Best Picture Contest Poems
Empath whispers hold covered silence
desires whisk away with the moon
earth tone times of trepidation
dragged off and hidden in the ruin
pain stains blush red under pretense
separate flights of frighten
leaves float
frustration fills the noon
snipped strings hang
on acceptance
what's left of you
looking back forgiven specks
eyes don't lie
aspirations exhaust
breaths rest
hearts reaching past the black
gasps aghast
screams seams split in two

As darkness approaches,
among corrupt horizons.
To the angel in my nightmares-
no longer can I survive,
chained to such expectations.
Let me live in peace,
don't let this vessel sink.
Show me mercy and,
let this heart drown
in a thousand petals,
immersing in fragile fragrances.
So this soul can flow,
bathing in illuminating streams,
cleansing these painful afflictions.

You can see the little corner of light,
back behind the shadowing cloud.
If man were not so self-centered,
we would recognize that which is so proud.
When I see the epic sky above
the land so stark and alone.
I see the hand of the Lord
Overshadowing all that has been done.
The strength of His hand is there to see
if you will look with both heart and eyes.
His fingers cover the entire sky
as we await the rains of His surprise.
His hand out stretched to cover all the earth
from horizon to horizon above.
Guarding the world He has made
in His abundant love.
When I see the power of His greatness
in this epic show of His hand.
I think of the wonders that await
for us, how they must be so grand.
I feel sorry for those who do not believe
in Him or His Son.
But where would power so great be
had He not said, "Let it be done"!
For in these images that we see
we can feel the strength of a mighty rod.
More than that in this epic I not only see,
I feel the hand of God.

T This mournful yet glorious story,
H Hath ever set our eyes on Glory!
E Entombed in an unsullied grave,
O On the Cross for us His life He gave!
L Lamb of God destined to sit on His Father's throne,
D Death He overcame for our transgressions to atone!
R Resurrected on the third day to live forever,
U Undefiled He promised to leave us never!
G Guards placed upon His brow a rustic crown of thorn;
G Gamblers cast lots for the garments He had worn.
E Early that glorious Easter Morn the tomb was bared!
D "Don't be alarmed!" an Angel of the Lord declared!
C "Christ is risen! He is risen! Spread the word!
R Rallying o'er the grave foretold by the prophets has occurred!"
O Overcome with joy His Disciples recalled Jesus' promise:
S Saying, "I'll die and rise again!" (Convinced was even Doubting Thomas!)
S So often debased by man, He rose to become The King of Kings!

A mother's love:
is a warm embrace.
It is bed-time stories,
and pancakes for breakfast.
A mother's love:
is kissing a boo-boo,
making the hurt all better,
with a cookie and a hug.
A mother's love:
encourages what is good,
discourages what is bad,
and always forgives.
A mother's love:
is unconditional,
unforgettable,
neverending.
A mother's love:
is all encompassing.
It's a cozy snuggle,
on a cold winter's day.

the barren reflects
winter sits at water's edge
mossy stones don't move
Warm breeze tumbling,
Lone oak in meadow swaying;
Natures peaceful trance.

For Raul's picture contest
"I didn't know it would be so fierce!"
The eyes
The eyes so piercing
Looking through you as if
You were some object
Of her anger, or excitement
Inside her clasped hands
Is her mouth, unknown
Is what is going on there
Spite? Joy? Fear?
Seemingly she escapes
The plea of being
Alone, as she implies
You are seen
And her emotion
Is geared towards you
Her hands look
Like scales of a fish
Leading you more to wonder
What exactly is there
Her hair dyed, to accompany
Her mood
But doesn’t reveal
The exact emotion
Of her mouth in hiding
Looking at you
She desires something from you
But what is it?
What does she want?

Poetic words flowing so naturally,
On this soup of aesthetic candidacy,
Epic verses releasing from one’s soul,
Touching the heart of young and old,
Radiating love with each comment,
Yare ideas to be shared in our convent,
Soup filled with ecstasy and despair,
Optimistic outlooks eager to be shared,
Unbelievable stories from people all over the world,
Poetic words now unfold from the minds of both boy and girl.
For Adeleke Adeite's Poetic Picture Contest
Just see the morning itself has come to sit in my spine shaking in delight
A grand sun much grander in splendour than the one you see everyday
Is bubbling over in laughter of each and every molecule of my existence
Bringing out dark green vibrations on the back of my palms and wrists
Eruptive delight sits on the skin thrilled in the vibrant hours playing violin inside me
Just look at the radiant eyes at their height, an expression of the dances of my being
To announce to the world through the bugle of hibiscus in my bone marrows
Upon the glorious pine trees in infinite twitter thousands and thousands of sparrows
You have made me happier than ever I have been under the sparkling blue sky
In never-before-known exhilaration is booming within me many a celebrating gun
I don't know why I can't control the tremendous force in my whirling bloodstream
Rushing in my mouth gums teeth and tongue so the eyes can raise intense waves
How could you raise the crimson creativity that make me resolved to see hundred flowers blooming
In the whirlpool my love has generated in the crazy hemoglobin of my struggle
The happiness that I now carry in my breasts you don't know what a violet and blue sky
It is going to give birth to along with sounds of high and low tides in response to the passionate moon
I am just crystallizing my golden resolutions and visualising in wonder
What a typhoon it would be
Never there have been such a pink hour to taste what life means and never there will be
In the scarlet vibrations of the impatient seconds please wait a little sweetheart please wait for me
Let me enjoy as long as I can hold this intoxication of bliss and ecstasy
