Autumn's Entrance
Autumn's soundless entrance, causes distress
This changing hue shares a sense of lament
As color in death seems to luminesce
Whispering leaves of Summer turn silent
How peaceful the world when they start to fall
And move to ground in a windswept tumble
To be worn by Earth as a covering shawl
Turning brittle, they begin to crumble
How silent the leaves as they disappear
Turned to mulch by Autumn's chilly hand
Dissolved by time before Winter comes near
The whispering leaves are buried in land
Talking Summer leaves, turn quiet and brown
When Autumn brings death, without any sound
