Narrow Margin
In the narrow margin between life and death,
I feel as I'm walking a tightrope - but balancing.
I'm a portrayal of metaphors,
illuminating like spring's moon,
who sunk like winter sunset,
but arose like summer sunrise -
my last breath an autumnal leaf.
What is life but a blank canvas...

Narrow Margin
Sometimes, in uncertain outcomes, as life agitates,
It can sway either way, maneuvering on the edge,
For a difference rather modest, makes the final call,
When a narrow margin determines a win or a loss.
If a win we choose to celebrate, or defeat we deride,
Prudent to bear...

Narrow Margin - POTDNarrow Margin 2-12-24 This or That Vol. 23 Poetry Contest - Edward Ibeh
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Narrow Margin
Between finite and eternity
A thin sharp wire divides,
Footsteps that often stumble,
Arms flailing,
Grasp for balance in pockets of sparse air
Staggering in storms, battered by choice,
Between the lines of saint and sinner,
...
As I Walk Hard Narrow Path, Dust In My MouthAs I Walk Hard Narrow Path, Dust In My Mouth
I walk hard narrow path, dust in my mouth
Just a poor farm-boy, born in the dear South,
With edges slippery and turns so quick
Oft so weary, too often so damn sick.
Trudging on through, into midnight's dark cast
Praying...
Only the Narrow Way Leads To Life - Matthew 7: 13,14God has shown in His holy word
there is only one sure way to life
a life that's eternal to the full
for all other ways just bring strife
Jesus has said when here on earth
to find me enter by the narrow gate
never choose any roads of twists and...
A Narrow EscapeA gentleman’s intentions of amour applied with great finesse
A lesser dame would waver and surely acquiesce
Love designs in the air as ancient as Romeo
In the Battle of the Sexes just who is friend or foe?
Carnal schemes of gallavanting the town were a-brew
Pressing his intended flame...
A Narrow Path To NonsenseTrying to pass an elephant
Through a needle is crazy and irrational
That's a narrow path to nonsense
Trying to fake it or to faint
That you score when you drop the ball
Every time is highly deceptive
That's a spooky way to show unintelligence
A sore loser is pusillanimous and vindictive
An...
~ the Narrow Roads Discerning ~~ At last! ~ At last! As
a sweet rejoinder to Him my
soul cried out aloud, at last, as I
marveled in the benignity of my
Lord. For imparting to me, the
liberal blessing of my life ...
and for giving me His
eternal...
The Driver of a Narrow MindBy Angeline Vine
The bus driver only picked her up
if other people were standing
near by
If she was alone
the driver would quickly
drive right by her
She thought she was no different
than anyone else
Although the bus driver
thought she was...
A Narrow Escape In the Coffee ShopIn the coffee shop
A mistimed twist
By the barista
Caused a hissing
Coffee jet to
Ballista towards
My sister and I
Worried it would
Hit her wrist and
Give her a blister,
But fortunately
It missed her.
The manager scolded
The ham-fisted barista,
But since no-one was scalded,
He didn’t dismiss her....
Narrow Road HomeI've read of a road less traveled,
Upon which some dare to tread,
But I know of one that can unravel
The reason this world lives in dread.
It's a road constructed by God.
Upon it you may stumble and fall.
But with help from the Shepherd's rod.
You'll have endurance for...
The Narrow ViewThe world is flat I know tis true,
For from my window I have a view.
And what more could I want to see,
Beyond the yard in front of me?
There is no need to the left to look,
No need to view a babbling brook.
Why would I ever...
Straight and Narrow -Formally TestI have
Been
Relegated
Condemned
To follow
The straight
And narrow
Path
Of Poetic
Minimalism
I shall not
Stray
From behaving
In this way
Its the straight
And narrow
All the way
From now on
For me
Straight Arrow
No more
Than a few
Words I can
Say
Its the new
Style
Of Poetry
DONT stray
I shall abide
Keep things
Straight
Narrow
Like
The Indians
Arrow
I shoot this
Poem
Over your way
Do not laugh
Nor should you
Play
From now on
Its...
FreedomThe world is so absurd
people think their wishes Trump
true freedoms
honourable freedoms
They detest
education
women's rights
minority rights
Science, vaccines, empathy
freedom of children not to be shot in schools
They distort and lie
and lie and lie
Their tin foil hats of hate
the manifesto of all extremists
who need guns to be men
Beware someone...
