Rain drizzling on the window pane
Sullen moments, filled with melancholy
Wishes glued to hopes of sunshine
Rays washing away the storm clouds,
The gray day – the tempestuous darkness

Nothing in life ever felt quite as dismal
As the overcast moments when I was left
To my own devices, my...

Light On the Devil's Chord - Day 23
I conversed with the lone demon,
Who had asked for redemption on an earlier day
On this day her voice was mightier,
More brave, and powerful
She dared not sing in the presence of the Dark Prince,
But spoke freely to me,
Inquiring on Christ and His sheep
She too, spoke to...

I suppose it is not for me to say
if I am truly,
holy polycultural,
if I have given sufficient sway and swag
to ecological and eco-normic We.

My redemptive measure,
merit follows cooperatively healthy design,
deep creation,
consumption balancing nutrient production standards,
decomposition harmonizing regenerating practice,
not polycultural perfection,
but permacultural Climax Community intention.

Life gardens.

the daughter of a miller abducted, exiled, held
locked as prisoner didst bawl
achingly, effusively, indubitably murmured plaintively
quite riotously didst call
out for help, when stalked with facing john deere reaper
with nary a blues clue how to drawl,
a gentle southern twang the heap of straw,...

May - the Month For Spring Blossoms
Much admired, long awaited,
A month of Spring celebrated
Yearly with colourful display.

The bursting blooms of May,
Hastening winter to go;
Erase memories of snow.

May will appear
On time, and make it clear
Nature knows when best
To emerge from seasonal rest.
Hopefully her appearance

Furthers the advance
Of winter’s demise.
Really, it’s no surprise

Spring can...

Flippa

When Katrina came calling,
Lady Blues brought some
Miami Hurricane bad news
Green Dolphin Street pain parade
went Mardi Gras wind marching
down to the delta swamp of Nawl ‘Leans
And the lewd crowd’s demonic gust marlin friend,
Flippa,
was cyclone seen: mid-air, pirouette dancing again

Creole zydeco drown sounds
were Bourbon Street...

The Prestige
Instantly, what is this?
Call the shos, make your bets!
These things come slowly,
over a long time, not "instantly",
I don't like games eih an obvious winner,
Nor magic tricks with no prestige
It's no fair to the audience
Nor the innocent volunteer
Who opened your act with hope;
Hope your show would...

A framed pizza cannot be described as a Mohawk hairstyle in a salon. For if an iron tumbles into a salad bar then ionised tomatoes could become very afraid. Such is the agreeable format for a lettuce leaf. Radiant radishes ridiculing rind. And a dip....

Matthew Scott, Whar Art Thou *****?

Nobody, but yours truly
bore deeply and countersunk
his spontaneity satisfactorily
lightweight corporeal mein kampf,

Regardless of culture,
of religion,
of national residency,
of gender,
of sexuality's vast pantheistic diversity,
of hemispheric prime presidency,

When humans step out of our shelters
into a riotously gorgeous
and fresh
perfect warm sunshine breezy
natural day,
we feel healing positive passion

Is what we have been needing
and what and/or whom
we are currently sacred graced
to feel...

Premium Member Blossoms For My Soul
The sidewalk wasn't yet laid.
Voracious weeds and insidious
grass swallowed up blossoms,
choked life from their roots.
Flowers wilted in the sun,
withered and turned black,
dried brittle to the touch.

My soul shriveled in unison

I placed rocks along the path.
Grass roots crept around and
beneath rocks, seizing my space,
ignored bare patches...

Folie a Deux
Folie à deux
("shared madness," or "madness for two").

I suffer in silence, though not alone
kvetching old curmudgeon (me)
(once upon a time, a promising
long haired pencil necked geek)
buzzfeeding off life's miniseries
of unedited miseries in tandem

with ideal counterpart ofttimes
easily mistaken for a clone
Matthew Scott Harris
unable to function without...
