Premium Member Gunas of Light and Love

Tamas
I began in my mother's womb where darkness clothed me
still carrying taste of death upon my tongue I suckled and kicked free
there were dancing lights and tears in the Universe gathering me to life
it didn't take long I did forget, I pierced the veil and wailed like a knife
Rajas:
I drank the nectar of the wild flower consumed the salinity of my goods
entered into karma like a Gita in a wave of passion, no longer was I wood
pulsing into life I sipped the juices of my passion and enjoyed the rays
with third eye open I was guided through my living numbered days
Sattva:
Like a pear tree laden with heavy fruit, life began to take its toll
like Saraswati I let go, then held on to a mala and a palm leaf scroll
swept away by a joy so pure, I found the core of love's own goal
there was nothing else I needed so I climbed the lotus of extol

All lies melted away in the face of truth and revelation ,
I lost myself in worship, became a sweet oblation.

Premium Member Longing For Life

Life is consciousness
All encompassing
In each realm
That is

Upon earth
Related to man
In the third density
Vital life breath is love

Love employs no force
Allows us to choose
From Gunas* three
Our life path

At the bottom
Tamas or stupor
Feels separate, inert
Sadly, dwells in darkness

Shift to interconnectedness
Propelled by Rajas desire
With sporadic empathy
Love flame flickers

Sattva Guna
Head-heart meld
Compassion blossoms
One with God-consciousness

Oh hermit, as we may see
All is already enabled
Love door is open
Just walk in

* Guna (Sanskrit) is a concept in Hinduism and Sikhism, which can be translated as "quality, peculiarity, attribute, property". ... These three Gunas are called: Sattva (goodness, calmness, harmonious), Rajas (passion, activity, movement), and Tamas (ignorance, inertia, laziness). All of these three Gunas are present in everyone and everything, it is the proportion that is different, according to Hindu worldview. The interplay of these Gunas defines the character of someone or something, of nature and determines the progress of life. ~ Source Wikipedia

". . . Do egoic fears & desires agitate
Or heart throbs with bliss sublime . . . "
                          lines by _ Unseeking Seeker
_____________

I am stirred from the moment I awaken each day,
from the news on TV and posts that try to sway;
on social media a good portion are rants,
well said and written but filled with other peoples wants;
and as I listen or read my psyche is filled with dread,
oh, my soul, heart and mind flutters for bliss instead !

And in my yoga meditation I pulse and flutter,
as within me three levels of enlightenment mutter;
with happiness I find the Gunas tree that will bind,
what lies deep inside my soul, my heart and mind;
in Tamas, I am passive, doubtful, uncertain and still.
I am full of anguish melancholy like a tainted pill !

And in Rajas my ego is conceited with thirst,
with passion, with yearning that will in time burst;
this hunger only brings me turmoil and agitation,
and I am not alone it happens to all in every location;
we all must let go of selfish self seeking desires,
we all need to stop and put out all our mental wild fires !

Then, at last I am in Sattva, where all should be,
in harmony, our soul, heart and mind is set free;
we are pure in our thinking and devoted to peace,
love for all and in so doing our joy will ever increase;
we know bliss, detachment from other peoples words,
able to be compassionate- then, fly away uncaged birds !

Premium Member Going Beyond All Opposites

The Gunas three, both boon and bane
For without rest, we'll go insane
Rajas, the cauldron of desire
Whilst Sattva, sunshine in the rain

Propelled through life until we tire
Seems without cause, we did perspire
Whence heart is still, voids within fill
Save God, nothing that we aspire

Once we surrender to God's will
Gently shaped upon life's anvil
All's enabled in timeless time
Smooth is our soul's ascent uphill

Head-heart aligned, hark the love chime
Grace in-pours from divine sublime
Bliss magnetism pervades our form
Life becomes an unending rhyme

Singular focus through each storm
Guna's hold no longer the norm
See oh hermit, there's no one here
That that is, is bliss current warm

Ego disappears, God draws near
Our life course, He Himself does steer
All we do, is frolic and play
God's light within, we hold so dear

Knowing now that love paves the way
We make throb of joy our mainstay
Being to become, a bliss mist
Luminous, beauteous sun ray

Shifting into silence, letting go of lower mind
Hitherto ego bound attention seems unfettered
We wonder what delightful pastures it will find
Intuitively going where rose petals are scattered

Meditational attention, poised without anticipation
Yet retains in the background a hum magnetic
Mind body hollowed out in a mode of cessation
Osmotically imbibes subtle vibrations eclectic

Guna Rajas rested, the polarities latent resident
Are Tamas as inertia and Sattva pristine stillness
The universe responds as of our innate sentiment
Joy or melancholy as chosen by consciousness

Cognising images, we draw in memory imagery
An instinctive reflex mind body based response
Thus unless the ambedo arises from pleasantry
We may be entrapped in emotions left to chance

As we be so we are and as we are we do become
Thus it is not in the melody or vacuity per say
Rather upon aligning inner and outer with love one
Do we shift to the centre, thereby ceasing to sway

What we are searching for not a fixed coordinate
An essence of presence whose fragrance elusive
It is only in resistanceless flow of stillness sedate
In connecting, not grasping, we feel a calm pensive

Shift from ego separateness to interconnectedness
Wherein we recognise unity in seeming diversity
Being but the beginning of vibrant spacial wholeness
Until we directly see the deep underlying reality

What then is ambedo but a letting go off of all bondage
Our eternal awareness choosing to reclaim divinity
With identity vaporised, there being no fear to assuage
As one with oneness we throb with bliss in continuity

Premium Member The Gunas Three

The Gunas three, twirl us around
Sattva, Rajas, Tamas
Rapturous bliss, in each state found
Love and light, our compass

Slow down the pendulum
Of this here body prism
Tranquil continuum

Duality
The Gunas three

~~~
The Gunas three - all become one
When fears and desires rest
Thus when our ego comes undone
Bliss throbs within our chest
In the current flowing
No coming or going
Save joy scintillating
Serenity
The Gunas three
To pierce the veil, we need to vaporise
Ceasing to size, receptive to surprise
Desire is a blockage
Let not fears ravage
Void of cessation is the abode of the wise
Feeling of separateness is but our delusion
Flickering awareness mars our meditation
Thus to be succinct
Recalibrate reflex instinct
That we imbibe bliss currents by resonation
Our attention flowing in time quanta
Each packet of time a hypnotic trance
Our waking being this continuità
Fickle attention leads us on a dance
Captive thus to innate affinity
Save void of polarity interchange
As dreams pan out in continuity
We begin to feel within stirrings strange
Regrets of past and fears of future haunt
If we be not in the present moment
Emptiness has no agenda to flaunt
Love divine heightening our bliss quotient
Raising then Tamas to a Sattva stance
Childlike purity joyous in each trance
