Nature's Gift

I never move, Just patiently sit, I wait for no-one at all. I'm a home to many, Stranger to none. The lungs of the Earth I've been called. Both dog and cat will frequent me, I'm shelter from the rain. The air you breathe has gone through me And through the cycle again. Against attack I have no defences, Still careless man is so relentless. I stand between both you and the Sun Enduring the elements one by one. I'm a living monument, a necessity. Just look up I am A tree.
