of surreal. What was seen, could not be real
As if bifocals were mixed in a bin, out of focus, rim to rim

I've asked to borrow a broken pencil, I find paper blowing in the acrid wind
my fingers shake with tensile fear....and, I write a goodbye.. I don't know why......

An edifice of a city, shades of gray, smoke, and ash,
stony faces, and rubble, of ruin and glass
littered streets, silent people, crying people in shock
A playbill, lost and frayed, blowing into my face

It began as a lovely September, 200l, or it should have been.....

Sirens, shattered concrete, sidewalks, shepherding the living into
the arms of someone, or maybe, .... into the arms of no one
Someone is borrowing a cell phone, ... there is smell of burnt sulfer
Bridges, crosswalks, that will take them back into calamity, .. our new reality

Someone lends me a broken pencil, I find paper blowing in the acrid wind
I write a goodbye... I don't know why......

It began as a lovely September, 2001, or it should have been....

Who Can

Who Can?

 Paints a Fulani maiden
With creamy calabash hawking 'fura de nunu',
A tall nomad, pole stretches on his long shoulders
Hold in place with hanging fingers like broom,
 Being on a nowhere long way, wave on a transistor;
 A cajole broad face,
 Scowling amongst bushy extended beard;
 A narrow umbrella sombrero
 Tip at right elfish ear,
 Shepherding towering cattle in perpendicular;
Munching down uppermost greens, with heighten horns
 Traveling in lengthen distance,
 Who can?
 Who can?
 Depict heavenly masquerade typhoon by gods;
 Leaping, flying with flashing whips,
The satyr opened dark tunnel throat
 And fangs all coloured with crimson;
Dear deer full of affected blinks,
Innocent mirth on polish promise horns.

Spectre Mist, Massachusetts

Under centuries of sediment
Tramped by stalwart feet
And twenty-two layers of blood
Laid down like concrete
From crunching force ambivalent
To this mottled seat

Dangles a shepherding spirit
Bathed in phantom mist
Playing on strings of circumstance
When souls coexist
With delusional flesh taunting once
So violently kissed

Until caressed in the nexus,
Songs resonating
In harmonic tempo profound
Patiently waiting
For the transitional gauntlet
Nature’s creating.

Inspired By Songs of Solomon

Let me pen my words with lyrics flowing
My words are better than vineyards growing
More tasty than your favorite meal
My words are as oil poured out…silky and surreal

My divine father sculpture me
Am inspired through Solomon songs lyrically
I am exalted and glad with thee
For thy blessings and your gift to me

Sit back, my fellow poets, my buddies and all humanity
Let wonderful poetry dictate the way you feel
Listen to inspiring words with a delicious flavor
My style is unique and like no other

I am the keeper of chateau de Poetry
Charming words your soul loveth….read!
Feeding your conscious and subconscious everyday
Maketh your soul and spirit cast ponder away

Beautiful words flock your airy barnyards
A rich over flow… lyrically be glad!
O yeah! Am inspired by songs of Solomon
Shepherding my word’s serenading songs

King Solomon said, "Bring me a sword”
And I say “let my poetry be heard all over this world”
For I am poetically anointed by God!

Uplifting Life

Life--complex gift received of God's great hands;
no choice have we. When life begins we are
unaware even that we live. The sands
in life's brief glass fall beneath shepherding star.

Childhood's lessons, meant to chart roads ahead
are painful memories, unfortunate,
for babes unwanted, ill, or filled with dread
of abuse, born of souls degenerate.

Propelled by time's swift wave, proportional
or not the hard trials that befall our way,
our response we govern: build bitter walls
or live knowing grief cannot joy outweigh.

I would not blame divine hands who life gave,
for on His kind palm me He did engrave.

Reference to Isaiah 49:16 ESV
Behold, I have engraved you on the palm of my hands;
your walls are continually before me.

The Iceberg

in the chill of an iceberg, out on the sea
bright in it's gleaming
a herd of old walrus asleep in the breeze
peacefully dreaming

a company of penguins dance on her slopes
there on the ocean
slippin' and slidin' like a bar of wet soap
with a rockinghorse motion

just then a polar bear, off on a tear-
his sudden intrusion
abruptly the world of the penguins is hurled
into utter confusion

their situation increasingly grave
by the menacing stranger
taking no chances they make for the waves
escaping the danger

aseagull is circling high up above
chanting his mantra
singing as ever so higher he flies
shepherding clouds in a wide open sky
and i capture it all with a critical eye-
for i am a camera!
