She That Rivaled The Glowing Moon

Thy *hyacinth* hair upon white shoulders laid bare
thy face, mirror of love in heavenly skies.
The miracle of thy body, so sweet and fair
its soft innocence, destroyer of worldly lies.

Walking behind thee, in steps where an angel trod
among meadows, flowering in moonbeams there cast.
Must be a heaven for thou art proof of a God
that giveth to mankind a beauty that shall last.

Thy touch, ecstasies that rival paradise
ravishing smile, cool breeze blowing on a hot beach.
In all the universe only thee will suffice
to heal my aching soul and my heart, true love teach.

Thou art my *Irene*, that I drink of thy calm!
Blessed am I, to be soothed by thy kiss balm.

She saw something in me that back then (1973), that could not stay..
Only many decades later, could it reemerge to remain and slay my demons....

Campfire Smoke and Memories

Wind
on a
warm summer
day. Fir limbs sway
like a flapper from
the roaring twenties. The
breeze carries a resinous
scent of pitch and earth, unleashing
a flood of memories thought lost to
time. The campfire smoke and embers still glow.

Latent Storm

Stiff, resinous clouds
sleep upon the tempest tail
gathering strength to churn.

The Breeze On My Face (Part 2)

You grow lethargic,
        time to get
  the blood flowing
                            again.
I start a low resinous growl
    near my diaphragm
        letting it build
            moving to my chest
        where it bounces around
in the hollowness
                     growing,
and as it escapes,
        shaking my teeth,
I materialize
              before you,
your scream
makes my hair stand on end,
          making my lips curl
                      in a vicious smile
and as I stare
     into your eyes
I knot my fingers
              within your hair,
snapping your head back,
          and as
the tears leak from your eyes
I lean in close,
         licking them
              from your cheek
      sooo sweet....
my eyes roll back again
   and in my ecstasy
                    I plunge
            my left claw
      into your belly.
The horrific howl
   you release
shatters my eardrums
          causing them to bleed
              Ahhh....

I twiddle
    my fingers
         within
     your intestines
to get
    as much
          as I can
from the beginnings
              of your death rattle,
causing you
     to create
          your own
               beautiful
                      requiem.

Slowly,
     so slowly,
I slide my hand out,
   and as you watch
I play cats cradle
              with your innards
tying them in knots,
      your gasps and whimpers
are like candy
          to my ears,
     so sweet,
              sooo nice,
eventually
     you collapse
         from
   the delicious pain
and I'm there
           within your
last heart beat,
starting to feed
    before you even
           hit the ground,
flinging chunks
                      of you
like a wood chipper.

Still Got a Long Way To Fall

I'll never know why,

                            I believed her eyes.

Simplicity drowned that night,
                                            Resinous words
                                                                   choked
                                                                               out
                                                                                       my
                                                                                              bloom.

Insipid adoration soaked in divine promise.

She gave me her blood to drink,
only to have me bathe in my own.

I'll never know why,
I loved the way it burnt my throat.

I'll never know why,
she chose to let me go.

All I know is...
                        these stars remind me..

Pine Forest Redoubt

Sun's rays glint through the glistening pines
Residual moisture imbibes the fawning heat
A cloak of needles hovers over the clandestine copse
Fertile fortress clothes the stunted flora
A whispering breeze bristles through the jaded cones
Resinous scent blankets the blanched meadow
Fondling fungus shrouds the damp floor
Glittering flora splices the distant, tawny terraces
Frothy owls hoot above the hoary mist
Foraging squirrels funnel through the fallen, nutty residue
Hollow bark clamors with the jackhammers of restive peckers
Decaying mantle rattles with the sounds of boring beetles
Cackling turkeys scour the ridges for autumn's latent seeds
Petulant peccaries prat and preen through the bleached undergrowth
Earth-toned stags nestle in the deep thickets
Rippling brook gurgles through the sunken hollow

Concrete

Concrete path, Callous-Creet
Ordinary, Offensive to my feet
Nasty, Narrow Tard
Cold and hard
Resinous rebuke
Exhausting EwwwK
Tenacious Tortuous vex
Egregious Ex

Driftwood

Nature's anvil your hearth did score
Fodder pared from such balmy core
Residual chaff bartered to marine store
Parceled for distant, steamy shore

Billowy waves, your shallow mast is born
No banner, gilded sails your trite estate to adorn
Rudderless barge, with drifting currents your hull borne
Tossed to and fro, of steadying anchor shorn

Your rough-hewn cover slimed corroding each side
Your bark-lined deck withering, leached hide
Resinous fibers bleached by each, briny tide
Sturdy bough eroded along the jostling ride

O'er time brokered to some distant land
Beached on a coarse, lifeless strand
Each callous band scrolled with the swells you have spanned
Depleted contraband seeking a mending hand

Soul Sounding Music

Lazily, disdaining up above the sky to pursue
As the setting of the sun is to indolent to hold
Such a tournament is lengthened and embedded in gold
While the sun passively darkens for a night barbecue

I sit beneath a silvery moon hearing barking hounds
for some men have orgies near the Genious of the South
with blood-shot eyes and sweet sugar caned-lips and scented mouths
such surprising sounds while making folk songs like soulful sounds.

Their music vibrates above pine trees made up like guitars
Strumming, picking and singing songs of endearments in vain
many are now caroling a vesber up to the stars.

Mighty singers, I hear resinous in your throaty of songs
they are heard so sacredly like a whisper within the pines
were they given to virgin lips and cornfield concubines
To hear dreams of Christ till I meet dusty cane-lipped bongs.

Premium Member Vows Beneath the Moon

I will steal a million star kisses
from the farthest point of the abysmal sky
Pluck them like the strings of my guitar
then lay them at your feet in a basket of thorny wilderness
wild and laden with blood and lavender
as an atonement of my surrender

I will melt you in scented gardens
among resinous flowers strapped in an opium cradle
woven with the golden sheaves of Elysium fields
filled with sweet honeydews
pleasured with dark perfumed cherries
tasted on the lips parted like Orchid’s bloom

I will billow around you
wrapped in the winds beneath swans wings
woven white with the purity of fine linen
to be swept in fitful breezes of your embrace
eavesdropping to the tender warbles of angelic choirs
sighing through laughing leaves quivering with tenderness

I will dust your body dripping with fruitful pollen
from golden buttered sunflowers tall and towering
painting the sky filled with choirs of yellow canaries
so I may fill your shoes with happiness
in the swarm of brim-filled honey bees feet
so you may shine in the night with the darting of fireflies

I will call upon all the silent stars to adore you
With the brilliance of irresistible light in their affection
to illuminate your smile as you wake to the moon
that lavishly glows to gather the love light
which conjures orange blossoms in your eyes
and turns to fire

Deciduous Strand: Autumn's Toll

Woody corpse; denuded stand emanating a paler hue
Barren limbs no burgeoning life doth construe
Stale, musty scent from it's damp twigs doth issue
Winds whisk through sterile branches sighing a doleful mew
No sheltered perch doth it's pared canopy imbue
No decorative shroud to satiate the gawker's view
A vapid garland with no fruitful fronds to strew
Stilled life whose rings are scrolled with each succeeding, autumn's due
Yet deep within it's fibers resinous juices stew
Spurting forth sticky wads of balsamic glue
Trite lacquer it's brigand hull to seal and preening pests to rue
Hearty saps from tapped bough do still spew
Sweet, syrupy concoction; sugary fondue

Dismal Abya Yala

Hundreds of ancient Nations,
 each speaking their own language,
extinguished by fire, extinguished as fire
by the Colonists, who escaped religious persecution,

just to persecute other people,
 just to take their land.
Cruel as north of Black Sea
 Celts and their sickles.

Descendants of those
who extinguished your Nations
 are reclining on your territories
 instead of making retributions.

The longer they occupy it,
 the greater is their guilt.
In the end we all will be extinguished,
 but spirits are beyond ashes.

What was taken from you,
 you will reclaim.
 The spirit of God
 is commanding stars

as resinous chips in the lanterns
 of your forefathers.
 All powerful and holy God
whose son was killed

when he became human
 by the ancestors of Colonists.
 God the Father resurrected him.
The same God will reconcile all the grievances.

The Sea Cave's Lee

All words and wonder, wobbling copper green
Foam and guano floating
In the sea cave’s lee
A flock of gannets raucous on a rocky pile
And the ever-growing echo as the men came by
Climbed from the boat
And dragged it from the water
Bare feet on painful pebbles relieved by sand
And, at the back of the cave, they dug on their knees
Scooping with their hands
A tiny purple phial was found, ancient and Phoenician
The granite stopper plucked
And, instead of a salty seaweed smell,
An oozing, resinous scent
From the darkness of consciousness
A rose and orange essence
Though not exactly a smell
Rather a panorama of far-off painted and planted secret messages
Kiss-kept by a woman
The tinkle of her bangles upon her wrists and ankles still
Echoed in the cave as if the lady was there
Her glancing eye gripped one cold
The press of her heel as she posed before dance
The burst of laughter with friends
Admiring her pencilled eyebrows and plum-blushed lips
Hips and elbows endearingly tipped
She leant forward and whispered into the traveller’s ear,
All words and wonder:
“Find me some ambergris and bring it to Arabia
Find me some ambergris to perfume my breasts
Find me some ambergris and bring it to my tent.”
