In My Heart - In Honour of Lu Loo

Listen to my "December lullaby" "Oh, whispering willow" With love for sister, "salt poured from my eyes" For "I miss my yellow" "She waves her wings", sighs "when the sad wind blows" Her "medallion moments" "My ethereal seraph" hardly knows Her unique endowments "Even without ink", "indigo silence" Marked her "haven of hope" "The beautiful dolphin" had no guidance "Black dove", she could not cope "Crimson fire" lost in "embers and snowflakes" "Half of my heart" is gone "Ebony reflections" are her heartaches In an "opaque grey" dawn "With bated breath", she bid "Summer goodbyes" "White lilies for you", sis "I'll keep your heart warm" every new sunrise My dear you, how I miss! "Blue was the colour of her dress" the day "The tender lost doe" died "My porch, an empty canvas" to portray "The sadness of a child" "Some other day, some other time", we'll meet In "vast lavender fields" On paths "better than gold" we'll share a treat From death's dark past, He shields "Those woods along the shore" have their bottom "Deep in the horizon" "An aria of alluring autumn" "Scented leaves", the siren "Stuck in a snow globe with you", I'm happy "Can I be the one", dear? "Shining in poetry's light", you're snappy But you're safe, have no fear "Our dalliance has ended" now, so soon I feel like those crazies "For You are my great escape" 'neath the moon "Butterflies and daisies" I look for "footprints that will never show" Memories make me cry I place a "withering white rose" in snow In my heart, you won't die. 05.20.2021 In honour of Laura Loo {I have used her poem titles (in quotes) and written in first person to try to show her immense love for her late sister.}

Jo... since I've left you are one of the ones I miss most. I am in tears right now. Partly because it's about Karen, but mostly because I'm so touched by this poem. You took my intimate poem titles and turned them into beauty. I appreciate you so much. Thinking of you and everyone here all the time. My dad passed away in March so I've been struggling lately. I just can't find the words anymore for what I feel over the last year. It's sad but maybe one day I'll be back and start to write. <3 LU
