Honoring Veterans POTD

11/10/2023 I have never had to give up my home,my town, my family in any war. That was done for me, by willing, brave heroes, who have gone afar! Courageous women and men, who loved mankind. They left pets, beloved family and homes behind!. They knew that America had to protect a flag of red, white and blue. No matter what country, you are now in, they died for you and your country, too! Herr Hitler might have become the ruler of all free countries as well. Heroes were buried in your country, so peaceful now, in green fields with Sunday bells. Heroes such as these are why religion and speech are so marvelously free. Don’t let a single person nor power group, rob thee of these. Enemies start worldwide, with controls, they rule..don’t need guns! Allowing lies, murder and a brave, crooked world to have its evil ryn. So don’t let military service and young deaths disappear in vain. They lie in simple, quiet graves, in moonlit cemeteries, in the crying rain..

Dear Pangie, you're right, courageous women and men have served for all of us. This is such a beautiful dedication to all of them. So many are serving now. So thankful, indeed. Dearest Brandy! It is always a blessing to see you after so many years, here! You are ta poetess of the highest integrity, you know I admire you so much. A helicopter crashed today, it hurt my heart…all those stalwart men gone? I The remains of Americans spreads worldwide. Allies, we must support, be loyal to and not love the enemy in our midst who want us dead, our enemies are formidable. I do write from my heart and this was a gift to be chosen for the POTD. I was thinking of you today. The people were not heros on London Bridge today nor were they all over the USA either. We all deserve the right to not be harmed because of our beliefs. The Middle Ages is over.. and we all lost brave people-in wars..But Hitler had to be stopped. Armies are there to protect us. This was the perfect day to honor those ever so deserving. Dear Pangie, what a truly wonderful tribute you have penned for your POTD. Many congratulations! Very worthy recognition. So well written and heartfelt. It’s a very reflective poem and one of gratitude of which we all owe to all the brave veterans that gave so much and many sadly with the ultimate price for our freedom. Those last two lines dear one really grabs you - absolutely beautiful and poignant. ‘ In moonlit cemeteries, in the crying rain’. Wow!

To live long anf free, now it’s up to us to be sure we elect people coming up who will not allow us or any of our Allies to be slaughtered. We have powerful enemies wanting to do us in. Some, hate our religions and want us wiped off the planet. May God care for us. Pangiexx

We salute them with all pride. A hero Marine Veteran highly decorated, (5) tours of duty in the middle east, talked yesterday on NPR when in battle he thought about the commandment thou shall not kill, and always felt uncomfortable when he realized now it was his duty & mission, now he felt the contradiction involved. PTSD indused.

My husband spent 20 years retired Navy Vietnam , my son Alan the oldest 3 years in the Air Force and my middle son 5 years Navy At the same time Kuwait war, I was a very nervous mother at that time

Good Day, Malabika! You humble me with your extraordinary comments. No tribute should go to me, but to those who served, some came back. Many bodies were never found, many died at sea. When enemies invade a country, when a country is told to not fight back..then every, man woman and child are at risk of death, to ask an invaded country with thousands dead is insane.
