Best Plumage Poems
Pretty peacocks parade puffy plumage,
painted peach, pink, purple...
Patterns preview picturesque poses,
pleasing peahens' passion.
Peacocks' plumage presents protection,
potential predators pass promptly.
"Plumage"
We are the iridescent gems
kicked like rubble
gifts to give
we walk souls
in dead bodies
all colours, plumage to be free
accepted our truth,
is shunned by the better ones
we are viewed obscenities
integrity takes courage
honesty by the beautiful ones
broken down by frowning whispers
bits of us shine
put together again macrami shame
hung around our necks
we are
a puzzle
considered feigned
by the holier than thous
discouraged
we are love that is hidden, pain
Love is Love
Life is Life
inside comes out
eventually
different coloured feathers
freely given flight
brighter than ordinary
what is expected tries
so many times, tears cry
windows open
credence to be seen
uncovered jewels that glisten
soulfully divine
in Divinity’s eyes
Heaven listens

"Whispering that same prayer
half a million times
It's a lie, though
buried in disciples
One page of the Bible
isn't worth a life
There's something wrong
in the village,
In the village..."

Plumage
cuddled in the nest
twigs woven in mother's zest,
until the young fledged ....

Peacocks always strut about
In all their cobalt splendor;
While peahens, on the other hand,
Get ripped off for their gender.
Many birds do follow suit –
The males get all the frills;
While females’ feathers, drab and brown,
Don’t offer many thrills.
As humans go, the opposite
Is usually the case;
For sparkling jewels and colors bright
The female does embrace.
Except in New York City, where
We’ve set the species back,
Since most stylish New York women
Like to keep their plumage black!

Plumage
A feather swims in a vagrant squall...reeling whilst plummeting,
Its burden then bobs impeccably...outstretched like some mushroom,
Pirouette spirals expel...trivial rippled waves ashore.

bright plumage beyond compare ~
bird of paradise
Spectacular feathers encased in iridescent long train,
latticed vibrant art, on eyespots turquoise tinge dyed.
The raised shimmering fan quivers excited, not in vain,
the amorous display rewarded during courtship ritual,
burden of tail arch the rhythms of dance always hide.
A prominent avian glory peacock’s beauty could gain,
as the exquisite Indian national bird of lasting pride.

Rhyme Poem In August 2021.
You found your plumage
In your feathers
When the sun was on your wings
And when the thermals bore you on
Your heart burst out in song
You roared in flight
You scorched the sun
You sang the song unsung
And in your plume your feathers burned
You plunged; your song undone –
You found your solace
In your feathers
When the gloaming preened your plumes
And when the moon was on your wings
You dreamed of other things
And what you learned of darkness
And what you learned of light
You learned the day you burst into
The heart of heaven’s eye
Burning out in flames of youth
Your plumage blazing bright –
Prying avians
appearing over the scene
