Free Association Pulsation

Corsican sand
  on the Rio Grande
Simon Bolivar weeps
  the night asleep

Renegade cycles
  hogs gone mild
Gehinnom's Mayor
  Timothy Leary's child

Zebras abound
  in Peppermint Land
Alan Ginsberg howls
  from primal jowls

Leopold Bloom
  did not predict ZOOM
Cosmic collisions silent
  without Daniel Boone

Country music
  Mix in Ragtime
from Alexander's Band
  to Motown Rhyme

Andy Warhol's mind
  spilled out in soup cans
Campbell's pork and beans
  Welsh Rarebit also-ran

When free association
  Met psychic gestalt
The resultant metastasis
  Petered out beneath salt

Stream of Consciousness is out
  New Age Meaninglessness is sin
Wherever Narcissism reigns
  Foot Worship rushes in

The best poems at night
  often come unbidden
J. Cricket fervently wished
  This one hadn't been written

Your stream of consciousness has allowed himself leverage of being penned. Terrific !

Such a great release, to just let one's self go and have at it. Excellent job here with perhaps some insight into the poet. Really enjoyed, GW !!

Gershon, Such a nice poem to find this morning. I can see the myriad soup cans held in revelry. The flags waving in the breeze pleading 'Don't Tread On Me'. Love it. -Richard

And those soup cans were donated by the local soup kitchen. ha ha. Signs of our times...

It sure does take a lot of differences to make the world go around doesn't it. I used to explain it to my kids this way, A stew is so good for you but if you just eat all meat and no veggies you are going to get very sick. You need green beans and leafy things, orange carrots, red tomatoes, white potatoes, yellow corn, purple cabbage, etc. to make it taste soooooo good. Wouldn't life be dull without so many differences. Great write. God Bless, JB

Kind of thought that this was a journey on a bridge to nowhere when I penned it, but you never know... Thanks, Silent. ~ gw
