Best Lu Poems
I never move,
Just patiently sit,
I wait for no-one at all.
I'm a home to many,
Stranger to none.
The lungs of the Earth I've been called.
Both dog and cat will frequent me,
I'm shelter from the rain.
The air you breathe has gone through me
And through the cycle again.
Against attack I have no defences,
Still careless man is so relentless.
I stand between both you and the Sun
Enduring the elements one by one.
I'm a living monument, a necessity.
Just look up
I am
A tree.

Spring tea,I'm invited
you are too ,'cause she's decided
underneath the willow tree
served a little after three
baby bear and kitty cat
sit right where they've always sat
but now she's put us on the right
beside the zebra black and white
they're already stuffed you see
from eating cookies at spring tea
she has pots and pans to clean
from all her baking in between
doling out the china berries
"Don't eat them ,they aren't
really cherries".
She makes cookies out of sand
a little water and they're grand
she will scold you if you're late
she meets you at the garden gate
escorts you to your special place
she has icing on her face
from the cupcakes Mommy brings
to mix them in with all those things
the leaves and acorns on our tray
Spring Tea gets better every day
When you're almost,nearly four
you learn to serve, you learn to pour
just think how boring life would be
If not invited to SpringTea.

Linda lu ruined her favourite wig
When she tripped on a little twig
It made her sad
And very mad
Why? Because she waved at a pig

Well if ya seen the budgery fella, (budgery=good)
wid the bottle er rum,
sitting back sucking on it some ,
you'd be having a good time,
Baby Lu, wants love for you ,
an happiness sometime,
you certainly have the poet in ya hide,
Lucinda light of poetry,
but what would i bloody know,

She’s alive with words
That come from the heart
Loving, tender creations
That show her best thoughts
~
She’s filled with gentleness
That embraces my senses
Filling me with joy in knowing
A poetess who is so special
~
She’s covered in joyful hope
That colors her in vivid hues
Of faith, peace and wonderful
Love that is part of her essence
~
She’s kind beyond the word
Which means I’ve never been so
Assured of one who I’ve only known
A short time, yet find truth in her
~
She’s built on sharing and caring
Bonds of friendship always aware
That we all need to hear those sweet
Words of consideration and acceptance
~
She’s a vivid array of beautiful flowers
Shining in the morning sunshine
Whispering in a breeze of contentment
Flowing with a sense of fulfillment
~
She’s a word that makes life better
One that touches the depths of the soul
With a rich and abundant happiness
That comes from knowing true love
~
She’s a friend who brought me a gift
Of sincere approval and toleration
All that I could hope to enjoy from
Her beautiful and contagious compassion
~
She is Lu-Loo – with the alias, Laura
A friend that I’m so overjoyed to know
And one that I hope continues to grow
To be one of the best friends I’ve greeted

Do not leave the park yet,
Whatever the compulsion,
Many friends owe a debt,
To your poetic excellence!
battles have never been won
by leaving the battle field,
But enemy has been undone
When the hurt do not yield!
So carry the pen as a gun,
To maim those who fired,
This battle has just begun,
Know you are much admired!!

I bought her some butterfly wings
all sparkly pink and ready to fly
but she hunkered down with her favorite book
with a hurricane twinkle in her pale blue eyes
I combed her golden hair to a shine
and pulled it all back in a bow
A few moments later she emerged from her room,
a head full of hair clips, to put on a show
I asked her to tell me a story
about all the animals she wants to meet
She started to sing and to dance and to swing
and she pulled me right out of my comfortable seat.
I smoothed back her hair before bed
and prayed that her good dreams would start
After "amen" she sleepy-eyed said:
"Mommy, I love you with all of my heart."

Listen to my "December lullaby"
"Oh, whispering willow"
With love for sister, "salt poured from my eyes"
For "I miss my yellow"
"She waves her wings", sighs "when the sad wind blows"
Her "medallion moments"
"My ethereal seraph" hardly knows
Her unique endowments
"Even without ink", "indigo silence"
Marked her "haven of hope"
"The beautiful dolphin" had no guidance
"Black dove", she could not cope
"Crimson fire" lost in "embers and snowflakes"
"Half of my heart" is gone
"Ebony reflections" are her heartaches
In an "opaque grey" dawn
"With bated breath", she bid "Summer goodbyes"
"White lilies for you", sis
"I'll keep your heart warm" every new sunrise
My dear you, how I miss!
"Blue was the colour of her dress" the day
"The tender lost doe" died
"My porch, an empty canvas" to portray
"The sadness of a child"
"Some other day, some other time", we'll meet
In "vast lavender fields"
On paths "better than gold" we'll share a treat
From death's dark past, He shields
"Those woods along the shore" have their bottom
"Deep in the horizon"
"An aria of alluring autumn"
"Scented leaves", the siren
"Stuck in a snow globe with you", I'm happy
"Can I be the one", dear?
"Shining in poetry's light", you're snappy
But you're safe, have no fear
"Our dalliance has ended" now, so soon
I feel like those crazies
"For You are my great escape" 'neath the moon
"Butterflies and daisies"
I look for "footprints that will never show"
Memories make me cry
I place a "withering white rose" in snow
In my heart, you won't die.

Frustration,consternation,even desperation
Nothing ever as good as it could be. You see,
Lu longs for that ...for both you and for me.
He is prideful and persistent, won't let us be.
We want honey but he gives us the bee.
Every time we try to do something good,
he lets us know we are livin' in his 'hood. So there's
no sense in us even trying to do something right.
He'll argue and actually convince us there is
no such thing.Nothin' really dark, it's all light.
To him, a circle is square and up is down.
If you let him, he'll dizzy you, spin you round
and round.Yes, he is a wicked ol' man that
seems to thrive in a bog, or better yet, quick sand
yet always seems to have the upper hand.
He invades our thoughts during the day
and carresses our dreams at night.
Always toying,always tempting,but
nevertheless, omnipresent.....
sometimes we wish he would just
go fly a kite.
He is so cunning and obnoxiously coy.
So don't get too close or boy oh boy,
he'll attach himself just like a leech.
And he's certainly no day at the beach.
Keep your distance at all cost, it's
your mind he's looking to control.
But you give him that, and he'll take
your soul..... his ultimate goal.
Yes I'm sure you guessed by now that
Lu is short for Lucifer, the most haughty
of all created beings, otherwise know as Satan.
He has a divisive plan for each and every man.
To separate us from God for all eternity.
But God is more than aware of his scheme,
and from the beginning of time, had His own theme.
That is why He sent His Son to die on a cruel tree
bridging the chasm created in Lucifer's story.
For the innocent and pure blood that was shed,
was instead sufficient to reconcile us to our Creator Friend.

rain comes down we're not so glad
spoils the picnic plans we had
but we see the beauty there
arching upward through the air
Ava says lets take a walk
through the raindrops,have a talk
of the beauty rainbows bring
so i find i love the rain.

was once a dance hall girl named big Lu
she made men feel happy too
had an ache? she knew what to do
she worked in a saloon called little blue
most wives were jealous of Big Lu
she gave no lessons of what to do
and they did not have a clue
they shunned her on the street, our Lu
niece of old Teddy V. Waterloo
She retained her confidence, our hero, Lu
married up with a rich guy named Tiny Stew
could now be respectable in town of Slew
stuck-ups wanted to be her friends now too
but now they were shunned by our hero, Big Lu
who remembered how snotty they would do
they were just too damned mean to Big Lu

Ballad
I embrace you…you hold me tight
Descending onto my grateful knees-
your genuine adoration still sustains
Bound by love and affection"
I sense your essence in the breeze
Saturated in loneliness were you
""A million fairytales tremble at us,
Sweetheart, you are my perpetual connection,
My alleviation found in perfection
As the tempest rages in warm rains
Fleeting into the ebon night; for our love loses not insight
Never cursed or full of deep blight;
Sounds of swift ivory doves cry out,
They know how our love does outshine with flickering light
I knew the pain of loss and despair you carried with ease;
Yet you stay with me, longing for my hopelessness to cease,
Black ravens plague this existence,
Descending onto my grateful knees
Emerging from the dust I was found
Weeping in the forsaken land of my desolated heart’s remains;
The wind blows, and gusts prevail
Your genuine adoration still sustains
Intense obscurity of the calamity I faced before you attains-
For I am but a woman (*or man*) craving to be near you for all of eternity
and...
Bound by love and affection
And I shall feel this pure affection or you, my beloved…eternally
My alleviation found in perfection "

Windy day breezing past pirate queen’s lair.
Lifts dainty curls off her neck on a dare
Sunlight sprinkles reflected in her eyes
She dares the day to bring her a surprise
Brought in full grown mode to the Sanscript Sea
Her beauty surpassed by her bravery
Cowards and kings hide within their ships deep,
Reputation dulls bounty she does reap.
No man can match the courage of this lass.
Best hold your breath until your ship goes past.
The pirate queen, Lu lives a pretty life.
Her pirate army wins with little strife.
Until she meets Baron Barr, big and bold.
Their story is one that never gets old.
