Pulling Back

Pulling back my broken heart
Before you can finish tearing it apart
Now I am finally beginning to see
That you never meant to love me

Desire for me is not nearly enough
Why should leaving you be so tough
Your sweet ways and masculine charms
Won’t keep me happy in your arms

Love is needed, love is required
Without love, my heart grows tired
Of waiting for you to say to me
I love you as you love me

What will I do to slowly end
This love affair with my dear friend
Our weekends together will happen less
My phone calls will be less frequent, I guess

No longer will you hear from me
How deep my love for you can be
Fewer kisses and cuddles and late nights
You say you’re not ready, I guess that’s right

My goodbye will be so very slow
I will be gone before you even know
That we could have had it all, my dear
If falling for me wasn’t your biggest fear

Pulling Petals

Pulling Petals
                                          By Gena
                                     He loves me,
                                   He loves me not,
                                      He hates me,
                               And acts like he forgot;
He breaks my heart when he gives me the look,
Of hate, disappointment, and then throws a smirk
I miss him yet he doesn't miss me.
I can still feel the magic that we used to have,
                      The joy, the laughter,the happy tears;
They're all gone; all that's left is an empty soul.
and the thought of what we had and what could have been...

Premium Member Pulling Back the Curtains

I . . .
will draw back the curtains,
that hide what dwells beyond my sigh;
deep within where I keep the truth in,
                      for, past my beautiful disguise;
there is a heart and soul that weeps and cries !
I must and I will- see my heart and soul free . . .
LORD, how do I rid the debris?
Oh, do you hold that special key (?)
                        for, past my beautiful disguise;
there is a heart and soul that weeps and cries !
I taste the dark tears of my pain,
    and I am torn apart inside;
my wish is break the chain,
      where, I mourn all who have died;
                      for, past my beautiful disguise
there is a heart and soul that weeps and cries !
      Oh, look into the window for my heart and soul;
do I have a chance LORD- to ever be whole?
my prayer to you- is to fly high before I die . . .

Pulling You Back

When you pull me closer to your body
kissed my nose, brushed my lips with yours
stared into my soul with your gorgeous eyes
. . . wait, were you looking right through me?

when you brushed my skin, kissed my belli button
pulled me to your voice
kissed me like you did
. . . wait, it was your choice

i just want to ask, did you mean it

when you made me laugh
rubbed my back, and kissed my skin
when you moved me closer to you over and over again
. . . wait, dont walk away

can you just answer me?

you run when you get too close
but that isnt fair, if you leave

when you wrapped me around you
wrapped you around me
. . . wait, if you didnt want to, why?

if you wanted her more
. . . well then your body definatly lied
i just need to talk
so please dont go away

id do anything to have you
. . . but yes ill wait

when you showed me love
. . . because thats what it was
was it a lie, like every other guy?
or did you really mean it?

. . . wait, before you leave
can you just answer one question?
why are there tears in your eyes?
why are you crying?

Pulling Together

It took the world a tragedy
To pull together
Comforting as a hen
Pulls in her chicks under her feathers
Its sad it took this to show love
When the day before
Many pushed and shoved
Why is that we got money for wars
But cant feed the poor
I see young faces full of pain
While tears flow like rain
What does it take to see
That one will not be free
Until turning from sin
For then their soul they shall win
Call on the mighty Lord
And repent using his sword

Pulling the Plug

I saw the pain in your lifeless eyes
Unable to speak, unable to feel
Laying there not knowing if it's a dream or real
A monitor and tubes,, keeping the nightmare alive
I'm sure this is not how you chose to survive
The Doctors give no hope
No chance to thrive
Now it's my decision,
a life and death in my hands.
Do I pull the plug or take a stand
Then I see the pains in your lifeless eyes
Perhaps your eyes beg me to let you die
My tears and fears are just a lie
I pull the plug and say goodbye
It's the hardest choices that make one cry

Pushing and Pulling

The heart is autogenic and depolarizes no less
But it can be influenced by the ANS.
Autogenic means leaky channels
And within the channel annals,
This means changes in membrane potential
And for the heart, are is essential.

The sympathetic speeds it up and the parasympathetic, it slows.
And both the sympathetic and parasympathetic talk to the nodes
But only the sympathetic to the myocardium goes.

A change in rate is chronotropic.
A change in force is inotropic.

A muscarinic receptor for acetylcholine
Opens potassium channels and that will mean
That as potassium leaves, it will oppose the leak
Of sodium entering and both will tweak
The membrane potential so that it’s slower
To reach the threshold and not from potassium, go lower.
So overall, to reach threshold, it takes longer
But the contraction is not stronger.

Beta 2 is the receptor for the sympathetic response
And norepinephrine it will ensconce.
Separate sodium channels will open and add to the leak
And faster get to the threshold peak.
But norepinephrine binds to the muscle
And in doing so, will make it hustle.
So overall, to reach threshold, it’s quicker
And contraction strength, a stronger ticker.
But epinephrine too, has the same effects
With the sympathetic flex.

Beta blockers which calm the heart
Antagonists that will slow the start
Bind to these receptors tightly
And make the heart beat more lightly.

Pulling the Wool Over Mamma's Eyes

Mamma's eyes were as big as the moon

and a nose like a hound

When her children sins were black as night

The hound lost its scent and she became blind as bat

They could pull the wool over her eyes as easy as pie

Premium Member Pulling the Buffalo

Early morning the farmer pulls
The buffalo to the rice field.
Before sunset he pulls
The buffalo back home.

Day in day out
The animal used to walk
Behind the man.
And finally the buffalo
Turns into a good follower.

Pulling No Punches Part 1

"Let me draw your bath, dear Grace!"
(the space heater's perched upon the rim,
and there's hydrochloric acid, just in case!)

My .45 revolver, my machete from Trelew
will come in very handy
if the other two exigencies fall through!

I think I've thought of everything
except to kill that creep you slept with,
may he rot in Hades, damn his eyes!

Now the the only thing remaining,
harlot, bane of my existence,
is my holler of delight at your demise!

A Pulling Abyss

At a cliff, hanging,
My grip starts going unwind,
Making me fall deep...
A bereaved forlorn abyss,
Comes pulling us to our death...

Pulling Into the Old Train Station In 1957

It had been a long train ride for me then and it had been fun
I was coming home after Marine Corps training was finished and my tour had just begun
So I had thirty days of leave to enjoy before I had to report for duty
And this train ride home for me was just perfect to relax and enjoy the extreme beauty
I boarded this train called "The El Capitan" a streamliner fully equiped for joy and ease
In Los Angeles on that early November morning, full of good feelings and very pleased
The scenery was fantastic throughout the entire trip as I watched from the upper dome
It was a special car for observing with tables to play cards or eat as we hurried on home
The landscape was ever changing and so many times I was fantastically in awe
The mountains and the desert and the flat lands and the crops so much I still recall
The old train stations where we stoped for a short time to let people off and on
And the complete aura of it all including the pipe smoke, cigars, fragrances cologne
The scenes were a wonder and the people were quite varried and seemed jolly
My trip came to an end, we pulled into the old Union Station in Kansas City, " by golly"
And my folks were there to greet me and we hugged and cried and loved and went home
And it was a perfect ending to my trip that I had enjoyed so much in that dome

Premium Member Pulling Up Anchor

A drifting cloud anchors itself on the hillside
Where admiral butterflies on warm breezes glide
Beneath a sky of azure where meadows abide
There are bird songs afloat, on winds they hitch a ride

Yonder, a boat tailed grackle on a post is spied
Looking for grasshoppers that in the grass reside
A meadowlark sings to lure a mate to his side
As he shows off the colors that nature supplied

A plethora of flowers, nectar they provide
As bees buzz around in black eyed susans they hide
Then the cloud pulls up anchor, I watch it divide
As a new cloud approaches, its sail tall and wide

Pulling No Punches

will come in very handy, lest

I'll sneak up, and take him by surprise!

With climate fragmentation, unholy pathology
comes ecosystemic over-specialization
supports growing competitive ego-autonomy,
playing a WinLose ZeroSum devolutionary depressing game.

With climate interdependence, holistic health
comes ecosystemic resilience
becomes cooperative ego/eco-restoring resonant compassion
playing a WinWin NonZeroSum
Whole integrity-potentiating Earth HealthJustice System.

Most, if not all, of us
live somewhere between these everyday climate trends,
deductively fragmenting Yang is everything EgoCentric
and inductively integrating Yin is nothing but interdependent EcoSystemic.

It is an integral principle of Systems Theory,
If you want to change what isn't working so well,
in this case, egocentrically, anthro-hubrisly fragmented,
rather than focusing solely on defensive repair strategies
give yourself, and allies, and cynics,
initial freedom to think outside the current competitive WinLose frame,
to reconsider revolutionary Eco/Ego-Systemic WinWin
cooperatively-owned and -managed opportunities
for multilateral giving and receiving compassionate co-investments
instead of monocultural infestment,
risk cooperatively building
a renewed overpowering interdependent health and climate care.

We own an integrity principle in Permaculture Design,
Give priority to WinWin healthy outcome optimization
with the least amount of WinLose risk of losing
energy-resilient
democratic
self-maintenance systems.

In other words,
Why feel defeated by anger and fear management technologies
to increase tolerance for cognitive-affective dissonance?
When you could also choose WinWin cooperative compassion therapy,
which will unveil non-violent communication behaviors and belief systems
as we travel along together
more cooperatively downstream resilient,
and not so much struggling upstream dissonant.
