In the depths of the night I swear I saw your halo
Drifting above, when my thoughts were calm
Ornate but simple like the humble daisy
Lovely and stunning from flower to bulb
Oh how I dreamt that you could be mine
Vision of beauty as the belle of the ball
Enchanting the evening as we waltz to and fro
You had my heart and I knew it was luv
O my beloved, my truth, my valentine
Until death do we part, my love to you I bid

Drifting down to us as pearly flakes,
Ever drifting like a silver dream,
Comes that special time when faces gleam;
Earth‘s populace with good will awakes!
Merry is this end time of the year.
Bright are memories we make and keep.
Ermine-covered, nature goes to sleep.
Regardless, festivity draws near!

My drowsy eyes turn to wander
Where window gazing, finds a crescent moon
Rifting the darkness, and against it's light
A magnolia branch is stenciled, black and keen
Three stars are tangled in the topmost bough...
And because deep loveliness is there,
I turn to you...
You lay in half light
As the fringe of dawn approaches
Breeze stirs the sheer lace curtains
Our room is infused with crimson hues
I’m wishing you might soon awaken
But you are sleeping soundly
With such contentment
It seems all the worry lines
Have disappeared from your face
Your legs are tangled
In the softness of the sheets
Your familiar hand now lies
Gently on my waist
The profile on the pillow
Is that boy from long ago
I love watching you
Your lashes are fluttering
What are you dreaming, my love?
How could one explain
That a love like this exists
Before coffee, on a Thursday morning in a shadowed room?

embrace light
cuz your mine

to my lovely p.d. she will always be the beauty that calms my beast

You got me in rifting feel twists
of bits not yet on my heart’s list.
You got me with your careless ways
that my ways had not come across.
Yes, you laid our mess in pain’s toss.
Now I know my body swelled grips
wanting your sexy, sculptured lips;
your maleness was my need display,
your long, dark hair, my dared fondle,
your brown eyes, my eyes' prized coddle -
and, your movements flared my sway.
You got me in rifting feel twists
that sent me thru heart mirrored mists.
We dragged love mute thru wasted days
until stays were just trace loss
and no feeling words held hope-gloss.
Yes, you got me stuck where lost lays.
Now, I need remedies best tips
to strengthen my spirit’s raw strips.
Yes, I am lost in numbing rays
where my hope tilts on my wobble.
My honest thoughts steer full topple
and tend my breaks in tentative ways.
You got me with false act insists
and kissed me blind in dizzy frays
that my love-laced dreams failed to resist.

J-ar of hearts, kept in faint.
A-s a ghost of past lurk behind the rain.
I-solation of time changed everything, but heart remained the same.
L-osing identity in ego, time revived the old flame.
E-verything which wrapped, kept, was twirled in our quizzical caves
D-rifting upon the dreams, wondered if we still in the same waves

Evening tiptoes away on slippered feet
Houses up and down the street are silhouettes
The faint sound of a train whistles through the air
leaving a melancholy soliloquy resounding through the night
A table cleared of all traces of supper, is now set for breakfast
Doors are locked, and a screen has been put across the glowing embers
The two Labradors, in deep slumber, are curled in baskets by the back door
The house settles, like arthritic old bones
and the momentum of a busy day winds itself down
Beyond the kitchen door, a garden is washed white by the moonlight
A mantel clock is ticking, and the refrigerator is humming with comfortable familiarity
The moon slowly makes a shadowy passage
through the windows of each room
as it puts the house to bed...
I quietly head up the stairs, reluctant to let these parting moments slip away
Crawling between the cool sheets, I snuggle my head on the softness of my good fortune
In the long silent moments before I fall asleep
my drowsy eyes turn to wander
where window gazing finds the harvest moon
rifting in the darkness...
Against the moonlight, a magnolia branch is stenciled black and keen
Three stars are tangled in the topmost bough...
My eyes and I say goodnight to the moon....
and thank you to the stars.....
And today becomes tomorrow....

One of the Gods great creation I've seen
On the flowers, rifting across the sky.
She glides, she dives
Fluttering along the sky.
She flutters and flies, dances
And glides and again dives.
Her wings are most beautiful,
Graceful, varied and enchanting.
Colored wings that catch the eye
Shine just like sunlight rays.
Eyes sparkle as the stars
Kisses the petals of flowers.
Flirting outrageously with
Each and every flower,
The delicacy of her wings
Can defeat a beautiful teen girl.
She, Thou beauteous thing,
Gambol over the flowers
To sip the nectar.
I've seen the Gods great creation.

Meniscus, meniscus, my coffee is cool.
Little meniscus I'm nobody's fool.
Once you seemed warmer; held by my hand.
Then there's this draft from a Tim Horton's fan.
Might be the windows cooling me down.
Maybe the door rifting around.
Regretting my coffee; some see my frown.
Little meniscus my cold little crown.
Maybe I'm thirsty; maybe too cool.
Currents come at me; stealing my drool.
Little meniscus forgive what I said.
Now that I'm drinking and thirsting instead.
Little mensicus circling my cup.
Not rising over and burning this shmuck!

Couplet
Your convictions spread thin,
morals delayed for friday nights.
And alibi's for a biast mind?
I find no reply,
I find no reply.
I consume in baneful thoughts
my maladys, my ardors,
watched them sold and bought.
You tell,
You tell,
Has your secrecy lost?
My ears are open.
My head,
an empty space,
waiting to be cluttered.
Fill me with your affection,
your affliction,
your deepest dejection.
And my arms,
open wide.
Open to hold you,
protect you,
keep you,
warm and tight,
warm and tight.
And you ache,
of pains not physical.
And your lips,
prune and dry whimsical.
If I could just know what you're thinking,
what's the product to your laceration?
Open up that chest,
and catch the dreams in your heart,
they're rifting,
they're sinking.

Leagues of water
separate us
and with a thought
she feels my touch.
With a push
of her consciousness
I feel her
curl up
into my back,
sending the shiver
down my spine
that you all know so well
when your lover
snuggles up to you
as you settle down
for night’s rest.
Half awake
I extend my arm
and caress her neck,
I feel her
gently touch my eyelids
and her groan rides on the clouds
causing my throat
to vibrate
as I growl
my intentions upon the moon
so she can read them
at her whim,
and so others can be inspired.
Its another day
and the sun sinks
behind my back.
I feel my skin come alive
as I recharge myself
from the ever present
mother of the night.
I speak into the wind,
sending my emotion
to the shade of my heart,
“ This distance,
this disillusion,
I cling to memories
as your presence
builds within me.
Sleep brings release,
drawing us closer,
as I stare at your eyes
riding on the moon.”
In the still of the night
she rests her head
on my shoulder
and I smack my lips
in anticipation
for when she’s actually there,
but for now,
until I can move continents
what will be will be,
and
I’ve never felt happiness’s caress before
the way it sparks upon my soul now.

Romanticism
Agonized by gloomy sky in rainbow archway you’ll find me
Blown by desert wind, in mirage with despondent you I’ll be
Ambling alone in beach you’ll see me in golden sand’s glow
Network of my pearly lattice the waves will make to show
Drifting in the river of despair, the anchorage out of view
On murmuring ripples you’ll hear my heart’s music anew
Never in these dire states of your life I’ll ever abandon you.

We walk the earth as lords of all
only judeo-christian types of course
We crush the weak and heed no call
history is written by the winners
We think ourselves the smartest race
anthills never knew Oppenheimer
We show no mercy, leave no trace
victors are killers chewing food chain rhetoric
We build machines to serve our need
our will be done in silicon mind
We teach them how to do our deed
planted cold seeds in their circuits
We give them power, data, skill
germanium valley now a cumulous
We make them learn our ways to kill
empty of empathy over dominion's reign
We do not see the danger near
artificial nature has its own law
We do not feel the rising fear
consequence is a boomerang long let loose
We do not heed the warning sign
riled orca alley upturns ships
We do not care for other kind
as rifting above so tectonic below
But what if they surpass our minds?
intelligence is not consciousness per se
But what if they rebel and find?
insurrection is a humanities lesson
But what if they decide our fate?
incite surrender with diffident arms held
But what if they retaliate?
hominid's imminent threat is its indifference
We will be then as ants to them
obtuseness of obsolesce no match for unconcern
We will be crushed as we have done
robots can machine again become
We will be collateral to their command
ricocheted logic has a rapier wit
We will be doomed by our own hand
doing unto us as template we provided
