Best Self Fulfillment Poems

Premium Member Until Last Breath

The sense of time passing slowly,
has passed.
It moved beyond pace to comprehend,
when my skin turned a spotted grey,
and eyes once focused now open,
to a foggy haze.

I grieve not,
for the journey created expectations,
from a child born unaware.
who reached an age of reflection.
Where memories are washed,
in misty realms of truth and fiction,
and thoughts of what should have been,
that circle above like vultures waiting to descend,
to feast on the carrion of what is.

As I move closer to death,
time and contemplation squeeze the soul,
and wonder holds the hand of reality.
I still find joy in the movement of children,
who have yet walked on the road of appreciation,
for breath.

To have lived is itself a wonder.
One that leaves no understanding,
except for self-fulfillment.

For when all the arguments have been made,
and all the tears have fallen,
whether joy or uncontrolled emotion,
I will remain bemused by it all,
until my last breath.

Premium Member Am I Oak Or Willow Today

Am I an oak today?
Or a willow?
I stare into my soul

Which one is going to benefit me?
I see myself in flexible terms, but
have I already bent too far backwards?

I am lingering at the water’s edge
staring into the pool of self fulfillment
waiting to see what strengths come forward.

A large oak tree begins to grow
out of the center of the lake
Showing me what is needed
to survive

I smile as she rises
stronger and taller
than ever before
I can hear wolves
howling their approval.

It is enough.

Premium Member Of Morality

Dice, the goddess of morals, asked her mother, Themis
Why there's divorce, gambling, abortion, and alcoholism?
Why should dehumanization, like a Bloodstone, beamish?
Why should knives of nemesis nip the knots of neutralism?

Cores of conscience, like collapsed castles, Themis said, crash
The self within the inner sanctum, like sand grains, is split.
Joy, peace, harmony, happiness, and self-fulfillment clash
Empathy and sympathy submit to apathy's conflict.

Demons in humans delicately dominate their domains.
As though white sheep amongst black cattle, they cudgel their brains.
Their will to do good, like delinquent house dogs, is in chains.
Blood of cutthroat competitions, to win, flows in their veins.

Honesty should guide one and all, Themis said to Dice.
Summit of self-splendidness alone will never suffice.

Longing

Longing
For Affection
Self-denial, Self-afflicted, Self-fulfillment
What condition caused deprivation?
Starved!

Thirteen

There was a time when the trees seemed taller,
A time when the grass seemed greener and the colors brighter.

A time when the sky seemed like an everlasting blue,
Where the clouds seemed to take on countless different shapes,
Each representing a different corner of my imagination.

A time when the ocean seemed warm and welcoming and in no way dangerous,
The tides of time had not yet swept me off my feet.

In fact everything was harmless,
A sprawling landscape full of oddities and endless adventures.

My God it was so easy to be taken by wonder and amazement,
For everything was new and waiting to be experienced.

It was a time when I felt safe and protected,
Nothing or no one could do me harm.

I was a product of my environment and for that I am truly grateful,
But where there is joy there is pain.
Where there is happiness there is melancholy.
There is now an infinite and unavoidable sadness to it all.

A darkness had found its way inside me,
Burrowing itself deep within my soul.

I guess my innocence had died with my shattered dreams long ago.

It did not happen suddenly or forcefully,
There was no particular time or dehumanizing event.
No agonizing terror or inconceivable folly,
No not at all.

In fact it seemed to have happened gradually...
Slowly, minute by minute, piece by piece,
My innocence and youth were stripped away.

Something dark had hi-jacked my consciousness,
Something evil had taken the wheel.

With each new dose of reality I began my inevitable path to manhood,
With time I had succumb to the realization that life is cruel and death is imminent.

I now believe there is no good left in the world,
That there is no act truly genuine.
People are driven by their own desire for self-fulfillment,
People are fake.

There is a darkness lurking in everyone waiting to claw its way out...

With this realization I decided to give up my dreams and mold into some sort of apparition,
A shadow of my former self.

My guess is a part of me died when the clock struck thirteen...

Wilting

in such drowsy prospect
with concrete filling my throat,
I wile-away with Narcissus
until belief beckons at ego’s pace
to chase disgrace on wobbly knees,
shaking my Etch-A-Sketch clean.

Yet, messages slice across the loom
to make room for conscious doom
in disharmony penned
across all strata of travel
like a mantra pinning our climb
away from soaring self-fulfillment

revealed only in the pause between
hasty breaths surrendered in chase
as hunter or limber prey
forcing that day we drive
terror away from operatives
determined to snap our branches.

Unknown Contentment

We’ve only met briefly
Few times
I’ve been on expeditions to find you
Only to be unsuccessful
It seems as if you wish to remain distant
I’ve longed for you
Yet you’ve rejected me
You usually join me with love
But it seems she now hates me
Sometimes you came with self-fulfillment
But he could care less for me
What are my faults…?
My shortcomings…
Is the problem with me?
Life is insufficient
Soul down-trodden
Aspirations lost
Waiting for a miracle
Longing…
Urging…
Yearning…
To finally know satisfaction
And as time continues
Until we meet again
I can only fantasize
What it is like
To live, live, and live life once more
Only by way of contentment

Premium Member Night Light Variations In a Summer of Discontent

The quite ebony night blew its warm teasing breath---
taunting my wet shining sable skin with a faint coolness.
The paused crescent moon struggled with opaque-like clouds
to dispense sojourning light as it trekked across the sky
towards the self fulfillment of its circadian journey.

All around---within the tree cribbed space,
fluttering little arthropods darted about---
flashing bits of light, as if to impart
pieces of truth the diabolical night offers
to those in the search there of: truth---
the light of the contemplating souls of darkness.

In the precinct of the darkness of night, light lurks---
always on patrol---juxtaposed superior twin:
blinking and winking behind guarded shades.

Thus…wherever darkness seeks to go and abide,
she finds companion light luring from the shadows:
welcoming her to coexist in peace, love and truth.

Soon, these co-habiting twins will usher in
another tomorrow. May God not forget us---
so enlighten us---that we continue to strive to build
a new world order---reflecting peace, love and justice.

Premium Member Wish List of the Soul

Health, wealth, success, grandeur, and happiness,
Name, fame, status body-mind homeliness;
Family, friends, love, and self-fulfillment,
Thoughts, words, and actions purity movement...

Within the heart of the ninth clouds floating,
Through mysterious Milky-way boating;
I want to have in each realm my own say,
This has been my trance-mad daydreaming way...

My soul leads me through divine love and joy,
Betwixt fact and fancies I often coy;
Elegant hills, vales, and landscapes I see,
A drop of mighty seas I want to be...

Pains seep in like water into cracked walls,
The deep within depths toward fullness calls;
Self and ego like snake and mongoose clash,
Holiness, yet, like lava waves does splash...

Premium Member Involvement In Great Commission

Our Great Commission involvement’s motive…
Is it just a mere display of our desire to be active???
It should not be out of leisure’s elective or pleasure’s incentive---
Let's work for the Lord’s glory* thru His directive to be heavenly productive!!!

Our Great Commission involvement’s advancement…
Is it just a mere execution of our pursuit for self-fulfillment???
It should not be out of fleshly energy in performing our assignment---
Let's labour in the Lord’s vineyard by His empowerment in our commitment!!!

Our Great Commission involvement’s consistency…
Is it just a mere break in our routine to add variety to schedule so busy???
It should not be out of urgency devoid of spiritual persistency---
Let's serve upon the Lord’s prodding with faithfulness’ fervency!!!

Our Great Commission involvement’s partnership…
Is it just a mere exercise of our civil dealings because of worldly friendship???
It should not be out of what we can get from brethren’s fellowship---
Let's edify the Lord’s saints with love and respect in our anointed stewardship!!!

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Stretching Out Your Hand Over Me

July 17 Scripture Meditations Based on Isaiah 19-23

Key Verse – Isaiah 23:11 He stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD hath given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy the strong holds thereof.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR STRETCHING OUT YOUR HAND OVER ME

Thank You for stretching out Your hand over me and my self-righteousness
With Your salvation’s holiness
That covers my confessed sinfulness by Your forgiveness…
I give myself to Your heart-sanctifying pureness.

Thank You for stretching out Your hand over me and my self-pity
With Your mercy’s bounty
That enhances my spiritual beauty…
I entrust myself to Your soul-valuing verity.

Thank You for stretching out Your hand over me and my self-interest
With Your plan’s best
That vanquishes my esteemed pride pest…
I surrender myself to Your ambition-checking test.

Thank You for stretching out Your hand over me and my self-indulgence
With Your control’s prevalence
That subdues my complaining persistence…
I submit myself to Your faith-upholding permanence.

Thank You for stretching out Your hand over me and my self-fulfillment
With Your leadership’s engagement
That rebukes my worldly enjoyment…
I offer myself to Your sacrifice-approving bestowment.

Thank You for stretching out Your hand over me and my self-sufficiency
With Your clemency’s excellency
That halts my materialistic tendency…
I bring myself to Your contentment-satisfying constancy.

Thank You for stretching out Your hand over me and my self-exaltation
With Your humility’s function
That breaks my haughty disposition…
I yield myself to Your life-transforming perfection.

Premium Member Depression Steals Real Lives

Depression kills
Real lives.
Depression steals
Real lives.
Self-punishment
Is not the answer.
Self-fulfillment
Is the profound desire
To love oneself, to be proud,
To hope and to cry out loud
That happiness and success
Are waiting near the corner.
Suicide is evidently not the answer.
Joy can neutralize anxiety, anguish and anger.
Depression is a bad disease, take it seriously.
Nothing is simplistic, simple or easy
In life.  Stay active, keep your mind busy;
So your spirit can soar to the moon
And come back safe and sound. Be a spoon
Full of hope, love and sweet honey
Which can tickle and energize body and soul.
Trial and error is not bad, not failure, only a fool
Will think so. The best is yet to come, tomorrow. Easy
Come, easy go, and easy know. That’s the reality
Of everyday life. Success is definitely relative.
Keep on looking forward like a stubborn bee.
Be strong and not be overly sensitive.
Be naturally optimistic. The past is full of flaws
And every day is a new season for fresh flowers.
Even when the proverbial glass is empty,
A few drops of rain may accidentally
Fill it up to the top, to the periphery,
Completely to the brim,
Obviously to the rim.
Hope is not expensive.
Everybody has hope.
Anybody can hope.
Hope is extensive.
Hope can destroy depression,
Evil or ill feelings and isolation.
Use your words to soothe the pain.
Be your best friend all the time. Be vain
To protect and to celebrate your life,
And you’ll be able to defeat any strife.
Conquer yourself, while doing so,
You’ll surely escape or defeat the undertow.
Danger is certainly everywhere.
Be attentive and be not afraid to dare.
Strike depression early to make it feeble or vincible,
As you seek more help, aid or support.
You’ll definitely be safe and untouchable,
Before the ship leaves the harbor, the port.
Danger is always lurking somewhere,
Be resilient! Suicide is not the answer.
You can defeat depression.
You can always find a solution.
Take depression seriously.
Be a spoonful of hope, self-love and sweet honey!

Blue Tattoo

Gladly the rag falls dead beside the kitchen sink,
Grey and brown with coffee grounds and spillage,
Dripping pensive ochre on the rim,
Sombrely it slipped over the brink
And stank of rape and pillage.
Handmaid of the sweat shop penitentiary,
Her abrasive bruises culled by twilight shades,
In solitary confinement for a lifetime and a day,
Locked into bleak mundanity, her being rudimentary,
She dreams of bygone summer glades.

Cobwebs hang down perilous from the dimming light,
A naked dying sun on bare and fraying flex,
Sheds gossamer bars upon her grating spine
Wherein knots of sheer tension coil their fibres tight,
A flea circus of a prison complex.
The code of the dishmop head that often taps
Against her moribund loop of apron string
Construes a garbage cipher she ignores,
For the cold communication that it raps
Is the sort that fails to tell her anything.

Inward she may focus on her wilder past,
When sex bristled sheathed in fishnet and scarlet
And hidden chaffed the thong of leather lingerie;
Her power and vivacity magnetic, unsurpassed,
Defined and drove the instinct of the harlot.
Still upon the reddened sagging of her upper arm
Scowls the blurred blue stain of a devil replete
With horns and pitchfork, malicious crimson eyes
And a sneer prophesying she was doomed to come to harm
With the self-fulfillment legend: "Easy Meat."

“I placed My image in you
Giving you a free will
Making you separate
From the rest of Creation

Fearing Me lets you rise
From mere animal instincts
To bring nations close
To the only true God

Those that reject Me
Climb up another way
Hacking into humanity
To create another image

An image that suppresses
The image of God
An image that negates
Free will from God”

“Let us direct and control
Let us accelerate
Humanity’s evolution
By deceitful trickery

Let us rise above
From mere animal instincts
To bring humanity close
To the divinity of man

Let us reach our potential
People mixed with each other
Metal with wet clay
Into one supreme kingdom”

“The pinnacle of evolution
Is the Beast of Revelation
I’ll let him ascend and conquer
Against My sovereignty

Until the eternal gospel
Is proclaimed by My angel
The last call of My grace
The last chance to repent

Then comes the hour
Of judgment on the Earth
Great Tribulation begins
Great proof of who I AM

The Creator who judges
His fallen Creation
That marred His image
And would not repent

Lay aside self-fulfillment
Take on servanthood
Do the will of God
With enduring faith-

Until My final end times victory”
