Best Sanctifies Poems
February 4 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Leviticus 11-13
Key Verse – Leviticus 11:44 For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy…
FAITH IN GOD WHO SANCTIFIES US
God sanctifies us from sin-leprosy
By His mercy healing our plague’s persistency…
We thank Him for the power of His clemency
That transforms us by faith along His love’s fervency.
God sanctifies us from flesh-filthiness
By His holiness melting our lustfulness…
We thank Him for the brightness of His righteousness
That radiates around us by faith midst worldliness.
God sanctifies us from pride-inflammation
By His meekness smiting our arrogant reaction…
We thank Him for the clarity of His instruction
That propels us by faith toward growth’s function.
God sanctifies us from vice-defilement
By His purification vanquishing our addiction impairment…
We thank Him for His grace of restoration-replenishment
That upholds us by faith against evil allurement.
God sanctifies us from trespass-infirmity
By His forgiveness correcting our iniquity…
We thank Him for His pardon of acquitting quality
That makes us by faith to enjoy eternal life’s security.
God sanctifies us from command-disobedience
By His discipline conquering our rebellion-resurgence…
We thank Him for His Word of steadfast diligence
That enables us by faith to win against carnal expedience.
God sanctifies us from transgression-pest
By His purity cleansing our errors to the fullest…
We thank Him for His kindness of compassionate zest
That blesses us while we do by faith our utmost best.

I love you as I love the sun,
her blinding rays a blessed truth
that blaze o'er hill and meadowland
and sing a song of winsome youth.
Your warmth puts roaring fires to shame,
ignites the flame that inward glows,
it resonates, and sanctifies
my happy heart, the blushing rose.
Your tenderness, so blithe and sweet
entreats, and gently mystifies,
your countenance personifies
the glisten in your soft brown eyes.
May Helios, that wondrous orb,
forever shine, and play her part,
and may compassion ever mark
the fervent beating of your heart.

I see the beauty in your brokenness
The brilliance in your sad eyes
The exuberant smile tugging at your lips
The passion that escapes in your touch
The softness of your harsh words
The tenderness of your anger
I’m not afraid by your brokenness
For I am broken too
In different ways
In different places
Perhaps less obvious
But broken nevertheless
I welcome your brokenness
For I know, it makes you need me
It makes you want me to bind you together
In a strong and shielding embrace…
A restraining embrace that holds the brokenness together
Not letting even one piece fall
Not letting one piece crash
You ask me how?
How can I love a broken vessel?
I can’t believe you don’t know the answer!
Look at your reflection in my eyes
Do you see any brokenness there?
Look…you are beautiful, my love, my life
In my eyes…there, there is the truth
For I don’t see as others see
My eyes see what lies inside this broken vessel…
A heart that’s pure and devoted
A spirit that was born to soar
A soul that sanctifies
And mind that invigorates
I see…I see it all
It doesn’t matter what the world sees
I only see beauty
Because you are mine
You are MINE!
Your brokenness allures me
Come, my love
Let us fuse our broken parts together
And make each other whole!

Dramatic Monologue
The journey begins, with hope and wonder,
And years seem endless from curious eyes.
Time moves slow before death plows us under,
To reveal its nature and sanctifies.
Days become minutes as we grow older.
Speed of the journey increases with time
The weight of the journey we must shoulder
Decisions and obstacles we shall climb.
We'll never return from where we started,
Or measure the depth of our first stride.
Memories tell of where we departed.
The journey leaves evidence we can't hide.
Life is a gravel road all must walk on,
As we count the nights and await the dawn.

Sonnet
When war jets go screaming by,
bombed-out homes morph into tombs.
And as fire ignites the sky,
scared souls cringe in basement rooms.
As loved ones pray for lost souls,
broken hearts shatter like glass.
And anger's smoldering coals
are fanned by the cost of gas.
Retracing steps prophets trod;
only leads to their shared fate.
For blood stains the hands of God;
when His name sanctifies hate.
There is no peace found with age
when belief divides each side.
For young and old heap their rage
upon the altar of pride.
Martyrs once traversed these sands,
preaching love with their last breath.
Yet, some say God understands
when they link His name to death.
Jews, Christians, and Muslims share
the one same God up above.
And yet, each believes they're
more deserving of His love.

From now on, I depend on God* for my salvation
Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven’s mansion
He, thru His blood, paid for my redemption
As He reached down to me with His compassion.
Thus, I possess His eternal life geared for transformation!
From now on, I rely upon God for my growth’s progress
The Father feeds me with His provisions without stress
He leads me along His truth and righteousness’ fortress
As He nourishes me by His wondrous grace and divine caress.
Thus, I advance for His business, never His will to suppress!
From now on, I trust God for my pursuit toward holy living
The Lord cleanses my filthiness that makes my soul starving
He sanctifies me from my worldly, vain and carnal craving,
As He assures me that my sins He is constantly forgiving.
Thus, I, for His name’s sake, keep on virtuously striving!
From now on, I lean on God for my stability
The Savior strengthens me by His tenacity
He assures me His presence amidst any calamity
As He upholds me whenever I’m into adversity.
Thus, I’m clinging to His unwavering capacity!
From now on, I cleave to God for my contentment
The Spirit fills me with peace and encouragement
He satisfies me by His Word’s empowerment
As He secures me thru His perfect settlement.
Thus, I now rest in His promised victorious commitment!
From now on, I obey God in my stewardship and service
The Master called me to work in His great office
He guides me with wisdom that can biblically police
As He rewards my diligence with sacrifices’ pumice.
Thus, I’m now enjoying my labor, moved by earnest practice!
From now on, I entrust to God my welfare and future
The King fulfills His plan for me so I can virtuously mature
He prepares me well for heaven’s glorious grandeur
As He excites me on what to happen during the rapture.
Thus, I now await His coming in my spiritual adventure!
*Psalm 25:5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Wondrous Luminous Moon
Oh wondrous luminous moon
how many lovers for countless centuries
have been captured by thy timeless beauty
under which
they dreamed and swooned.
Blissful kisses as numerous
as the stars that glisten
in the velvet sky
that sanctifies
the sweetness
of blossoming romance
Two kindred hearts
in each others hands.
Sometimes
I look at that awesome magical moon
and wonder if there's someone out there
waiting for me
to dream with and swoon
and feel that warm tender glow
that those of the same heart and mind
wrapped up in a cosy blanket
of true love
could know.

On the celestial equator she sits.
A splendor to the zodiacal constellation, she is due south.
As starry as he can be, Ursa Major (The Big Dipper) is
her neighbor.
As her picture unfolds, a spike of grain she holds.
Epithet is the Mother of God.
Her spiritual bond sanctifies all.
Her tender love is shown,
as God so loved the world.
An astrophysical being is a twilight of beauty.
So astral and metaphysical, she is truly beautiful.
Holding her offerings, she pauses.
A pictorial of exquisite art this woman is.
In moral excellence, she resides ecliptic in the sky.
Virgo, the Virgin, is the most beautiful zodiac sign.

Daniel Joshua and Jonah
(children's song music & lyrics by Joan Donnelly 1991)
Verse 1
Now Daniel was thrown to the Lions but he was in God's care
Daniel prayed to God three times a day and Jesus heard his prayer
Jesus locked the lion's jaw tight because Daniel did what was right
And the King arrived and set Daniel free ...safe in the King's arms Daniel did flee.
Chorus 1:
You can now hear Daniel praising:
Oh Halleluiah, You scareded dat, awsul bad, maded me mad, that awsul bad lion away.
Verse 2:
Now Jonah was a rebel who refused to obey
Then he woke up in the belly of a whale swimming 'round in his tears 3 days
God sent the whale to Nineveh where he spat Jonah out from his insides
Cuz Jonah said he'd obey God and spread the gospel to the Ninevites
Who turned from wickedness and God saved their hides
Chorus 2:
Oh Halleluiah Jesus, Jonah sang, I love you
You opened the mouth of the whale and rescued me
Cuz I'm too good for blubber stew.
Verse 3:
Now Joshua was an Israeli soldier and a gem to God was he
Joshua and army marched 'round the walls of Jericho 'til they tumbled supernaturally
And God never, never, never, never, never, never , never ignores those who repent and pray
Jesus sanctifies, and he purifies cuz He is the Light and the Truth and the Way.
Chorus 3:
Oh Halleluiah Jesus I love You ooo hoo hoo hoo
Oh Halleluiah I love You, I love You, I love You

Lyric
Shrinking planet changing place
barbaric acts shame mankind.
Human species in disgrace
fortune driven future blind.
Corrupt hearts exploiting hate
modern madness ancient brew.
Inner anger molding fate
flawed logic displaces true.
Children starving babies die
begging food poverty grinds.
Hungry bellies anguished cry
twisted bodies crippled minds.
Exciting times untamed fun
holy war justifies thrill.
Early grave revengeful gun
God's blessing sanctifies kill.
Pushing limits people bare
cunning minds always agree.
Burnt forests polluted air
life’s priceless apathy's free.

You were standing on the beach alone
Sky was fading, blurring into night shadows
Wearing a white wedding dress
You waited with a bouquet of ruby red roses
The moon is glowing now, budding into a full moon
Pouring its molten silver on the ocean and on you
The devil comes, and here comes his darling raven
Out of shattered waves, out of dark that swollen
He kisses your leafy lips and embraces
Sanctifies you and deflowers your innocence
You became devil's bride, you are lying
In rose stained blood , celestial naked
The fiend has set you free from spasm and pain
Of your wildflowers' days
You feel flying like a shooting star
To deep black, far, far away, far

The attributes of the Church is three: authority, infallibility and indefectibility
By the authority of Church I mean the right and power which the Pope and the Bishops, as the successor of the Apostles have to reach and govern the faithful
By the infallibility of the Church I mean the Church cannot err when it teaches a doctrine of faith and morals
By the indefectibility of the Church I mean that the Church as Christ founded it, will last till the end of time
These attributes are found in their fullness in the Pope, visible head of the Church, whose infallible authority to teach bishops, priests, and people in matters of faith and morals will last till the end of the world
The Church has 4 marks by which it may be known, it is One, it is Holy, it is Catholic, it is Apostolic
The Church is One because all its members agree in one faith, are all in one communion, and are all under one Head
The Church is Holy because it’s under Jesus Christ, is holy; because of the eminent holiness of so many thousands of its children
The Church is Catholic or Universal because it subsists in all ages, teaches all nations, and maintains all truth
The Church is Apostolic because it was founded by Christ on His Apostles and is govern by their lawful successors, and because it has never ceased, and never will cease, to teach their doctrine
These attributes and marks are found in the Holy Roman Catholic Church alone
The Church derives to its undying and infallible authority from the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth, who abides with it forever
The Church is kept One, Holy Catholic by the Holy Spirit, the spirit of love and holiness, who unites and sanctifies its members throughout the world.

Cracks in the pavement
Look like rivers approaching
an estuary.
Natural beauty,
the shapes and forms wandering,
sanctifies the road.
Cherry trees branches,
A wide canopy of leaves,
Blossom blows away
Sung geometry,
held still and made eternal,
Catches at my throat.
