My cousin and I were dismayed
By the kids who were in her third grade
They had no answers to tell
Though they spoke very well
And knew how impressions were made!

They earned an A+ for endurance
For displaying remarkable effluence
They could babble all night
With no fact in sight
Nor any sign of congruence!

Oh, how wise we thought that we were
We could see their minds were a blur!
But now, mid-elections
And selfie confections
We see why they were so sure.

Recitation of the Constellations

A nocturnal phenomenon
When the sun falls from the heavens
And we begin the recitation of the constellations
And chart your wisdom in the fourth dimension

To a constant navigation of hearts that burn brighter
Yearning for the truth, for love and romance
The reason why diamonds even matter
An eternal patience to watch man’s evil deeds and not utter a word
And witness in a profound silence, his hunt and insatiable greed

The stars only exist for stars to exist - to shine with all their might
Man is a sickness, and unintended by-product of the star dust
Our freewill seeks to impose itself on their brilliance
Through astronomy and astrology seeking the stars' guidance

Their light into our lives like a multitude of eyes gives us significance
Twinkling like a blinking eye, winking to give us reassurance
The sphere of the night sky like a wide open eye
Watching over us like the Gods by name we forever praise
The faith to someday also our souls raise

Premium Member Bucks Boy Recitation Poem

Aye 'ee is fierce and hale.
Four mile to work,across the vale;
No slommakin' slattern 'ee,
Okkard as an itching flea.

Eee'd fetch hosses to boss's yard,
Garmed with mud,as thick as lard,
Cla'holt of 'em wiv a rope,
On is own,allus could cope.

Niver sees 'im vexed,or aggled,
Even if drenched and bedraggled;
In lightning 'e wore niver frit,
Though the whole sky wore fork-lit.

Grew peas that kidded well,
Allus 'ad a tale to tell.

Bard's East Side Recitation

ya can't recite a sonnet
without a union card
we got rules here ya know
now move along,
you're not da bard

ya can't be a narrated narrative
neither an alliterative comparative
voiced onomatopoeia sounds like a panacea
but the aesthetics don't fit the phonetics

ya can't be a couple-a-couplets
droppin' duo doubles as doublets

ya can't be a Limerick either
now ya don't look Irish neither
so, authentic you ain't
don't make no complaint
got no chew but yer one last incisor

ya can't get on the open-mic
an' recite jus' anything ya like
it takes rules and forms
to fit into da norms
without causin' a riot or strike

so jus' be aware, we got rules here
acrostics will get cha put down
Iambic pentameter - is the wroong parameter,
and the villanelle - don't go over so well
your calligraphy don't mean nutin' ta dem - or me
so jus' know, how we blow...
'cause, youse ain't da bard

POIEMA PERFECTED

made divine
        & healed
        rescued
        &transformed
our life
fully satisfied
        in the physical
        psychological
        & spiritual
appreciated&
            appropriated
a deliverance
          from bondage
healing hurts
           & memories
life permeating
              our being
in visions of another Eden
heaven
      a deeper blue
erth sweeter green
as his poiema
        flood the scene
a coming kingdom
               scene
light
    with
        no darkness
a purpose
a direction
     love made manifest
timeless
lasting
      satisfaction
         our design revealed
in our organic
                 unity
an immediate impression
death defeated
        a vision giving
        meaning to life
potentialities awakened
     aesthetics imagined
      given form
as dilemmas dissolve
emotions evolve
in
   poiema
           perfected

NOTE::THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE using spaces&breaks without grammatical symbols ,the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' (intuitive cadence)& so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and responds thus making this enigmatic form a two way interplay & interpretatIon unique to the moment& changing according to mood is inherently variable.

uplift
      my heart
dispel
      distress
cast off
       despair
begone

music tingle
           my spine
emotions
        realign

half dreaming
    ...dulcet
              slow
gently awake
'twixt night
    & reality
still
in no man's
             land

now engaged
open
     ascending
           higher&
                    higher
presto
spinning
        round&
             around
escalate
    &wait

a repeat
      unfolds
phrase
     by
        phrase
skates
    then
      slides
stirring
into
action

continuous
     exhilaration
echos
     on repeat
from
   edifices
       of sound

strings
    that sing
harmonized
    into one
played
    breathtakingly
                 fast
dispel
my disquieting
           thoughts

Craft me a tiffany
that others may see

Cut out a matisse
for my mantle-piece

Throw me a pollock
to which others will flock

Abstract me a rothko
I can keep on show

Sculpt like epstein
this profile of mine

Draw like da vinci
a portrait of me

a Gaudier Brezeka tribute

momentary
             fits of enthusiasm
             great in promise
             visible on the horizon
sanguine features
              objects of stimulation
              in a fine beautiful spirit
              gentleness
                     with humour
in delicate movements
               statues
                    sketches& a few
                     page on art
                                      en passant

such shafts of light
          faculty of sythesis
          with a
            faculty of comprehension
sculptured energy
        life in the absolute
        such intensity
                           of existence
         in a petrified
                           semblance
such opulent maturity
   yet
        a fragmented
                      potential
into
       a stasis
                 of defiance
                               free of influence
a sense of stone
in stylised shapes
in opulent curves

as assembled digest
      unyielding in scope

          a consumable scope
for restless inquisitions
now vaguely forgotten
shortened
        by the strain of war
         but
             with
                accomplished
                             ease
in a vortex forseen

the unconscious
      a source of images&actions
      in disguise&gestures
      with slips of tongue

       of
          libidinal desire

id&ego
         expanded
         frustrated freed
         impulses exposed
         as
           universal symbols
         from
           the repository of memory
          the fiction
              of dream&myth
transitioned

a delight to mediate
              on green pasture
        beside

                   pivotal patterns
rich
emblematic repetitive
           to stimulate&arouse
                           the intellect

constraints&traits
enigmas &illusions

to go or stay
or runaway
avoid delay

of my being here
of my being there
of leaving now
wondering how

of roundabout
of hereabouts
of this residence
a missing presence

in this empty house
in this empty mind
in making decisions
to just unwind

of being unable
to decide about
coming home
come home

to a empty house
with a empty mind
and not being able
to just unwind

to go or stay
or run away
without delay

This happening poem is of thoughts and words that happened as I listened to youtube clip(above) of John Cage piano piece 'In a Landscape' which in reality is a part of this happening poem.
