"Xanadu of Oranges", the reporter wrote,
just one of many paper slips and notes,
left behind when the poet died, unquote.
To his very last moment, he had hopes
that he could write that one poem so supreme
in its cadence and rhyme, in its meaning
so sublime, that no one could miss his dream.
No one could misinterpret, none seeing
his words could mistake intent or lament
that he had regrettably missed his mark
or remark, "derivative!",or really meant
much of his work as only so much dark
comment on a personal life of strife and grief.
No, he meant a poem to sweep you off your feet.

Lying Eve

You pretend I'm Adam
lying "Eve"
My love songs all yours
you believe
Stalked me on Soup
until I went away
I'm hurt by the news
you're back today

Changed your name
a hundred times
But I can spot
your kind of rhymes
Cause most of them
are copies of me
And even my comments
now all can see

So I've got nothing
to lose... to you
Will TPS punish me
if I prove it's true
"Eve TMC"..
you're a thief, you're a liar
Your Soup Mail letter
revealed sick desire

On Poetry Hunter
you take my writes
Stealing my thoughts,
it's not all right
Plagiarism is a crime..
backstabbing "Eve"
I'm exposing you
if you don't leave

~Lyric Man

Note: TPS may suspend me for calling "Eve" out, but she will not push me out of Soup again. She is one of two people who stalked me here and in my personal life. Just yesterday, "Eve TMC", cut and pasted my comments verbatim to one of Silent One's poems, "Shores Of Uncertainty" (both comments on page two). How does anyone steal comments and then post them to the same person? You got lazy "Eve" or you're pure crazy!

I'm a nice guy and wish "Eve" no harm, but I'm going to protect those I love Fiercely! "Eve TMC" may disappear today but she'll be back tomorrow as someone else. She's had five or so names in the month I've been back.

A Tribute To India's National Poet

Oh, my dear honorable poet!
Words recess when I write about you
 For, they start loving you

You were a sincere lover,
   when you wrote about love;
You were a lovable mother,
    when you wrote about a child;
You were a faithful leaf,
     when you wrote about trees;
You were the struggling last breath,
      when you praised the air;
You were the righteous river,
       when you sang about the falls;
You were the boundless sky,
     when you sang for the birds;
you were the yearning bare land,
    when you wrote about the rain;
You were the trustworthy soldier,
     when you wrote about patriotism;
You were the jubilant mother nature,
     when you wrote about nature;
You were the powerful priest,
      when you praised the lord

          Through your worthy words,
you gave life to the abandoned swaying rope;
           Your notable notes,
persuaded songs to the singing koels;
           Your incredible imageries,
granted countless ideas for the poets;
           Your romantic rhythms,
enriched soulful meaning to the ragas;
            Your powerful patriotic songs
obliterated the superfluous fears
             and your proud personal life
      taught us self-respect

Note: September 11 marks the death anniversary of India’s firebrand poet and a revolutionary thinker from Tamil Nadu, Subramania Bharati. In a relatively short life span of 39 years, Bharati left an indelible mark in India’s history as not only a Tamil poet but also as a national icon.

Guaranteed to Blow Your Mind

Farrokh Bulsara a.k.a. Freddie Mercury
British singer, songwriter known universally
Confirmed he had AIDS and then died the next day
His music through Queen still rocks us all the way

Came a man from Zanzibar named Farrokh
Whose tastes were both flamboyant and baroque
For fame he was ready
Changed his name to Freddie
After his death millions still love this bloke

A Heathrow baggage handler prior to fame
Wrote a song about his favorite cat, Delilah by name
In his personal life he was very shy, gentle and kind
His life and times are “guaranteed to blow your mind”

Reading

READING

Always have a book at hand,
In the parlor, bedroom and loo.
Condensed thought on paper,
This is the world for you.

My daughter loves to read,
Must have something to hold.
No cover or pages,
Not even a center fold.

Electronic books these days,
For the person on the go.
Flip it on for convenience,
Living color, like a show.

Reading can entertain,
Delight the lonely heart.
Those without education condemn it,
The learned ones tear it apart.

The many pieces of the written word,
Bring light to those in the dark.
Challenge the mind of the curious,
Give your life a spark.

No entertainment is so cheap,
No pleasure lasts as long.
Your mind flies o'er the pages,
The words are like a song.

The love of reading,
Challenges the soul.
Nothing else given to man,
Can make one whole.

There are those who read,
To know what the world has done.
Others to enhance their personal life,
To be the brightest one.

It's not easy being a cat, you know
They say we have nine lives
But truth be told, like you, we have but one
In my personal life, in my odyssey to the road of being loved
I purred many days and nights on doorsteps until I found the warmest hands
Sleeping 'neath the stars many a night, thinking to myself...
"There must be someone out there"
Someone out there who will shelter me, care for me, and love me
Someone out there that is kind and thoughtful
Someone out there, for Christ sakes- that likes cats!
Well, my quest for finding love had finally come
And trust me, it was well worth the wait
When Ms. C brought me in,
I knew that I had finally found the "Purrfect" home
The unconditional love that she gives to me...
Wags my tail in motions that even I didn't know existed
Now, I look at those same stars at night, thinking to myself...
"It's so nice to be a cat"
I don't know if I will ever have nine lives
But one thing for certain is that I lived two
One very scary and lonely life...
And one very loving and beautiful life
All thanks, to Ms. C
And for her wonderful kindness...
To cats, like me

I met you several years ago
When I was very overweight
I wasn’t very confident
But meeting you was fate.

I didn’t really think that I
Could have any success
My personal life was horrible
I felt like such a mess.

You were very encouraging
You told me I should try
To set some small achievable goals
I had to walk before I could fly.

I kept coming to your meetings
Even when I felt bad
That I’d binged out of control
And didn’t use the tools I had.

Eventually I began to do the work
And the pounds started going away.
I also got rid of a bad situation.
Things were getting better, hooray!

Now I’m at a size I want to be
I truly am successful
I rarely turn to my binge eating
When my life is getting stressful.

I don’t know where I’d be
Without you on my side
I wouldn’t be able to look in the mirror
And feel such wonderful pride.

The Invasion of Privacy

The invasion of privacy…

Is an assault on personal life
A public display
Of a private retreat

The invasion of privacy…

Is an intrusion on a closed conscience
A public magnification
Of a secluded soul

The invasion of privacy…

Is a foray into isolated territory
A public attack
On a silent psyche

The invasion of privacy…

Is the terrorism of individual emotion!

The Lazy Man

"Working very hard to become very rich is not my style",
he mourns deep inside his soul. Suicide is his resolve, for when one dies,
there is no working; toiling in the Sun and rain. Running a home, firm, and his own personal life has been a burden to him.

"Death is my liberty!" he jubilates, as he jumps off a cliff.....

'who Is Sylvia'

Sylvia I was christened
And for sixteen years it suited fine.
It was then I started working
Where another had this name of mine.
"To avoid confusion"some bright spark said
"Why not call the original(fifty year old)Sylvia by her name
And the new one junior instead"
Well I was most indignant, teenage ego crushed.
I wasn't going to have this at all.
So I reached a compromise shortened it toJune
And only responded to this call.
From then on to everyone even future spouse
I introduced myself by this name.
Sylvia in personal life slipped away.
But for officialdom it remained the same....
I penned this to avoid a build up of confusion
And to protect this poet's sanity.
Please super Soup friends call me June.
When you write Sylvia my mind asks 'who is she'?

Elizabeth and Richard

Elizabeth Taylor known as "Liz'
Her acting skills and violet eyes make her a star in show biz
Jewelry was her passion, but her simple kindness was the jewel that made her shine
Married eight times (to Richard twice), no man captivated by her it seems could decline.

Richard Walter Jenkins aka Richard Burton
One of the best actors in his time with Welch good looks that was certain
A notoriously heavy drinker and smoker caused him to die fairly young
Married five times (to Liz twice), diaries of their personal life have recently been sprung.

*Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton had two volatile marriages to each other.
Even though they had love and passion it's a prime example of how keeping a marriage together requires more than loving someone.

I Love My Little Sister With All My Heart But Please Help Me Understand

I love my little sister with all my heart
But she is always in my personal life that has nothing to do with her
She tells me to stop going into her personal life that I am not in
Well I have a life
I have feels inside me to although some times I may not show it
I have other feelings other then love
I have other feelings then boys
More importantly I have feels about who I am in life
Who I want to be
Who I am now and who I wanna be
How can I tell her that I dont wanna always have her writing on all my poems
How can I tell her that not all the poems are about me
How can I tell her everything that I just wrote in this ?

Who Am I

I Used to be this girl that was so concieted. taking pics of myself always saying how
beautiful i looked to my self and was told that all the time. a couple years go past i look in
the mirror and hate what i see. from being harrased about my gender at work from
coworkers to managers and then having it happen in my personal life took a toll on my
confidence.. when i look into a mirror i see what they see. hearing people ask is that a
man. tore me down because i use to drop to my knees at work asking god whats wrong
with me. looking at myself saying ewww hating myself picking on myself for what others
saw. dont be blinded by what you see in the pic. lord knows im all woman. i just want the
ignorance to stop. thinking if i popped a bottle of pills and ended my life it all will go away i
couldnt take it.. but god told me that im still alive for a reason and i can over come this..
crying to my past boyfriend. to hearing his mom whispering mean things about me to her
son. but never telling him i knew.. thinking if i layed across a table to get surgery then it all
will go away. still nothing helped me get through this pain.. i havent went through this all
my life and to go through it now bothers me who am i?

Love Ambassador of Love

I’m a love ambassador of Love
A chosen representative of
the One King, Alpha and Omega

I’m a love ambassador of Jesus Christ
A lowly person who was elevated
to be a devout Christian diplomat

I’m a straight truth talker,
I ain’t got no time
for listening to unrighteous souls
murmuring and lying

I’m a love ambassador of peace
A highborn scribe of humble integrity,
who was assigned a low profile ghetto identity

It was the first job on my spiritual resume,
to undercover report, give an eyewitness account
Record all the oppression, video file the pain;
audio loop the happy times of possession
Archive every act of degradation and shame

I’m a crooked liar stalker,
I got nothing but time, a lot of precious time
for following the tracks of predatory souls,
who be killer preaching, assisted suicide spiritual dying

A repentant personal life got me promoted to my last job;
a no-title ghetto ambassador,
who opens each forum the same way:
If you don’t know, God is Love
But if you wanna know, you gotta pray

I’m a love ambassador of Jesus Christ
An angry person who has since mellowed out,
now have a perfect Holy Ghost statecraft

I’m a love ambassador of Love
A predestined human agent of
the One King, Alpha and Omega

Your Accolade

In the summer of 1989, Keimona and Angelo were brutally gunned down on our San Fransico Estate. I was shot in the left-chest and survived, but my parents died. I was only seven years olded.
At the tender age of three I began rreading The Holy Bible to my mom. She leaped with excitement and forgot I was in her lap as she read to me. She screamed"Angie Angie, them baby read! come quick! Come quick!
Perhaps a moth later nuns came into our estate and my formal education began. I was studying the introduction to math, alegbra, history, science, piano, catholicism, geometry, and english. up until that fatal summer day in 1989.
Since then I have been researching my anatomy and research law for personal reason. So actually I am not a novice type of individual.
However, because so few are privy to my personal life. Many seem to think that I am unaware of their fain accolades toward me. I hod it not agains them, because they are
accustom to living a life of vain usage of powerful words only to observe the reaction of those who are the receiever of such folly.
With what I had to survive, please keep your shallow accolades to yourself and not waste your time attempting to induce a reaction from me. I was always told that love, friendship, and other sacred words were action words. Yet, you have untold scores of people who use such words for the sack of manipulation and whatever else is going on in their decay mentality. Just keep your shallow accolades.
