My Primary Emotion
~ My Primary Emotion~

Three days ago I decided to become heartless by
eliminating my Spirit and Soul I could not take
the agony anymore.

I urged my lawyer to come, he looked at me and
asked, what is wrong? Gazing at him said,
I don't regret committing that...

The Riders
The pre-dawn stillness was temporarily broken by the sound of crunching gravel as boots meet rock like an orchestra of timpani drums, beating in unison as the wearers make their way to the iron steeds, sitting dormant in the chill of morning dew. ...

Apologize For Slavery, Part Ii
...But the problem with apologies
is where exactly do we start?
The Aztecs took thousands of slaves,
and ‘praised their gods’ but cutting out hearts.
The Indians enslaved each other,
and settlers in the many wars,
but the Spanish enslaved them,
equal opportunity horror.
And the British enslaved the Irish,
three hundred thousand sent...

The Path I Chose
'I have seen what the world has to offer and have indulged in its many guilty pleasures. I have enjoyed myself immensely but the end thereof was as bitter as gall.'

Through self righteous eyes I thought my ways were right
Pursuing after vanities and all that...

Premium Member Creolizing Grace
We often lament long-term effects of slavery
on those enslaved across multiple generations.

Enslavement leads to addiction and codependent denial,
then is taught and mentored to enslaved children,
also separated from family and sold,
until third generations and beyond
were dressed in commodified adoptions
and creolizing adaptions
and fear
and anger
and despair
about not born...

Reparation
Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Reparation
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: July/2014

Why  can't we
get paid?

We want
our
reparation,

for
lost wages
of
our labor,

since
the
Atlantic Slave
Trade- began

Reparations
for pain
and
suffering,

from being
auctioned
as
commodity,

to
racist
White men -

We were sold
off,

to
different
slave owners,

displacing us
from our
mother, father,
sister,
and
brother, forever -

We demand
to be
compensated,

for our
separation
from
family -

We want reparation
for
false imprisonment
as slave's.

Why can't we
get paid?

What we want
is
Retroactive Reparations -

It's the only
way

that
we can
catch up
financially,

to
the descendants
of
white slave owners,

who profited
from
our hard...

The Art
The artist curls her hair.

splashes the color with a lot of care,

she has to be fair,

and fashion should be in a simple manner,

the painting is then thrown to a rich trader,

so the painter has profited.

Not knowing whose hands it is onto,

but the owner is sure...

Man On Fire
*Author's note. I wrote this after watching the 2004 movie man on fire and wrote the feelings that I felt the main character Creasy had throughout the movie. Enjoy :)

I was in the deepest darkness
Hands stained with blood
I was but a shell of a man
Living...

Bend Over, America
would you rather live in a
totalitarian state which
doesn’t dilly-dally round the
truth, pretending that citizens
have freedom, feeding them
the illusion that they will not
be crushed more & more
each day & squandered by the
rich elite in charge, whose hand
on the button, whose police in
the pocket...

The Uhaul and the Hearse
I seen something weird the other day, for it's surely not funny
It's was about the sad desperate way of peoples love of money
Only the hearse and the U-haul behind, I couldn't help but see
How this man was so blind and that now he will never...

1 Point 2 Million Dollars
$1.2 million

the british empire couldn’t do it
the soviet union couldn’t do it &
now the great big policeman of the world
is ready to finally
retreat with their tail wagging between their legs
all the way home
with the tax payers bleeding
from inside the domestic walls
paying over a million dollars...

Pharisees and Scribes

As they had absolutely no clue as to whom had just spoke
It was our Lord and Savior and yet still nothing inside...

The Water In the Teapot
the water in the teapot is boiling &
the top is rattling---
as the hot steam begins to bubble out
the piercing scream is coming---
14+ million out of work
no universal health insurance
foreclosures upon foreclosures
(just in time for the “holiday season”) &
the
99%
have
had
it---
while the mainstream media does its best

Shout It From the Roof Tops
I like Germany
I like the Germans
I have friends there
I worked for a time near Frankfurt
And I visit Berlin often
It’s my favourite city
They are nice people
Friendly and welcoming
They share our hopes
And our aspirations
We are so alike
We have always been alike
Well almost always
There were dark days
When...
