Giving Godly Grace

Grace-full is the lily born of virtue’s milk
Inspiring me with petals pure in my hour of need -
Vow and vim of passion vivid and empowering as I
Imagine the strength of soulful surrender while three
Nails were driven into a suffering so great -- selflessly You
Gave Your mortal life so I may live despite thorns and thirst

Grateful is my blossom watered with Your blood and tears
Opened with a faith unfurled by Light I venerate
Devotions trumpet from a callous soul once solus - jubilant the
Lifeless root that stood futile in fertile remorse before I
Yielded my yoke to the hands of merciful Love; please Lord

Grant me the fortitude to face my sorrow - Your
Resurrection reminds me of the sacred sacrifice endured
Accepted with the courage I strive to possess -- though I
Cannot conceive.. I believe in the circle of contentment; the
Essence and embrace of God’s white whorl of salvation

What a complete self surrender and what depth of faith ! Love the beauty and intensity of the passion of piety embedded in each line ! Yes, let us put the yoke of our tribulations at His feet who suffered such pain and humiliation to redeem us ! Beautiful diction and lovely penning Susan.

He endured so much for us that it makes our own sufferings and sacrifices seem petty in comparison. This is what this well written and well expressed piece says to me. Bravo my friend and this goes straight to my faves. God Bless, JB

My dear poetry sibling, this speaks to me on so many levels, like a mural of faith. It speaks to my soul as it reverently paints the Savior's suffering as His language of love. It speaks to my poetry-loving side with your carefully crafted acrostic framework and delicate word pairs ("petals pure", "vow/vim", "thorns/thirst", "souls/solus", "white whorl" to name but five). Your immense talent was laser focused in distilling such magnitude into 16 lines. I'm in awe, and my soul has been touched.

My dearest Rhyme Time friend, every line is a deep dive into eloquence and faith - each line is to be savored like "pure petals" in a "white whorl of salvation." Depth and deep do not begin to scratch the surface of the depth of your words and your faith. I stand at the open door of your brilliance in amazement. This is a masterpiece that gives then gives again when it is read repeatedly! Congratulations on your win! Blessings to you and your platinum gold pen! A FAV!
