The Invisible Chains
I woke to a winter morning cold as stone
Afraid of my shadow
The invisible chains, heavier than led
I realized where it began
When men lost humanity
In the garden of life
They eat the fruit of life
Realizing the naked truth
Yet the beginning of our differences
That multiplied over time
And evolved through time
Became visible like the color of skin
Perception has become the worst deception
You, yes you,
I remember you
You told me I was a waste of semen
Yet I was born with a proud face
See I am nothing but a seed
That carries the sins of a farmer
But Now that our difference are broad
Life has become too shot
You and I are still stuck in traffic
Walking to the Promised Land
On our way back to reality
Shadows and dust
It has been the same in the past
What you have just read
Is a little of what my heart has bleed
Drenching the page with my last platelets
And die to live another day..
