In Love

In love is when
The snows of winter vaporise,
And buds appear,
When veils ascend from jaded eyes
And they clear,
When the heart deliciously surges,
And defibrilates,
And the rush of tender urges
Intoxicates.

In love is when
The breath of autumn whispers low,
And fires burn,
When in promises of fresher snow
Leaves fall and turn,
When the saddest pang of losing
Begs exquisite pain
When the things beyond one’s choosing
See it go again.

NOTE: I'm still alive. Been busy with my ongoing music project, which saw me turn to
songwriting and amateur - very amateur - music video production, which can be checked out
on the link below if anyone has a mind to. This new piece marks a tentative return to poetry.
More to follow, perhaps.

The Piano Keys

my hands on the piano keys
reading my only music piece
emotions spelt in the melody
soothing me from shedded tears
one has to come and go
have to play the broken chord

yesterday was filled with fantancy
today wat a reality
i wish it wud never end
questions live me paralysed
creating some kind of symphony
answers are a mystery

a heartache i hope to bear
i wish i cud live in the sky
the sharps,the flats,the chords
the trills,the crescendos
leading to a cantata
then back to a beautiful sonata
i feel like beethoven
without them music cannot exist
without the ups and downs
the value of life doesnt exist.

A Sultry Sensual Summer Or a Teenage Girl Unfulfilled

How I look back with regret
At that summer long ago
A sultry sensual summer
A time of sexual awakening
When I was on the threshold,
The blossoming of womanhood
And how I curse the time
I wasted on you
All those hours in your room
Listening to your music,
Your creative juices at work
Your incessant toe tapping
And finger clicking
To your tuneless efforts
Played on the out of tune guitar
That accompanied your juvenile
Angst ridden ramblings
“The music of your soul”
Was what you called it
God you were pretentious
Even for a teenager it was extreme
You were self obsessed,
Self regarding, self centred
Self absorbed, self deluded
Egocentric and narcissistic
In fact if the word
“Narcissism” hadn’t existed
They would have had to
Invent it just for you
If only you had realised
I wanted to make music with you
Raw unscripted passionate music
An ardent duet,
Fervently reprised
I had creative juices
I had creative juices to spare
I had a song of teenage want
About a frustrated nymphet
In lust with a pretentious musician
Who would rather finger his fret!!
Well I had urges
And I was left unsatisfied
By your excruciating folk
And your mournful dirges,
You called me your muse
Like I should be flattered
I didn’t want to be your muse
I wanted to be your groupie
I panted at you in desire
I dressed provocatively
I hinted at my lusty inclinations
I suggested you play my body
Like an instrument
But the sexual connotation,
Like everything else, was lost on you
And I remained unsullied
That sultry sensual summer long ago

Music Box

remember when you

used to open your hand

and i would dance

in your palm

a human music box

always spinning

to your favorite song

then you would

grow tired and

close me up

only letting me dance

when you wanted

to be amused

you were always

the music in my heart

even in the darkness

of your control

i would pray to

see the light

the lid open so

i could ballet

a smile across

your world

I Love You.....

I love you so I give you my heart...
I love you so I give you my smiles...
I love you so I give you my laughter...
I love you so I give you my strength...
I love you so I give you my obedience...
I love you so I give you my life...
I love you so I let you be the air I breathe...
I love you so I give you my soul...
I love you so you are the music in me...
I love you so you are the songs I sing...
I love you so I let you be the music I play...
I love you so much because you know when Im hurt...
I love you so much because you bring joy to my life...
I LOVE YOU and that`s all there is to it.....

Music of You

You are beautiful and crazy
When I leave I am gonna be so hazy
Because without you i am nothing
I hear no music or anyone sing
I will have to hold my desire for you till next time
That is when the music will play and bells will chime
I love you for now and always
No matter what anyone does or says

The Dance

Awaken summers child to hearts becoming
born of freedom, smiles, and laughter
given unto sin of decadence and desire
the nights were young
here and now was love
as the sea seeks the sand-

The day as beautiful prose
that which I remember
when you took my hand
amber kisses like dewdrops
upon the roses
this is the song to which
I dance each day
that carries me wherein
the music I no longer hear-

Spent memories my only friend
and I find my love story
lost among the stars
How I wish I could have
one last dance-

Let the music flood my soul
with divinity and purpose
but let it not be as vapors
let it always be as living water
that I may drink and thirst no more-

Premium Member Longing Dreams

Longing dreams as our eyes finally meet
A quaint introduction in this modern day sweet
To a park we stroll under winters darkening sky
Chatting and laughing in accommodating apply

The heavens declare their time of the year rains
Whilst two amble joyfully absorbing natures champagne
A few drinks they enjoy blending into their night
Confirmed by a kiss declares their meet right

Hand in hand, now closer than before
Their longing dreams in their minds they explored
With soft music playing and an oaky Lindemann's poured
Two hearts beating over the music they soar

Glasses laid down her hand he requests
As they dance to many songs, their sensing of zest
Again their eyes meet as a slow love song plays
Their previously explored minds start to show their displays

The Finished Portrait

it's a long way to fall between winter and spring
what would you say if I said you were everything
the wind in my sail, the tide on my beach
how far does my song need to go to reach?

if I wrote you a song, would you sing along?
adding some lyrics and music of your own
is it all just an exercise in futility?
could it be that I have everything you need?

maybe--I am your just dessert
to make you happy and remove all the hurts
to expand all the empty chambers in your heart
the finished portrait, a true work of art

if I wrote you a song, would you sing along?
adding some lyrics and music of your own
when the verses take hold and it all filters in
when your heart finds a place, it can finally call home

Save the Last Dance

baby, save the last dance
save the last dance for me
the music is just right tonight
these lyrics that I feel
we may not get another chance
this time, let's do it right
baby, save the last dance
the music is ours tonight

put your arms around me
pull me to your chest
I can feel your heart beat
it's pounding against my breast
my head upon your shoulder
we move slowly to the song
don't let me go too quickly
in your arms I belong

Dance

as the music starts
we dance once again
this time you don't let go
no one cuts in
the music just right
a song that we know
