I've read of a road less traveled,
Upon which some dare to tread,
But I know of one that can unravel
The reason this world lives in dread.
It's a road constructed by God.
Upon it you may stumble and fall.
But with help from the Shepherd's rod.
You'll have endurance for the long haul.
The road was built quite narrow
For not many admit it exists.
It's a path that may hold sorrow,
But will get you on God's righteous list.
It's a road, that by far is the best
For keeping you upright and secure.
With each mile you'll be put to the test.
Keep your integrity and your thoughts pure.
It's a road that our Father has placed
Where anyone can find and partake.
Many grimace and make a face,
Thinking God's promises are only fake.
If only you'll follow the road map
Found in the Bible's inspired pages,
You'll avoid Satan's tempting traps
As birds are lured into his cages.
I've overcome hurdles and bumps
While traveling this narrow road.
I've taken some bruises and lumps
But God helped me carry my load.
Don't fear to walk the road after dark
For he guides us with His light.
Take courage that you will walk
To a paradise where all things are right.
Seek the road of which I've told.
Walk with Him and take His hand.
God, in His mercy, offers it to hold,
On this road to the final Promised Land.
