A blessed
Winter Day
Dressed for the
Holidays. A pure blanched
Vision awaits me so I reflect out loud.

Satin white angel hair snow, sleeps light on our street,
enriches the raw pines in a virginal base coat of flurries.
Families dressed for the holidays, lovely, quite the treat.
There are voices singing, travel soft on a passing breeze.

My senses are ablaze on this blessed winter day.
Children's faces bright red from play rekindle memories.
Remembering crafting sculptures, the element, like clay.
Snow fights, where we'd take refuge behind shrubberies

Lights energized, dance with the dark as their partner.
Colors, tints the nights complexion in a luminesce glow.
Smoke from pillow covered roofs make my heart flutter.
My days of improvised ice rinks, skating with the flow.

A holiday surrounded night ignites passions deep.
Making snow angels, pulled on a toboggan down my avenue,
Picking a frosted pine then wrapped and thrown into our Jeep.
Heading home with that years tree to dress and decorate anew.

But it is now and time to play in this our new frosting of snow.
With my two baby girls we use it to bake as if it were dough.
Life is different now, as an adult with my children, I go slow.
Savor every moment, their youth a gift, repeats like an echo.

Valentine's Night

Picked out the perfect arrangement

two dozen long stemmed roses

with deep ruby red petals

accented with forget-me-nots

each petal representing a kiss

I'll tread over those

 luscious and inviting lips

and the forget-me-nots showing

my never ending love for you.

Reservations made.

We'll rendezvous at Les Ombres

In the shadow of the Eiffel Tower

I'll gaze lovingly at your

dazzling smile

fall deep under the spell of your

sparkling eyes

Top the night off with a toast

of champagne

Then whisk you off to a Cinderella's carriage ride

arm in arm, cheek to cheek

kissing you under the luminesce rays of the moon

we`ll take a journey into the sky

upon cupid`s wings

From his arrow we'll spread love

and share the joy it brings

We'll steal the midnight stars

making their fire ours

and when the magic fades

each other we embrace

We'll run to a chateau

by Paris East lake

You undress my innocence

as your breath I take

Breathless you leave me

at the sight of your skin

So supple your chest

inviting me in

Soft slow sweet kisses

tread upon your neck

hands on your hips

there's no turning back

Premium Member Through the Keyhole

Deceit of sun when rays are still but porous;
unwelcome thief, afford my dream more seconds.
Some dappled shadows flit through mystic keyhole;
alight upon pellucid remnant image.
I stifle yawn as thoughts embrace the vision.

My ever-restless spirit merits story
which doesn’t evanesce at first obstacle
encountered when issues foisted upon me.
Embarked on travels, trinkets of high finesse
that crossed the boundaries of reality.

The past firmly imbedded in the future,
illuminating a path predictable and
imbued with fantasy and peccant grandeur.
Adroitly I manoeuvred through initial
self-doubt that plagued a multitude of people.

Circumlocutory whim of eidolon
expertly gathered evidence to support
demand that’s straddling realms, but I will resist.
I read the missive through and then carefully
enfold my dreams in cocoon, preserving them.

Unpleasant facts I spat out like an obol
that’s placed under tongue of recently deceased.
The critics can wait with Charon for day of
reckoning – future set aside for visions.
My dreams swim at the edge of river’s conscience.

Expectations made dreams luminesce brightly,
but withered in morning sun’s naïve splendour.
Like sands in the hourglass, the grains of wisdom
filtered through consciousness and needled thinking.
I set aside the search for epiphany.

Premium Member Autumn's Entrance

Autumn's soundless entrance, causes distress
This changing hue shares a sense of lament
As color in death seems to luminesce
Whispering leaves of Summer turn silent
How peaceful the world when they start to fall
And move to ground in a windswept tumble
To be worn by Earth as a covering shawl
Turning brittle, they begin to crumble
How silent the leaves as they disappear
Turned to mulch by Autumn's chilly hand
Dissolved by time before Winter comes near
The whispering leaves are buried in land

Talking Summer leaves, turn quiet and brown
When Autumn brings death, without any sound

Premium Member Winter Snow

The soft Winter snow covers the cold ground,
And grants the eyes a quiet wishful dream.
A footprint's crunch is the only sound.
All are enveloped with a fantasy scene.
Its frozen water forms Nature's dress.
An elegant design to softly float.
To reflect a soft light, to luminesce,
And cover the ground with its whitest coat.
Yes, Winter has come with its wind chilled air,
To cover the death of Autumn's leaves.
To bring reverence to life unaware,
Comfort Nature as she silently grieves.

The cathedral Winter asks life to cling.
To find its beauty pure, awaiting Spring

Colors of Your Face

At night I oft forget the sun
and colors of the world,
when their demise befall at dusk
and darkest grays unfurl.
Oh, cruelest night, you strangle light,
day’s vibrancy succumbs
to you, like death you steal my breath;
in shadowed daze of midnight,
I dream for dawn to come.
I’ll never fade in faithless gloom;
I’ll strain to see the stars.
But dimmed above bleak city nights,
their luminesce seems far.
So till the blazing coral-pinks
of morn stream through my drapes,
I’ll close my eyes envisioning
the colors of your face.

Sidekick

This is my companion
 to the left of me.
 Everlong by my side
 in lifes travail
 and heart to heart
 in worlds apart.
 This is my guardian
and my servant dearest
whatever his size.
 This is my watcher
 by the windowpane
 foretelling the visitors
and mocking the postman
in his luminesce apparel.
This is my nights last seen face
and my mornings first pace.
This is my companion,
my dog.

The Weaver of Dreams

the scope in a turning view
ties the hands high over hues
embodies a mask of black
a sticky webbed deceit
stretched over eyes

plays mean for a wicked need
an intricate motion is the catch
shrewd dominates the luminesce
flickers of surrender are devoured
creates a tangled flux

tears of a flower lost in color
cluster in pale beams
sight slivers in reflection
the shine climbing a slide
slips through the mind

hums a childhood rhyme
steps over time so far
singing a wish upon a star
a joyous scatter for chairs
circle to stop is the anxious feed

tricked in a play for keeps
recruits a ball for a chain
conspires a passion to redeem
aims high and jumps beyond
slows to a falling speed

the heart of an arrow
beeline threw a target
buries deep a sharp point
passes screams in between
patches of a quilt lacking seam
ever sleeps the weaver of dreams

Jellyfish

Like pulsing poufs of gossamer,
They float beneath the sea,
With tentacles a'trailing -
Could such creatures really be?

From minuscule to eight feet long,
They glide and luminesce.
How long they live and how they die
Is anybody's guess.

They have no brains or hearts, and yet
They're graceful, smooth and cool;
But with their stinging tentacles,
Their prey would call them cruel.

Today at the aquarium
I watched them blob and drift,
A mesmerizing spectacle,
Which felt just like a gift.

I'll never get below the waves
To see them out of tanks,
So Monterey's Aquarium
Deserves my deepest thanks.

Sarah Fair

Her every Golden strand of hair
reflects the sun upon the earth
surrounding us with greatest worth
is her beauty ever so rare
that it cannot truly be near
knowing I could not comprehend
this gift that only god could send
coming as if my heart to mend
together we'll so lovely blend
smile alone I hope she'll wear
in hopes to see her lying bare
and fill me with such earthly mirth
as we lay now so near the hearth
embraced in a luminesce stare

One's Shadowless Moment

That which we embrace
That which we shun
That which we serve

Assimilation

Man's strange bedfellow
Remaining often long in the wings
Allowing shadow-light to become constant
Inviting ghost-like impressions
Enjoin one's timeless opacity of reason

Edification reveals
Experience rejecting idleness
Determined to share
Clover-rich bounty
Free of any fear
Sagacity being void of threat
As predators ignorant
Discover wisdom unconquerable

Sageness
Prepares its ungloved hands
To wave its alert
Ready to allow
Hidden time to luminesce

Discernment
Cautious to act
Knowing empirical reality
Must first pass through
Emotion's unreliability
Patiently pauses

White hot focus holds sway
Peripheral resistance wanes
Fractions
Equations
Formulae satiated
Acceptance invites convergence

Consciousness
Once in asylum
No longer struggling to be
Stands naked at last
Heart and mind fused
Light embodying darkness
Like the ever-forming oneness
Of sunrise comprising sunset
Birth ripening awaited death

Demon Drivers

The radio controlled emotion of a steel framed explosion happens not once nor twice or three times. Several sharp impacts equals a scrambled surface. Where no glorification of swamp residue exists for it glows and glows and expands in luminesce essence and radiance akin to an ornate fish pond in a Japanese garden in a nightly display of colour. But no koi. And no little lovely bridge neither. Just a frosted glass vision then of a prettily tamed landscape. A finely tuned circumference spilling fragrance and delicate petunias prance. Petals versus petroleum in a bubbling froth surround. But no glaze on a traversing pollution playing field of great expanses of waters. Fish then none. No fish. They are all now pink. They are not going to be able to join in the festivities of the eta number of partying prawns whose efforts on beaches at sunbathing leave little structure to imagination and whose ignorance is cased and boxed in a tight spiralling shell. Oh well and move on to the cliff of decks. For decks are not daring darts nor decision drifting deficits. A queen in a tight fitting pumpkin suit is laughing acrimoniously at the ceremony of cement. And in the cave lies a raucous beast with a very big belly who is ticklish and giggles when the rocks touch his knees. News neither nurtures nor necessarily needs names. And a ship us arriving at eighteen minutes past eleven behind the seventh cloud in the kitchen. Or in the bathroom. It is never wise to stand more than two feet away from a mechanical mainstream managed man. And it is often wise to wave tiny scraps of paper at this point for at this point there is a ten foot drama from a little lemon in a skirt, a lorry lounging, a plunge pool falling asleep and a wheelbarrow filled with pigs, monkeys, pineapples, and zebras. Wow. Wonderful isnt it? Happen upon a cartwheeling biscuit today? No I thought not for only cattle cartwheel at the time of the tidal prance. Haha boxed up boxing buffoon building. Fractal Reactors

Fractal Reactors

A golden cloud carrying a
Glittered ambiance of light
Engulfed in a luminesce oil
Immersed in a phosphorus flight

Particles moving inside the oil
Fall as seedlings into the soil
Sparkling like a million star tips
On fractal reactors of energy the soil sips

The power in the oil reaches past all logic
Seeping through the facades of life’s magic
Empowering new growth to the deepest roots
Healing foundational truths inside our earthen boots

Becoming the purist politest for freedom to ring
Burning oil lamps of his reflection our voices sing
Saturating the earth in oiled light from above
One of promise carried over land 'by a single dove

The miracle
Oil in the
Olive Branch
