Premium Member Birds of Paradise

Birds of paradise bloom and fall like a shooting star,
Red ones are juxtaposing lips when wrens are kissing;
Brilliantly gliding from huge foliage seen from afar.

They marvelously stand and hung on where they are,
In kaleidoscope of colors,  they’re all glistening;
Birds of paradise bloom and fall like a shooting star.

Their lasting freshness is a blessing from the altar
In orange, yellow, red and purple- they’re all amazing;
Brilliantly gliding from huge foliage seen from afar.

Their dazzling beauty is the sweetest song that soothes my scar
In its various colors, red with yellow is the best hymn I’ll sing
Birds of paradise bloom and fall like a shooting star.

Ambling along an avenue of those flowers quite so far
As if leading into the vista of paradise –the most wonderful feeling
Brilliantly gliding from huge foliage seen from afar.

Bestowing its enchantment to someone may ward off war
Red gears for a blazing love , yellow for unwavering spirit of sharing
Birds of paradise bloom and fall like a shooting star
Brilliantly gliding from huge foliage seen from afar.

Premium Member Animal Court

I relate this story from my room in the Quiet Vale Giggling Academy

A reader might find my story hard to believe
BUT!
At one time in my life –
As a matter of fact quite recently –
I had just finished Dr. Doolittle’s great study
‘Talk to the Animals”
And after several months of following Doolittle’s observations
Found I could actually understand animal talk
Which was really just grunts growls and bodily motions –
Tail switches
Chop-licking
Lurches
Farts
Things such as that

Quite by accident
While walking in the woods one day
I happened on a scene
A robin told me was ‘animal court’
Resided over by Judge Grump
At once I noticed a huge lion
Seated on a stump
His heavy tail thumping the back of the stump
“When Grump thumps the stump court will come to order
And when Grump thumps the stump all better listen!” sang the robin
There were a number of spectators -
Squirrels
Possums
Raccoons
Deer
Birds
All chattering at once
So that Grump had to thump the stump many times
Growling horrendously till they stopped chattering
There was no jury
No lawyers
Just this marvelously striped tiger
Tail down
Standing in front of Grump seated on his stump
I assumed the tiger was the defendant
The lion judge began with a thump of the stump
“You are accused of eating your best friend
Is that correct?”
The tiger swished his tail
“Yes”
“A dachshund named Stretch
Is that correct?”
The tiger swished his tail
“Yes’
“Sad” the lion judge continued
“You were reported to have done everything together –
Touched noses
Sniffed out-holes
Even wrestled together
Such fine friends
What could have caused such an action on your part?”
At this point the attending group began chattering vigorously
The lion judge Grump thumped the stump
Thumped
And thumped
As thumping the stump wasn’t loud enough he growled
Finally the crowd quieted
“How could you do such a thing to your friend Stretch
I’m stumped.”
The tiger looked around
Eyes blazing
Jowls dripping
Gorgeous stripes undulating blazing in the sun
Tail swishing in manner of reply
“I was hungry” he said
“Case dismissed!” said Grump
With a thump of the stump!

Premium Member Our Perfect Autumn Drive

When fall had settled in
like a mellow multi-colored cat,
purring with contentment
in the beauty of its prime,
Fall crept past the summer of its youth
and sprawled before us.
It stretched out in splendid coolness.
Yes, fall was a cat of many colors -
an orange burnt almost red
among patches of sunshine yellow and spicy ginger.
Everywhere we looked
we saw those brilliant hues.

We had decided to drive up to the mountains
where October’s trees had begun
to flaunt their brilliant new colors.
We passed several orchards
on the outskirts of the town,
seeing apples and pumpkins sold at road stands
as our drive progressed to Canyon Road.

Suddenly we were struck with wonder
by a beauty even more than that of a multi-colored cat.
On both sides of us, the colors cat-sprawled
across the faces of mountains,
and when the wind blew, the trees moved
like the waves of a giant ocean.
The multi-colored cat had changed into a sea -
a sea of marvelously clad colorful trees
that rhythmically moved and glistened
as if they were indeed an ocean’s waves,
color-tossed beneath the midday sun.

We spoke few words, for our eyes
were filled with fall’s enchantment.
When we reached the man-made lake
where blue water glistened as vibrantly
as had the leaves of the mountain’s trees,
we turned around and headed back home,
savoring the ending of
our perfect autumn drive.

Psalm of praise

Oh Jah, we laud you
for your magnificence
as the one and only true God
and Sovereign of the universe.

Your splendor is beyond
our imagination and your glory
surpasses all conscious thought.
Even so, you take notice of us,
mere mortal man, less than the dust
on your celestial scales are we.

We are less than nothing
and yet you dignify us
by granting us to be
made in your image.

How we need to abound
in your marvelous qualities
of love, justice wisdom and power,
to be able to help those who oppose you
and deny your existence,
and your Authority.

Only because of your humility and mercy
do you continue to sustain us here
on our earthly dwelling place-
we are so undeserving yet by your grace,
your undeserved kindness
we exist and move and breathe.

Our very lives depend on your mercy,
your loving care is evident
in the beauty of the sun
as it rises and sets,
marking the limits
of our days and our nights.

We marvel Sovereign Lord,
at how marvelously we are made,
not only us but the everlasting cosmos,
how you have ordered
their existence by your command -
and by your dynamic energy
all continues to function precisely
and harmoniously as you have designed.

You the great Timekeeper,
have all things under your control,
and for all things there is an appointed time,
all according to your will and purpose.

How we rejoice at the prospect of life everlasting
in a paradise earth, when all things
will have been restored back to perfection.

Hallelujah, praise Jah,
all you heavens and earth,
and and all who enjoy Godly
peace in his everlasting glory!

FOREST SHOWER

From the steaming highway
Stopped for a light
                                            looking through
A giant peering in
                       woodland so thick
                                    and deep in thought
No thunder nor lightning
                                            the mood is mild
Promenade
                 but a moment’s estimate
Thirsty forest trees with half-wet stature
hug in the dark forest glade
So quietly drenched the scene the freshness
    a million tiny eyes within
                                              without
The chatter whether angry or happy shelter
Drops from high above mingle symphonic
                                                                   in the mist
Pristine
as it might have looked those past thousands
Serenely innocent
Perhaps a meadow
                           with sharp hooves plashing puddles
Happening on roses wild
                                          a few
A stream trickled down from distant height
                          so marvelously clean unobtrusive
Oh to go down on both knees
                                               drink from white hands
Wild flowers unknown uncultivated
                                  a treasure of weeds

All is wed in perfect loneliness
An ancient hunter’s blood recalled
To run
To cool the feet
To bathe body and spirit
Just to walk through such weeping nature?
Oh no!
Sacrilege!
Invasion!
No!
Leave I must while the freshness the aroma lasts
A final glance
A shiver
Eyes fixed for a second
Stealing memory most dear
Seeping storing in soul’s special place

How I remember that song
Playing daily on the radio
Just a couple of notes
I’d instantly get shivers
And nothing else
Mattered around me
Seems I was barely twelve
I heard that saxophone
And masterful sexy voice
My knees would buckle
Realizing full well
I was hooked on a song
Praising the virtues
Of unfaithfulness and
Mystique of a love affair

I was swayed so
By that sax and sexy voice in spite of the
Unscrupulously questionable lyrics
Because really
There was nothing overly exciting
About a clandestine morning meeting
At some backwoods café

Yet that song still
Has its claws into me
And to this day
My heart skips a beat
As I buckle in spite of myself
At the charm of just a few notes
Realizing how powerless I am
Under the influence of that
Sly snake charmer
And it never gets old
There’s something
Quite magical about
How time stands perfectly still
For that one marvelously
Seductive ageless moment

Premium Member Devotion Poem Paradise

Devotion Poem, Paradise.
  (For Jim)

Dare I say —
We feel marvelously sculpted to fit,
Our hugs mold their moments
Into wishing to last forever.

Dare I say — my silent hopes
Rise into the liquid
Moonlit blue above our kisses,
Wanting to make millions of dozens.

Dare I tell the truth of how
My heart speaks out to you
 Whenever we separate? That somehow
Physics moves you into two: to the elsewhere
You travel, yet still always here by me.

Dare I utter the new quantum rules of love?
How starlit galaxies hide in your eyes
To all except for me. How our waltz moves on
Through the juggled dimensions we cling to.

May I sing for others what our hearts
Keep in whispers? How to sense paradise
In the gift of your devoted spirit
Always awaiting close, holding the secret
Blessings of divine starlight in your pockets.

Dare I share the jewels of this love,
That they may be found and more easily kept? Or,
Might the vast variations of paradise await
Their own finding and defining, like rainbows
    With their hidden treasures.

Jesus, Lover of My Soul

Wonderful JESUS
the passionate LOVER of my soul
marvelously pursued this child so lost
and of my life would not let go.

For HE sought and longed after this one
for sweet fellowship to share
just like HE longs for you my brother and sister
and waiting to show you of HIS care.

And truly, I’ve never experienced such love like this
a love that I could not earn
its depth cannot be measured
and an encounter with it will cause your heart after HIM to yearn.

When you feel warmth of HIS love
and tears begin to roll down your face
your heart HE fills with thankfulness
for HIS mercy, goodness and HIS grace.

Wonderful JESUS when I first came to know YOU
I truly did not perceive
that YOU were most beautiful beyond description
oh, LORD, I am so glad that YOU chose me to receive.

Cold Hearts Beating

Goddess breasts
And King rage
Stood atop high mountain
Within fog-haze heaven fountain
Proclaimed animosity
Seduction she destruction he
Planned in intricate intimate detail
Spanned thoughts depths good to evil
Delve deeper death
Devolve life or rotting unto another
Devoid they’ll stumble crumble
Rubble stubble see the wonderful
Beautiful ending chaos of love

Passionate embracing commences
****** finalizing hatred
Defenses halt all faltering attraction
Poison words become self-preserving reaction
Pitiful pitiless human race
Crass species welcoming defeat
Relieve relent life strife
This wife is now beaten bloody
Barren dragon satan devil spawn
Celestial snow painted blood-red
We are dead

Time reduces marvelously
Flesh erodes bloated bones
Appear traveler near observes
Immortals on high crying softly
Falling Olympus’ shroud tainted dyed
Maroon amber streams
Skeleton’s romance remains
Defames other’s vows
Promised hours till reaper doth part
Wedding bands golden
These eyes have beholden
Affection surpassing eternal sleep
Redemption veiled with mystery.

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Being My Beginning

January 1 Scripture Meditations Based on Genesis 1-3

Key Verse - Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR BEING MY BEGINNING

You created me wonderfully
You formed me marvelously
You shaped me amazingly
You filled me against my void, sufficing me abundantly…
I surely thank You wholeheartedly.

You are my light
You are my watcher at night
You are my day starter right
You are my firmament-guard so bright…
I really thank You with faith’s might.

You greet me every morning
You protect me in between lunch and evening
You secure me in my sleep’s dreaming and groaning
You keep me in Your goodness of feasting and dining…
I joyously thank You for Your constant intervening.

You made me in Your image and after Your likeness
You let me have dominion over Your creatures by Your greatness
You blessed me toward multiplying fruitfulness
You subdue my pride through Your replenishing gentleness…
I truly thank You for Your graciousness.

You give me product-yielding capacity
You bestow me with work-diligence ability
You sanctify me to labour in Your field of spirituality
You comfort me in Your rest as I cleave to Your presence-serenity…
I earnestly thank You along Your gifts’ bounty.

You defend me from the subtle serpent’s deception
You encompass me with Your assurance-sanction
You pull me against curses’ destruction
You drive me toward Your protection from enmity’s sorrow-infliction affliction…
I verily thank You, praising You for my soul’s eternal salvation.

You rule over me with Your commandment
You prop me from sin-caused miseries by Your encouragement
You love me, calling me with Your life-commitment
You place me in Your heart of genuine contentment…
I triumphantly thank You and Your sovereign control every moment.

I have never had to give up my home,my town, my family in any war.
That was done for me, by willing, brave heroes, who have gone afar!

Courageous women and men, who loved mankind.
They left pets, beloved family and homes behind!.

They knew that America had to protect a flag of red, white and blue.
No matter what country, you are now in, they died for you and your
country, too!

Herr Hitler might have become the ruler of all free countries as well.
Heroes were buried in your country, so peaceful now, in green fields
with Sunday bells.

Heroes such as these are why religion and speech are so marvelously free.
Don’t let a single person nor power group, rob thee of these.

Enemies start worldwide, with controls, they rule..don’t need guns!
Allowing lies, murder and a brave, crooked world to have its evil ryn.

So don’t let military service and young deaths disappear in vain.
They lie in simple, quiet graves, in moonlit cemeteries, in the crying rain..

Illumination of the Heavens

How did that ever happen to me?
I was far from deserving it.
We two human stars were precisely
placed in the exact coordinates,
Most likely, by God's divination.

I saw you, one glance was enough for me,
I, so unknowingly, would become part
of a breathtaking, family tree.
With roots that spiral to the earth's core.
Our hearts' forever blessed, the more.

Oh, and how very yes, our hearts
with gratitude reach,
Higher and higher to marvelously see
and touch., the breathless
Illuminations of the Heavens!

Premium Member Dancing Till Dawn

Ah, I remember those smashing
days when I was dancing till dawn!
Refusing to be a workforce pawn.

It left no lines, but painted a smile on my face!
I enjoyed the joy, the people-peppered life.
Marvelously, frenzied, frenetic pace.

Being wild,did agree with me.
Life, for me, was so far, far more wondrous,
Than a posh, expensive, one- time cruise at sea.

Confetti-like, touching , steamy romances.
Meeting eccentric people from all nations
Learning, international, amazing dances.

Most people's lives follow a boring straight line.
Mine was and still is an escalating spiral path
Of colored, metallic, ribbons rising to the sky.

Nothing about it was ever dull norever orthodox.
I cherished each hour never did I once.
Run my life by societal rules or the face of a clock!

Full of international sounds andjoyous souls.
What a great life God has given gave me!
Now these joyous times with pen,I can transpose!

A free soul,I am till the day that Iexpire.
But perhaps~God might send me a spare tire?

A few more Bossa Nova years to
be with you.
In harmony and rhythm, just more
Samba and going to Rio!

Where, oh where, is God?
When will the man-child stop asking why,
stop searching for the other, the greater, the bigger
the more glorious presence?

This constant need to see other than oneself as the source.
Even with a brain (and we know Frank Baum has told us
only STRAW men don’t have brains) we refuse to see,
refuse like a baby forced to eat mashed peas.
We make our children are we their God’s? Hell no!

We name this Creator (for man is nothing-if not a naming animal).
(The father says Da; the baby says DA! Da says cat, baby says CAT!)
Life cannot exist for man without a naming, a judgment, a categorizing.
We cannot GROK it (as Heinlein's Christ character, Valentine Michael Smith
illustrates for us in Stranger in a Strange Land).
For something, someone, has to have made us, yes? no?
Oh yes, they had to consciously decide to make
something as marvelously special as us, didn’t they/it?
* Please refer back to verse 2 line 5.

Where, oh where, is God? When will the man-child stop,
stop searching for the teat, stop the blame game,
accept the responsibility for fouling His own nest?
Why does God have to look like us?
Does everything we create look like us (the light bulb, the car)?
Does that mean there is NO primogeniture if He/she/it doesn’t look like us?
Wait, wait, all of Creation manifests differently, eco systems need
diversity to maintain homeostasis!
Yet we bawl like babies. WHY are You killing me!
Why must I die? What mutant child have you given me
this spawn of Satan!

This primogeniture, this God, this be all, end all, know all, BEING,
this omnipotent source either is outside of us? or inside of us?
Or are we inside of it? And, if it knows us not—
If like the amoeba, it simply divides to exist, absorbs to exist,
excretes to exist. Why do we insist on worshiping it?
Does It Know us? Does it know all of its creations?
Is it an active participant in its own creations?
Refer to the book of life, the planet earth,
the solar system, the structure of an atom.
Use the brain you were given by God

for YOU are not a Straw Man.
