Premium Member Giving Godly Grace

Grace-full is the lily born of virtue’s milk
Inspiring me with petals pure in my hour of need -
Vow and vim of passion vivid and empowering as I
Imagine the strength of soulful surrender while three
Nails were driven into a suffering so great -- selflessly You
Gave Your mortal life so I may live despite thorns and thirst

Grateful is my blossom watered with Your blood and tears
Opened with a faith unfurled by Light I venerate
Devotions trumpet from a callous soul once solus - jubilant the
Lifeless root that stood futile in fertile remorse before I
Yielded my yoke to the hands of merciful Love; please Lord

Grant me the fortitude to face my sorrow - Your
Resurrection reminds me of the sacred sacrifice endured
Accepted with the courage I strive to possess -- though I
Cannot conceive.. I believe in the circle of contentment; the
Essence and embrace of God’s white whorl of salvation

Premium Member Happy Birthday Ink Empress

Since you became an ingredient of soup,
you've become part of a talented group.
With metaphors that amaze and impress,
you've shown the dignity of an Ink Empress.

In a realm where verses of words delight,
you shine like enlightening gold moonlight.
A word weaver whose talent is clear to see,
selflessly supporting with sweet sincerity.

My heart hopes the sun graces your special day,
with lines of joy sending warm rays your way.
In stanzas of imagery producing bright cheer,
may your birthday bring you a blessed new year.

Your pen dances gracefully on blank pages,
creating lyrics connecting with all ages.
With adjectives wrapped in ribbons of grace,
you weave emotions for hearts to embrace.

With each syllable a creative ode is formed.
A symphony of words musically performed.
Your poems paint pastels on vast canvas of life.
A reflection of moments about hope and strife.

May this birthday inspire you further more,
as you pour out musings, us 'Soupers' adore.
Let deepness be the ink that adorns your quill,
as you navigate through life's musical thrill.

May your rhymes echo in the souls of poets.
Poetic thoughts in the right ways you show it.
Happy birthday, poetess, may you forever sing,
a melody of poetry, like the first day of spring.

“Only from the heart can you touch the sky.” Mawlana Jalal-al-Din Rumi

I am a garden of Monet
thriving amidst
watercolor wilderness,
mourning the death of greens.
In pursuit of peace, where lilies
are tangled in tranquility,
I let my eyes slumber,
allowing my thoughts to wander
through an iridescent landscape
of unnamed orchards,
outlined with moon diamonds~
flickering luminous beams
upon my melancholic mind,
that remains a nomadic sojourner,
traveling through shifting time,
like kaleidoscopic roses,
splattered across the milky-way.

Happiness is more than
just an illusory noun
engraved from electric pens,
by passionate poets in quest of
a chivalrous expression,
intoxicated by ethereal imagism,
woven when life unfolds
a mundane cycle
flowing with razor-sharp regrets,
where we drown, paralyzed and lost
within somber phrases of serenity.

Yet, I refuse to pirouette like
a lamented leaf fleeting
above flowerless fields.
I am an amateur artist, painting
my sadness in captivating genres,
my brush is like an
odyssey of rainbow petals,
steered by a sleepless muse,
selflessly guiding my blushing heart
to sculpt sorrow with periwinkle dreams.
There I find blissfulness within
the butterfly breeze
of sakura sunsets,
falling upon my breathless ink,
longing to be traced
in musical tenderness,
illuminating this spiritual connection,
set aflame by embers
of fervent devotion,
dancing across the smooth sky of
sanguine seas,
where tides of infatuation
rinse away ripples of remorse.
For in this world of woes
I found a lyrical line
and turned it into an
illustration of sensuous sonnets,
emanating love and light
when metaphors have no meaning.

O sage silence,
in your unsung melodies,I found
a haven blooming with honeysuckles.
The sun and moon synchronized
into an amorous ambience.
Now I rest my angst
on pillows of endearment,
embroidered with sweet solace.
You will be the last summer
seeping along cinnamon
strings of my silhouette;
the aurora warmth to
my frosted dusk, forevermore.

Premium Member Tell Them Now

If you appreciate others, tell them now,
While it still can add to their sense of self-worth.
To wait is a mistake many make because
No one knows how much time they have left on earth.

If you admire her kind generosity,
Or how he selflessly gives to those with needs;
Letting them know sooner rather than later,
Encourages them to do other good deeds.

Gratitude has positive ripple effects;
Expanding circles - lives we affirm and touch.
Avoid regrets about dearly departed,
By telling them now they matter and how much.

Bad Poem

One day I delivered a poem
one that seemed to be premature
so I swaddled her up
and set her aside
to grow 'til I felt reassured

How she yowled and howled for attention...
how she cried so piteously!
How she coughed and she sneezed
whimpered and wheezed
then threw up all over me!

Still I tenderly tended her bedside
and lovingly nursed her along
determined to sacrifice everything
to raise her up healthy and strong

As she grew and recovered, she wandered
and crawled over everything
and I found I had trouble containing
my rambling, unruly offspring

She became an inexcusable bounder
a wayward and bratty ingrate
who despite all my love and affection
refused to make sense or read straight

She dallied in questionable places
she idled and shiftlessly shirked
lazily lagging, ignoring my nagging
while I selflessly, endlessly worked

Firmly applied discipline to her
and structure, and meter, and rhyme
but she bucked, and rebelled, and bit me
and stayed up beyond her bedtime

We wrestled, and wrangled, and brawled,
bickered in bitter altercation
if I didn't do something quite soon
she would ruin my good reputation

At length, I decided I'd had it
we had reached the end of the road
and although she clung like a wet paper towel-
I flung her and flushed the commode!

to have eyes
is one thing
to see,
is quite another

to have ears is
normal
to listen,
an art form

to have a heart
is a necessity
to have heart,
glorious

to have two hands
ordinary
to have helping hands,
magnificent

to love someone,
some thing,
is nice
to love selflessly,
a miracle

to have self-awareness
essential
to have a soul
superb

Ode To a Rose On a Sunset

A kiss from a rose on a sunset night,
as the clouds dip into the sea.
A kiss from that rose as the waves fall,
over the beach to a rose kissed me.

A kiss from a rose on a sunset night,
as we wrap in lovers embrace.
A kiss from a rose as homeward we go,
to a bed clothed in satin and lace.

A kiss from a rose on a sunset night,
with passion and warmth do we grasp.
A kiss from that rose that blossoms and blooms,
my hand in her labour pain clasp.

A kiss from a rose on a sunset night,
that wanton and curvy young bride.
A kiss from that rose that huddles our babe,
so loving, in motherly pride.

A kiss from a rose on a sunset night,
without whom I'd not share my life.
A kiss from that rose who selflessly filled,
the place of my darling rose wife!

Premium Member One-Sided Love

How do you give solace to a girl with a broken heart
when your heart has not yet mended from her falling in love with him?

How do you answer her questions for advice
when you know the best advice to give further damages your chance?

How do you lend a shoulder for her to cry on
when your entire body aches to embrace her lovingly?

How do you listen to her plans for making up
when you wish your friendship could be replaced by romance?

Silently, you suffer the torture of one-sided love.
Stoically, you pretend to be happy as her friend.
Selflessly, you let her go when you desperately want her to stay.
Stupidly, you swallow those three words you want to say.

You try convincing yourself you are happy by her happiness,
even though her happiness with another makes you depressingly sad.

You wear the mask of a brother-like relative
even though the jealously is driving you mad.

To leave her far behind would mean your freedom and your end.
Never to know her as a lover, you will suffer lonely as a friend.

Finding Joy This Season

To find the greatest joy,
give selflessly.
Share your gifts, your time, your love -
be the smile others long to see!

To find your heart’s content,
show gratitude.
Open your eyes and give thanks for life -
walk with a hopeful attitude!

To find desired love,
Love others with God’s eyes.
Search beyond the surface seen –
you may be quite surprised!

To find your Christmas spirit,
return to innocence.
Slow down, have fun, believe again –
remember the Lord’s presence!

The Vision

If only you could see the vision
Now deeply living inside my mind
Feeling the peace which now stays
Knowing your love is only mine.

If only you could feel the passion
Which each new day is on the rise,
Then you would never worry at all
For you will never face lonely times

I truly love you deep within my heart
With a pure power that never ends
And every time I awaken to your smile
Its life essence selflessly begins

For I feel what you have given me
With the love you allow me to seize
Binds me tightly to a fervent need
To have your love always next to me.

Sanctuary of Obscurity

Dare one impose upon the primitive soul,
Revolving around solitude—a savant hold warmer than the sun
Entranced by every ideal—loving many and no one
Would they hesitate to break the sensational sway…
As petals of tiger lilies fall upon its sunset eyes
Tremulous sighs and exhalations—dedicated to wisdom
Looking to the sky…a vast wilderness of celestial light
Fixated in the center of star-drafted darkness
The wheel of its heart turns smoothly
Oiled with only the finest knowledge
With brutal truths seeping into the empty spaces

Not even the most charming can break its stance
Feeble smiles melt away into frustrated admiration
For not one could dare embark upon her spirit
Without looking first deep within himself
Tearing apart the pride that so recklessly razes
Ensnaring all that behold him
All but one

Had one selflessly walked into the midst of this fraction of heaven,
He would watch faithfully a sunrise on the legs of endurance
And the embracing, smiling arms of patience
If one only left their guard for the Sanctuary of Obscurity
The skies of white light upon dark would open in reverence
The lips that are so fixated upon moist discovery
Would have their gentle hold on mortal purity
To allow such a moment to exist,
Kindheartedness must coexist
And hovering humility harnessed deep in vicious sincerity

Kith and Kin

Kith and Kin.

For them, people's time is not a waste,
For them,people's lives are important,
Peace lovers,they have awakened conscience,
Constructive activities they do together ,
Full of compassion,they are free,unarmed,
They dance to the tune of peace,
They are free men, with sound lungs,
They draw a long breath of peace,
promoting brotherhood,
With a brave heart,active mind
and free spirit,they embrace brotherhood,
Not less worth do they give to peace,
Selflessly they encourage kindness.

P.S- Back in the 18 century, the swords of Polish Legion supporting Lombardy were inscribed with an Italian phrase translated as "Free people are brothers".

Premium Member As He Lay Dying

As he lay dying, slowly wasting away
He reviewed his life with ever-increasing dismay
Had he ever thanked his folks for their efforts on his behalf?
He knew he hadn't --- a monumental gaffe

Had he professed his love to his wife each and every day?
Had he listened intently to every word she had to say?
Had he always treated her with the respect she'd deserved?
Or had he criticized her sharply for being shy and reserved?

Had he treasured the time he got to spend with his kids?
Had he checked himself when he was ready to blow his lid?
Had he loved his children selflessly and unconditionally?
Or had he demanded that they do things perfectly?

Every tick of the clock is precious, the poets and Sages say
Live each moment to its fullest --- before the last one slips away!

Premium Member I am Thankful for

I am thankful for the beautiful family I proudly own
My loving parents under whose care, I have grown
My bosom friends who share my joy and pain,
Who selflessly abide with me with no thoughts of gain.

I am thankful for the boon of motherhood at a late age
For ever protecting me from nature’s fury and rage.
Thankful for the wonders, the changing seasons bring
The fruits of summer and the lovely blossoms of spring.

I am thankful for the treasured moments which give me delight.
All the simple and elementary things that make my life bright.
Above all, thankful for all the blessings, God bestows on me,
Fueling my heart with peace and hope, making all negativity flee.

Premium Member I Am Sorry

It was never my intention,
not a conscious decision,
to cause you any level of grief.
Our give and take wasn’t as envisioned.
Blindly, I let you fall between my gaps.

It’s not right or wrong, but fact that
I got lost in a thronged rhythm
recovering from things life had given.
You have always shone a warm light
selflessly bright into my life.

Stern storms drowned my content,
turned me until forlorn bent.
I pursued a healing renewal but
my drenched attempts were futile -
I didn’t mean to hurl you into my duel.

Please accept my sincere apology
for giving less than you handed me.
I’d never set out to hurt another
but denying friendship gratitude
colors me pallid shades of rude.
