ON THE WAVES OF LOST MEMORIES…
These salted memories tell stories
The oceans and seas gave birth to.
Over the tempestuous waters
Echoes from the bellies of slave ships
Ride the tides of history
Spreading ripples over the shores
Of time proclaiming forgiveness
For lost souls.
We sashay along bleached beaches
Where white sands mask the shed blood;
And splashing waves drown out
The ghost echoes of rattling chains:
We no longer remember
Our beginnings here.
The Joy of Knowing Jesus…
The joy of knowing Jesus is a blessing to know.
He brings peace and nourishment to my soul!
The joy of knowing Jesus brings a peace within.
Knowing that HE has removed my every sin!
The pleasure of serving Jesus is an honor indeed.
Knowing that he’s supplied and met my every need!
The pleasure of living each day, in honor to my king…
Helps me to realize that Christ is my everything!
This opportunity I have, is a special moment.
I know that I’ve been cleansed by HIS atonement!
This same Jesus can bring salvation to you today!
He’s waiting for you! And loves you in a beautiful way!
Won’t you take the time and receive him too?
See the marvelous work that he can do through you!
There’s a joy of knowing this Lord! He loves you so much!
He bless and restore your life by his special touch!
This can be the time, for you to come and accept him!
He wants to change your life! Won’t you let him?
Behold the king of glory! Hallelujah to the lamb!
He reaches out to all… With his loving hands!
Let’s thank Jesus for the joy that he’s given!
By his shed blood… We can all be forgiven!
He offers true love to all! And is what life is about!
He can change us now! And bring hope throughout!
The joy of knowing Christ is a pleasure to obtain!
We can find all we need! In his precious name!

Wise men tell
From all faiths:
God is Love

Men of God;
Bridge the gap
Go beyond faith
Rest in stillness;
Walk the middle way
God's children
Need love and light;
Stern compassion works
A wise man said:
Live and let live;
Do not shed blood
Keep your faith,
Love all colours;
See human rainbows

Alas! So Shoot Me, I Grieve What Was Lost
Alas! So shoot me, I grieve what was lost
Not just youth, but those things Time took away
Within aching heart comes an icy frost
Covering epic pains of such decay!
One may ask, how dare I so complain?
Does Nature cry about hard falling rain?
Yet does not this world its ills promote well?
Oft with sorrows borne from depths of Hell?
Dare I choose to such dark verses to write?
Have I not truly joined in the fight?
Alas! So shoot me, I grieve what was lost
Not just youth, but those things Time took away
Within aching heart comes an icy frost
Covering epic pains of such decay!

Those Lush And Tender, Soft Welcoming Lips
Those flowing curls, glowing luscious mane
Sexy smile, flowering as desert rain
Bountiful beauty, sent to ease heart's pain
Lovely blessing sent for this soul to gain.
Ravishing essence with sweet touch to match
My hesitation, thinking what is the catch
That such a beauty would now my way pass
A goddess, sweet speaking to this poor lass.
Those lush and tender, soft welcoming lips
With true beauty, grace, and curvaceous hips
Yes beauty, as could launch a thousand ships
And greatest king's treasure surely eclipse.
Those tender kisses that were sent both ways.
May we forever - remember that day!

Does Basking Moon Ask Strolling Stars For More
Of beauty, earth, wind and soft glowing sky
Dares this artist to weep tears asking why
Heart and soul must pay such a heavy price
And shed blood for it to ever suffice?
Does basking moon ask strolling stars for more
Space and time to heavenly night explore
And cast upon earth a much deeper hue
To inspire such in poets such as you?
Does dawn its resplendent new rays withhold
That gift, that gleaming beauty to be sold
Or Mother Nature fail to gift new birth
Or poets fail to cast beauty's true worth?
Do such quizzing queries set well in verse
Or fail as being dated and quite terse?
Robert J. Lindley,
Sonnet,
( And what of life, love and this thing we call earth ? )
three stars and a sun
heroes shed blood for freedom
waves proudly in sky.
I Know of Someone Holding Unforgiveness!
I know of someone holding unforgiveness!
This has led to a life of much bitterness!
Toward his brother, he’s held on to a grudge.
From his viewpoint, he won’t even “budge.”
No matter what God’s word has clearly spoken…
He’s walked with a heart
that’s been broken!
His son prayed that God would speak to him!
That he would forgive, so God could heal him!
Forgiveness is a powerful thing to do!
If you want God’s mercy to
flow through you!
We’re not called to “hold back,”
the love God’s given!
Through Christ shed blood…
We’re all forgiven!
May the love of Christ come and touch us!
It’s no secret how much God
really loves us!
Please come Lord Jesus! And touch our soul!
May we express your love, wherever we go!
May God’s gentle love, be what always binds us!
HIS words; “love one another,”
do remind us!
By Jim Pemberton
In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth,
in doing this, God had created a masterpiece to behold.
Every animal, plant, tree, insect, bird and many other creatures of
such a variety could only have been done by God. Look at the
mountains, seas, oceans and creatures and plants below them.
All of this could not just have happen by some stupid fish crawling
up on land, then growing legs, then finally becoming monkeys, then man.
It is too far fletched to even think about.
God's masterpiece was a perfect one in the beginning, until Adam and Eve
committed the first sin, then it was no longer perfect.
God's masterpiece can be compared to us buying a painting that is also a masterpiece,
the only one like it in the whole world.
One night someone breaks into your house, they don't steal it, but do something even
worse, they destroy it.
Satan was like a thief who came one day to Adam and Eve and got them to sin, in doing
so, he destroyed the perfect world; God's masterpiece was ruined with sin.
After that sin was passed on from generation to generation, with it came death, war
and sickness and greed and many other things.
One day you find an expert, who says that your painting can be repaired,
but it will cost a high price to fix , it won't be as good as it was, but it can be repaired
somewhat.
This painting means so much, you love so, that you don't care what the cost is.
God also sent an expert who was perfect; God came in the form of a man, named Jesus.
He fixed the masterpiece, but there was also a high price to pay, His life and shed blood.
But like the painting it will never be the same, only repaired somewhat.
Jesus paid the price and he gave us the gift of Salvation, but we have to accept the
gift, or it is still unfixed.
Call on Him today and accept that gift. Romans 10:9-14

Vengeance
Life. A precious gift
breathed into the body of man by God,
the Father of all creation.
Life. The perfect gift,
Taken by the hand of a sinful man.
Five bullets to the head
a mother of four dead.
Baby boy lying near her bosom
when home sweet home
became a war zone.
Motherless children
devastation is their reality.
Mother's shed blood
drapes baby’s body,
like a scarlet overcoat…
Malefactor’s sinful heart continues to beat
pumping putrid blood into icy veins.
Minion of the devil,
violator of all that's right
How do you sleep at night?
You sit in court with your head hung low.
ruthless villain, surely you are not ashamed.
Remorse knows not your name.
Apologetic vomit spewed out the holder of lies
situated on your aggravated face.
Life. Snuffed out by your hand
like a candle struck by a mighty wind.
36 years to life, the sentence you must serve...
Step right up vengeance,
your room awaits
BY EZAR
I am seeing the lives of others faceing a path with out covers
Trying to survive without fathers
No love for one another cold is world with out guidance for boys and girls
Not knowing that they are jewels like diamonds and pearls
Dark or light course hair or curlers
They all need to see what life could be from the height of the heavens to depths of the seas
Years full term 360 degrees
Money well earned to supply their needs
Instead of guns to squeeze addicted to drugs like rats to cheese
Being taught false facts to please the masses blurred sight even with glasses
Believing their less than average
No positivity so they become stagnant
My heart cries for its more than tragic
Mind control music labeled as classic
Consumed by the youth seen though the action
A generation lost is the price of the cost
Saleing their souls only concerned about what to floss
Thinking that riches and wealth is the true boss
Don't they realize that Jesus died and shed blood for their lives on the cross
Different languages but the same perspective
On how the world is doing anything for the lights of show bizz
Even though they are blessed with seeds of greatness PEACE
Its time to tell the truth untold,
why do we have to fight?
must we shed blood?
ever wondered why able bodied men
go to war,and come back half,
or even dead,
the pity of war, the pity of war distilled
i was sworn in to handle the situation
am in the perfect position?
though courage was mine, and i had mystery
wisdom was mine, and i had mastery
days strolled,
weeks jogged,
months passed,
years flew,
finally it ended
yes!!! the war ended
oh no!!! i was attacked
i parried but i couldn't and i lost
when will this war end???
Now Let Us Sleep
I never get tired of being on fire for Christ.
Let hell turn to ice.
The second coming is close.
Your an eternity away from being toast.
The teer from your eye is a light year into life.
Just don't use a knife.
Christ payed the price.
You don't need to shed blood.
You'll hear a thud.
You mean something.
Eat a green bean.
Your life is worth it.
You'll regret it.
This world is mean but if your clean you will be in paradise.
Christ was sacrafised so we can be pure.
Its very cruel how this world works.
The American dream is God's team.
The winning team.
Angels are all around you.
You wear wranglers like Brett farve the Jet carve.
Or Dale on the rail at Daytona.
Like Jonah who got eaten by the whale he probably heard a bell.
Sins are thrown into bins to get recycled.
Everyone is entitled.
Pray for another day.
Pray for a high way.
Pray for a blue jay.
Give your life to Christ you won't be sliced.
You'll spend entirety with God and you may get a hot rod.
Angels fly.
We can see the sky.
Its very high.
We have love from heaven above.
Be still, Quiet your mind, Rest your soul, and know that I am God. Though I sit at the right hand of my Father, I am knelt beside you when you cry out my name. I control humanity and all that is produced, and I walk beside you when you walk alone. My grace encompasses the earth and my mercy extends to every soul, and I explore the deepest parts of your heart.
I am great and you are small, but as you reach for me and call my name, I rise up, grant your redemption, and offer you unfailing love. For you are my child and I am your Father, your journey is without blame and you are not forsaken. I give to you strength and offer you grace. I show you mercy for I am your redeemer with whom you give your trust. I reach out my hands and reveal the scars that remain, for my shed blood is your salvation and my love for you is written upon the tables of your heart.
The poinsettia shape reminds us of the Star of Bethlehem
Which led the wise men to a manger with gifts for Him,
And the brilliant red of the Christmas flower symbolizes
The shed blood of Jesus Christ which every Christian prizes
Reminding us that Jesus the Messiah’s birth, is the reason,
The red and green come to us during the Christmas season.

FOR WHAT IS POWER
For what is power?
A dream, a vision, a destiny?
All un-achievable because….
Because we accept the definition handed down by those in power.
Power is strength. Strength is power.
Rosa Parks had strength, she exhibited power,
not in muscle or machismo but in her presence, in her tenacity,
in her steadfastness. Rosa Parks was empowered
by her strength - to act.
Ghandi had strength, cloth wrapped, sinewy strength.
He exhibited power, in his defiance, his belief.
He shed blood, his own, while refusing to strike back
at those who struck him but at the laws and mores that
permitted such actions. He was empowered
by his strength – to act.
They did not wait to become empowered,
did not seek validation of their strength,
became the empowering strength for others.
Martin Luther King was not empowered by his dream,
he drew his strength from it,
used that strength to empower others
to find their strength, to stand, to march,
to defy, to unify – to act.
And what of us? Will we acknowledge our strength?
Will we use that strength to empower others
to find their strength? Or will we deny that strength
and hope to find empowerment elsewhere.

for Verlena S. Walker contest-Strength Empowers
((sorry Verlena, I blew the line count))
Yes there the heart pun, with pride
Here the sense grows admiration for self.
Every time, my eyes _ see my eyes in the mirror,
Something sparkles and a cherishing smile appears.
Look here the person, alive,
Then a deep breath inculcates, Rushing blood
With so much self-righteous arrogance, it takes
Yes because here is the power,
Look at my face, I rule myself,
Look at eyes, once shed blood,
Look at pause I utter, once broke up
Are powerful and gleaming again.
Yes I love that face that was burned,
The kingdom; along with herself,
Now is alive and with life.
Yes I respect that face, in mirror
You are my pride see, undefeatable I deem.
