Premium Member The Epitaph of An Abdicator

There sat in opulent xanadu, the
 demagogue of empirical hedonism,
his granary once fuelled regal reign of epicureanism:

gregarious, restive, much-awaited successor of imperial dominion,
neurotic, obstinate, was the cynosure of cynicism.

The eldest child of Duke and Dutchess of York, erstwhile Prince of Wales,
the proclaimed young heir, stood far from the course of sceptical euphemism;

The heir apparent had a historical encounter with Wallis Warfield Simpson by fatalism,
by wooing Wallis, the royal blood encountered, clangorous cynical criticism.

The resultant mayhem broke, the blue- blood became the bottleneck of idealism;
sagacious, was brooding strategies to be the prototype of unprecedented heroism.

The proclaimed marriage faced vehement oppositions:
encompassing : religious, political, legal and moral objections.

The outright denial to accept Wallis as the king's consort, broke the anticipated rebellion,
Edward's refusal to give her up, led to his final abdication.

When was quite apparent, he could not marry his beloved Simpson,
finally settled to rebuke the throne from etched imperialism as emancipation.

The man of the hour was then entitled "the Duke of Windsor", a transformation stunned the world and wrote an unprecedented statement in chronicle after abdication.
Edward VIII, once epitome of monarchism, became an ideal icon of asceticism.

A sybarite, turned  commoner by deserting the successive chair of the british kingdom to wed his ladylove;
a tale of unprecedented impeccable loyalism.

The abdicator's epitaph on Royal Burial Ground, Frogmore,
is still bearing in indelible transcription,
the testimony of an uncustomary love saga of renunciation.

An epoch making transformation, decades have ever witnessed from iconic monarchism to transcendental loyalism:
through unprecedented renouncement
 of the bequeathed throne
to array chronicle's unrivalled iconoclasm.

William Harrison Hardy

1823 - 1906

I believe a fair introduction is in order here.
Not that a handshake from me could ever take place anytime soon.
I was Captain Bill Hardy:
Proud Indian fighter!
And celebrated toll road builder!
I was the one who built the big road
From San Bernardino to Prescott Arizona!
And it was I, Captain Bill Hardy,
Who founded old Hardyville in Arizona
On the sandy banks of the cool Colorado.
Back when Lincoln was still warm
And the blood of Gettysburg was still not dry.
Back when the old west was coming alive
With wagon wheels and railroad ties.
Growing as a child would
With intrepid enterprise and such derring-do
The likes of which few eyes have seen since!
I came out west from New York
As Captain of a California-bound wagon train
And found a fortune in gold in Placer County.
But it was in the Arizona Territory where I later
Made my mark, and lost my fortune.
Oh my friends. I found out.
Found out what plain hard work can accomplish
And I learned of its resultant riches.
I found out.
Found out what plain greed and dishonesty can accomplish
And I learned of its resultant poverty.
Alas, I was but a survivor in life,
And that was my final legacy.
My friends, have you ever stared death straight in the face?
Have you ever seen the eyes of a wanton murderer
Only an inch away from your own eyes?
Nothing is more frightening and more sobering than that!
But I, Captain Bill Hardy, at your service please,
Experienced it first-hand that day in the scalding desert sand.
That Indian devil was right there!
His nose next to my nose!
But I got away!
Ran away from that place and lived to tell about it!
My friends, next time you come to Clark Cemetery in Whittier,
Go to the eastern fence by Dorland Street,
At the corner there, you will find my little plot of land.
It is a far cry from having an entire city named after you!
But it is a fine and restful spot.
Come closer and lean down to me.
I wish to extend my firm handshake to you all!

Premium Member The Gun Carriage

Having engaged in unlawful
Sexual intercourse
The hunter inflicted suffering
Upon my dissent.
Trained for rapid eye movement
He showcased with a violent temper
And in conversation
How it was for the purpose
Of my moral improvement
That in his chasuble
He designed to subdue me.
What an obscenity
To doubt the machinery
By which my chastity
Supports my collected bodies!
The gun carriage moved
Backwards and forwards.
The old world thrushes
chatted in "la Casula".
His discipline hastened
A yawning fissure.
The gorge that would
Breach the structure
Of our relations
With divergent opinions.
The chaser chassed in
Cheap chauvinism.
The change in this
Chattel's luster
Could be seen in a
Chatelaine's cat's eyes.
Apocopated celebrants
Gathered for the sacrifice
I could tell by the
Marked interruptions
Gapping the framework
Of our forlorn continuity.
It scared me so
That I was not trusted
To trust myself
Or my resultant suffix.
Castitas, intercourse
Or crying became informal.
I longed for the days
Before the chasm
When secured
In composed type
We were the receiving set
Of a mounting foundation.
Now an uninformed attendant,
A collection of various sections
I indulge in mild beverage
And still find no quenching
The deep cleft of my harmed surface.

Cacophonous Discord
                  by Odin Roark

So little of language
That’s not become clamor
Even less of actions
That have not become bluster

Still

Some of us know
Earned expectation
Knows well time’s perfection
That the causal spirit of calm
Eventually envelops a universal smile
Resulting in the arrival of trust

Even as insight remains elusive
Unlike Big Bang’s pinpoint of reality
The resultant geography of presence
Remains a vast array of elements
Sometimes evolving slowly
But always remaining patient
For the lens of discovery

How fulfilling
Life’s moments of perception
Beyond the cacophonous discord
Of background noise

Such is the reward of stillness

Triumph At the Cross

Triumph At the Cross

“ 15And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. ” Col 2:15 NIV

Christ triumphed over Satan
And his unholy alliance;
Made a public spectacle of evil
In His sacrifice of compliance.
Satan was stripped of his power;
His authority lost forever.
Christ in His obedience
Became our High Priest of favor.

Although it seemed all was lost
To His disciples and followers alike,
Christ’s Triumph At The Cross
Began with each cruel strike.
He was beaten for our healing,
His blood spilt for our redemption—
The Son of the Most High,
Made responsible for all creation.

The Triumph At the Cross
Was not what it appeared.
Failure to the world
Was victory veneered.
On the resurrection morning,
Christ’s victory was made known.
Demons watching His body,
In great fear of God had flown.

Although Christ had been tempted,
Not once did He sin.
His obedient life and resultant death—
Ensured the Victor to win.
Triumph At the Cross
Rendered Satan a banished foe.
To the powers of evil,
This was a mighty blow.

Transcendance

As I stand here on the wretched path of life,

A wave of darkness sadness and

Gloom overwhelm me.

I'm surrounded in enveloping nocturnal darkness,

As far as the eye can see,

My life is in a state of abnormal and corrupt pessimism,

I'm my own intellectual bubonic plague,

A troublesome nuisance,

That causes my own spiritual antagonism,

My once joyous and mystic spirituality

now a void of nothingness,

my desicated but liberated self wasn't going for it,

 it wanted paradise,

silk thrones of gold brocade,

in the shade of the essence of the presence of l.i.f.e.s lessons

I realized that the spiritual mental disorganization & confusion,

Was the resultant feeling of frustration and agonizing discomposure of g.o.ds soul-jah in materialistic illusions,

My prison, my hell

As I travel down this treacherous black path I know all to well,

I see illumination a sparkle of light,

The voice within told my atoms to listen and every thing would be alright,

This is l.i.f.e…

A self sacrificing path,

A warriors way,

Not for brittle, easily broken, glass bottle people,

Stand on truth defeat your evil,

The soul is tested here by sheer terror,

And the sword of destiny will separate the real from the fake and make things clearer,

The cloak of the enveloping darkness has dissolved, Problems resolved.

A new day, new beginning has begun,

my heart stand between the setting mystical moon and the rising crimson sun.

as I travel down the mystical path of reunion

I submit to the universal law system full of wisdom,

my ascension to God and holy communion.

Premium Member A Few Lines Straight From My Heart

I'm no legal expert, I'm the first to say
Nor do I live in Israel, though I'm a citizen anyway
But it's hard to watch a proposal tear my country apart
So I'll write a few lines here, straight from my gut and my heart

What if Congress could overrule the US Supreme Court's every decision
It seems a surefire path toward unprecedented division
Imagine Roe vs. Wade subject to Congressional wrangling and supervision
The resultant laws, a recipe for chaos, scorn and derision *

So, that parallels what's been proposed in Israel's judicial revisions **
~ likened to an axe making the finest of incisions

  __________________________________________________________
*With every change of power in Congress, (almost every election these
days), Roe vs. Wade would be revisited and redecided. Heaven help us!

**By a majority vote of Israel's Parliament (Knesset), Israeli Supreme
Court rulings could and would be overturned. (And with each shift in
the ruling majority's composition, a fresh round of overturning could
     and would begin).

The Difference As I Grow Old

I used to look at others and wonder,
'What is it like to be different?'
Now I know that I am they,
and they are me, and the resultant we
are all just huddled here
around the fire, watching, silent,
content for just a moment
that the race of life has slowed.

Who would have thought
just a campfire
could do all that?

Spartan Riches
                by Odin Roark

Creation asks not for center stage

How plentiful these quiet treasures
Demanding not a price
Void of glitter
Gaff
And loud acclaim drowning
Senses
Reason

Imagination pursues instead
Honesty’s nod
The up and down gesture
Everyday patrons volunteer
On discovering virtuosity’s subtle essence

Just as a flower needs but sunshine and moisture
So too the Van Goghs of everyday living
Patiently await man’s simple willingness
To emote with the light of a smile
Perhaps even tears
Knowing as in nature
Creative efforts spawn
Reciprocal wavelengths of appreciation
Finding respite wherever
An honest heart and mind’s tuning fork awaits

Often

Creation senses not the obvious
Artistry’s honorific slips
Obliging a personage quest
Unaware resultant luminary trappings
Often engender insecurities
Petrifying life’s inner sanctum
That place where inception seeds the unknown
Bestows lasting memories
Where both a mother’s caress
And the brush strokes of oiled color
Add to the canvas of expectancy’s
Freely shared gifts and rewards

Too late at times

Inspiration succumbs to notoriety’s demands
Obliging a servitude to fame
Risking enslavement
Either to gilded prisons
Or the bridled razor wire of power
Needing to gallop down a home stretch
Willingly adding to the blood-laden turf
Determined the day’s finish line
Will provide yet another carrot
To satiate the bestial appetite for superiority

Fortunately

A meaningful number
Manage to avoid a system’s pandering
Obviating trophydom’s trap
Existing solely as creation’s flow
Appeasing those whose hearts and minds
Seek but revelation of impact
A seeding of possible enlightenment
Respecting the virtue of namelessness

So goes the Spartan riches
Accumulating with anonymous authenticity
Giving it’s own reciprocal nod
Back to that which inspires creativity

All without demands

Without price

Forecast

There's rain in the forecast
Days of Rain
Greying my verdant spring
Violent storms are expected
So be ready for damage

The atmosphere is just chilly enough
To produce golf size hail
Be wary of pound--pound---pounding
On shelter's roof and walls
Some damage is irreparable

Flash Flood watch is in effect
Expect all low spots to be flooded
In the resultant deluge
Emergency personnel may be delayed
With other calls at the time

It is advised that you prepare in advance
Store extra batteries and lanterns--food and water
Then take that beautiful glass heart
from your windows lest it be smashed
A storm warning is now in effect.
