'Tis said that Mercury is in retrograde.
Is it just an astrophysical charade —
An illusory cosmic joke being played?
Is the wee beggar's energy bill unpaid?

Premium Member Mercurial Cloud

The universe is a mercurial cloud.
Against its overbearing chaos,
I have only my words.
They are never solutions,
Only questions.
Always selective in their attention.
Always filters screening out
The subatomic assault.
I have only my words.
I scroll through cable channels.
I download all the apps.
How do I ponder a musical chord?
How do I arrange an ordered thought?
The social order is our agreement,
Our consensus on what exists.

Mercurial Days

Those fervent bonds of educated altruism

Attack a hard wrought seedy worldview

Payers and givers in all stripes of sedition

Plunge ahead in the dark mysterium of societal agency

Where flooded stations of trashy neglect

Barter like intestines for the choice to move about

Juxtaposed against hidden nature with stable roots

The mind's golden radar gets launched on porous descent

Imagining other in a new style of fool proof desire

While organizations frame truant relation

For the award of resident and possibly membership

But just as banal as ever, the idle poison of mercurial days

Spring: Mercurial Seed

A treatise on regenerating life
Old Man Winter's residual cultivated by Spring's mid-wife
Into fertile cavity seed with precision did knife
In earth's dark bosom; cauldron of strife
With jolting, painful movements rife
Helios incubated the embryonic pod
Unction sparked from Zeus's rod
Jupiter's vital streams embalmed ingrown clod
With growing pressure swelling kernel did prod
Fledgling shoots pushed through birth canal onto sod

A Woman In White Coat

A woman in white coat
by Bernard Chilambe

The soft touch of the woman in white is felt by people in pain
What this woman does is not plain

She never says much as she is mature
Her clothes describe her heart that is pure

Where does she disguise her image that is not poor?
I know our brain can cheat but that is being poor

She looks brilliant in white attire
As that makes her identity clear

Her smile never fades
And her heart never bends

A woman in white coat speaks like a lamb
Her sausage heart never crumble

This woman never melts in mercurial temperature that is hot
Her sympathetic tone is not hidden in a white coat

She gives relief to images of beleaguered crowd
But she is resilient as she has never been cracked

The woman in white coat restores people’s pride
She covers her clients with her soft love cloud

Mercurial Beauty

Ethereal, the earth no longer beneath my feet
Words immaterial, I will try nonetheless
Otherworldly hues imperial to our accustomed views
Nightly masterpieces our asterial neighbor creates
Unique beauty in our mercurial clouds

Premium Member Mercurial Gemini Woman

We are a mercurial Gemini women.
Yes, you read this correctly.
We are so many personalities.
It might seem nutty to a Capricorn or Aries woman.
But we are at least six, maybe seven women
in one body that used to be tiny.

My husband of fifty years flinches when we walk toward him
in the morning.
He never knows if he is getting an upper cut to his chin
or a sexy kiss.
Our hazel eyes flash with happiness as we read his scared little mind.
We love this!

My Mercurial Soul

Silver washes through the sea
Veins trace life deep into me
White transpires, falling free
From this Tree of Mercury

Thus have I seen love's bright sheen
Shining forth the last sunbeams
One white light 'midst all the sea
This crying Tree of Mercury

Orbs of sunlight drip to dirt
Where veins of life spread through the earth
Searching, blindly, for the rain
That seeps up to drip down again

These silver veins stretch through the sea
In search of sunlight as it fades
And all across the crimson waves
Is falling rain, sorrow to sea
Tears of the Tree
Of Mercury

A sunset slips so slowly to
A garnet rain with silver strewn
These crimson tears of love for you
Fall as the sunset fades.
The moon
Now rises, shines so pale upon
A night that never will know dawn

So still, alone, I'll always be
This crying Tree of Mercury

Premium Member Mercurial Silver Hearts

Mercurial silver hearts
forever entwined in meshed armor
two souls communing in a magnificent way

supporting, loving, satisfying
ethereal feelings surpassed by no others
in a land where no one can reach them

mystical companions, soul mates until the end of time
chaste mysticism entwining them in her magic
together forever, through many incarnations

This last one is thanks to a Valentines Day car crash
where they lost their flesh lives, but not their spirit lives
in a mangled chrome vehicle, their gateway to heaven.

Mercurial Spring

Spring's annual rhythms cerebrally flow
Nature's mercurial splendour to show
Balmy portents o'er icy mantle glow
Earth's axis tilts; hearth to mellow
Helios's furnace with spawning heat doth bellow
Residual beams to brush face so sallow
A glossy, emerald sheen on encrusted folds bestow
A jaundiced hue from airy cisterns doth shadow
Revitalizing streams from seeded pods to strow
Invigorating tides enrich pores once fallow
Christening fauna peeps through stents so shallow
Anon, a clover tent the sodden expanse will hallow
Silken wicks enlighten bristling, woody tallow
Shortly, festive plume recedes; amber gown doth billow
Glittering fauna shades each jaded dale, pensive hollow
Fragrant incense each fleeting step will follow
Spring's fertile currents now through each, nestled channel row

on
a
good day,
a gentle,
fine soul of a man.
however, do steer clear of him
for he's but a loaded gun with the safety on "off";
a ticking time bomb about to explode on bad days, but has...
                                                                      more virtues than vices.
