More Pickles Than One
For ten months now I’ve brooded over coming second place
in the pickle section deeming, it no less than a disgrace.
It was written plain and simple, so there can be no excuse,
that the pickles in this section must be made from local produce.

So my asparagus...

The Glue That Holds Us To the Canvas
Like sparks trailing
from a million, billion fireflies,
a single thought limns a trillion suns.

From the first small bonfire
flickering across four million years,
whose light imprints itself
upon the canvas backdrop
of a feckless, barely cohesive Infinity,

the matter of man, no more than
the past, transmogrifies the future --

denies the import...

How marvelous that when we bleed,
To staunch a flow with little speed,
If not too deep, no bandaid need.

A miracle occurs indeed:
The platelet, wondrous little seed,
Exposed to air, sprouts like a weed,

Creates a mesh from here to there
It shortly spans, forms little hairs,
And fairly soon is...

Ain't no wonder we're baffled about eatin' - ever'thing is taboo.
We're deluged by self-appointed gurus toutin' their points uv view.
Can't they desist and find somethin' more productive to do?
They can eat their tofu and water cress- I prefer a hearty stew!

The experts can't determine...

Gone-No More-Goodbye
The Heart That Bleeds Contest
Sponsor: Malta Forever

I've been lost and found and forgot where I should start,
it's all contingent on the circumstance of my bleeding heart.

Gone...no more...goodbye...

My veins twist and my senses expand,
as I walk by your picture on your old night stand.

Sure, there was...

My Story, So Far
This has more similarities to a story than a poem.

November 2010 - I was in second grade when I started feeling drowsy and weak. I would come home with unexplained bruises, and neither me nor my mom could come to a conclusion. I started turning...

The Invisible Chains
I woke to a winter morning cold as stone

Afraid of my shadow

The invisible chains, heavier than led

I realized where it began

When men lost humanity

In the garden of life

They eat the fruit of life

Realizing the naked truth

Yet the beginning of our differences

That multiplied over time

And evolved...

Tales of the Lambergyl Bruegles - Nonsense Verse
In a domain, now lost in time,
There roamed a minervoo over the land.
With five hairy legs under platelets of rime;
They skidded and skated, they frimmed and they frammed.

But by far the scariest, creature of all,
Was the Trestial, Lambergyl Bruegal.
Standing only one foot, three inches tall;
It...

Four Walls
A beautiful box in the golden morning when you are watering plants
At midday a workshop where you are providing me with the ladder
In the evening a walled closet to transform the personality and gravity
At night you first gather the stars, pour them on my body,...

fame,
you *****
it was you who taunted us
we walked
on razor sharp blades
of grass

covered in white dust

on the surface
we used the word art
and crapped on it
like so much hay

hey
we did it every day
in every way

without a kiss
we fornicated
on the carpet
where we rehearsed

Coeur Solitaire
the empty chambers
of a heart buried deep,
low beneath a vibrant earth,
darkly fed by brackish storms
washed into catchbasins
wetly percolate through broken clay
through caverns delved by mineral roots
building languid waves
silent currents pushed upon
borders of an unseen shore
burbled...

Coagulation

Finally, my blood began to coagulate,
Flowing like insomnia
Between the wounds of dawn and dusk
When wounded memories drip pools of enigmas,
Fleeting gossamers of absolutes,
Drying into sticky puzzles.

Bloodied dreams wander labyrinths,
With no exits,
Leaving spatters of millstones
For ruminating relics to follow,
Thin images of wispy...

Tension
I feel sick.
Self-destructive and agitated
I struggle.
My body aches
as stress pulls at the wires in my brain,
frying my nerves
and shutting off rationality.
Stress collects in my fibrous tissue,
sitting stagnant as more of it
builds, like accumulating blood
platelets forming a clot in someone's vein.
It becomes incapacitating
as...

BIKER
The night sky is made of black tar, and broken glass,
And the moon, if you melt it in a spoon, once was an old hubcap.
So by the light of night, ride the Milky Way’s bright stars
And by day, cruse the endless highway,
Via cheap...
