Wings: My Favorite Things

Angel wings are not feathered but they are real,
Made from lighter stuff and stronger.
They have a metaphysical feel,
And last an eternity longer.

The feel of an Angel wing is not a sensation like touch.
It’s on a higher more philosophical plane.
The usual senses are only a crutch,
Like trying to explain snow while in the rain.

To feel an angel wing flutter,
One must “ know thyself ”,
And remove the “me” clutter,
To reveal the naked shelf.

You know that fellow that always angers you,
And makes you retaliate every time?
Remember recently when he was through,
You smiled and didn’t even mind?

And how with your children, you pray to be patient,
And cry and blow up instead?
Then why today, when they tried your patience,
Those were tears of joy you shed?

These experiences and many others,
When asked for in earnest prayer,
Are simply Angel wing flutters,
Teaching us how to live and care.

These are the feel of Angel wings,
Not privy to the usual five,
But made of heavenly things,
Sublime, real, ..fully alive.

My Candle Light

My Candle Light

Sung to the tune of Simon and Garfunkel, “Bridge over Troubled Water”

Splendor in my life
Since you came by
A tender heart that shines
A voice of hope, my guide.
From the very start
I was warmed by your smile
I knew you were one of a kind
Like an angel standing by-y my side
My candle light
Like an angel standing by-y my side
My candle light.

Colors in my life
Crystal shine
Catching rainbow shades of light
With you I choose to fly.
My spirit reborn
Not evermore forlorn
For you are all I want
Like an angel standing by-y my side
My candle light
Like an angel standing by-y my side
My candle light.

My love, my light
Please take my life
My heart, my soul, my all
I give to you forevermore
I'm on your side
Oh, never fear, I'll never leave
Together we're destined to be
Like an angel standing by-y your side
I'm your candle light
Like an angel standing by-y your side
I'm your candle light. Your candle light.

My Angel

My Angel is a woman with red hair and beautiful green eyes.
With a smile brighter then the starry skies.

My Angel gave me a great surprise.

When I found out that she's the devil in disguise.

But see, I like it and that's the good part.

Cause see, My Angel has stolen my heart.

I've fallen for her, but I'm only a man.

For I'm a sucker for a girl named Marianne!

''Heavenly Angels''

''I heard an angel speak last night and he said ''write''.-Elizabeth Barrett Browning

There you stand, the symbol of my love.
The touch of a hand,a sign from above.
Drenched in sorrow.
I will stay til' morrow.
Brisk breeze sent chills down my spine.
As though I knew, your angel eyes I'd find.
Relaxing my nerves,I can feel you near.
Presenting yourself in my eyes so clear.
In this field lay many of broken souls.
Thus my aching fingers, the names do I scroll.

My Sweetest Sin

You are an angel that glistens in the night
That scares away all demons within your sight
You’re beautiful, remorseful and caring
You’re my sweetest sin

You’re the someone every once a piece of
The Beautiful Anti Demon from above
The shimmer in your eyes
Matches the sparkle in the skies
And makes ideas fly to. .
The heavens

Stars above let me say
I’d take a bullet for my love
And head your way
To protect her with my life
For that I wouldn’t care or gripe
I will do anything to see her smile
Even if it took a day or a while

You are an angel that glistens in the night
That scares away all demons within your sight
You’re beautiful, remorseful and caring
You’re my sweetest sin

Love Yet Unknown

An infant's cry has an Elysian ring,
endearing the late-night hour.
A tiny, yet rattling, distinct sound,

impinges a young mother's weary body.
Joyously awakened, she follows her heart,
as a newborn angel softly calls.

Rest will evade for a short while
as motherly instincts prevail;
endearing the late-night hour.

Tender emotions overwhelm her soul
as dream-like powers drift over,
impinges a young mother's weary body.

Angelic bells heard in air, abound.
Time is of no essence,
as motherly instincts prevail.

Waiting in a Lilliputian ruffled bassinet,
contentment, despite weariness,
a newborn angel softly calls.

Life now holds a most sacred trust,
a miracle of wonderment.
Time is of no essence.

Her total being, now complete,
dreamlike trends never felt before,
impinges a young mother's weary body.

Now aspiring to her most magnanimous role,
futurity holds only hopefulness &
a miracle of wonderment.

Nebular images, as far as she can see,
in tune with her dreams, now reality.
A newborn angel softly calls.

Halos, aspirations, is all that she sees.
An infant's cry has an Elysian ring.
Futurity holds only hopefulness, &
a tiny, yet rattling, distinct sound.

Drifting, in her thoughts,
tones of amazement, never felt before,
impinges a young mother's weary body,
a newborn angel softly calls.

Who Are You

Who are you ?!
Are you the water when I'm the rose?!
Who are you ?!
Are you the light in my eyes when they are close?!

Who are you ?!
Are you the melody in my iPod when it's off?!
Who are you?!
Are you the home when it rains you become my roof?!

Who are you?!
Are you the smile when I and my tears fall down?!
Who are you?!
Are you the prize when I fail you become my golden crown?!

Who are you?!
Are you the guy of my dreams who will make my dreams come true?!
Who are you?!
Are you the angel God sent , did he replace an angel with you?!

Who are you?
You are my dream came true
Who are you?
Dear I envy myself for you

The Human Heart

As your wedding ring travels here from a far
I find it fitting that it came from a distance
beyond the scope that my life emcomposes
just like the human angel of my life
Who came from outside of all I have known

We find ourselves thinking the same thoughts
knowing we are soulmates if there is such a thing
Our hearts seem to tug to one another
Beat the same thoughts, inherit the same dreams
feel the same out of place feeling in this life

What is a human angel?
It is talking during those starless nights
Loving through the dark indifference
Hoping by only love's grace
Inheriting memories that we make our home

She is heaven traped in human skin
An angel as a ordinary woman
Talking with God as an ordinary man
Lost to the expectations of man
She is the symbol of my heart

How Did You

When I close my eyes,
You always take me by surprise.
Your eyes always sparkle like emeralds in the morning sun,
With on look into them my came undone.
Your voice is like angels singing on high,
With just one glance I always felt as though I could fly.
How did you get there,
And why should I even care?
Swiftly a whisper came upon me,
And suddenly an angel in human form I did see.
Your lips did things to me you cannot imagine or conceive,
You did more for my soul than you ever believe.
When the tears start to fall,
I wish you were the one I could call.
How did you get there,
And why would I even care?
I do know where you came from,
An angel that was sent from above.
When the nights get cold,
It is you I want to hold.
I know how you got here,
But I wish I did not care.

The Hand of An Angel

I could look for my remaining days on this earth
and never find a woman like you
There is no one out there
who really could care
and love me
quite as much as you do
I've been some places I won't mention out loud
and I've done some things that don't make me proud
but I swear
I'll never be going back there

A little humility
won't be that bad for me
considering just where I have been
If someone says how,
I 've lost my pride now
We'll they must not have known me back then
I've made some mistakes
and I've had some heart breaks
but I don't think that there's anything wrong
with taking the hand of an Angel
when an Angel just happens along

I'm telling you
that I want you know
You're the best friend
 that I've ever known
and I feel no shame
for the fact that I came
we were both through with being alone
I can't remember laughing and smiling so much
and I want your kisses and I need your touch
here I am
just so glad that you give a damn

It's not such a bad thing
to swallow my pride
I know that you know that it's true
and now I can see
that you've needed me
just as much as I've needed you
Things are going to change
but the way it remains
all I have is my love and a song
about taking the hand of an Angel
when an Angel just happens along.

The Plague

I am the angel with the wings over her eyes,
Thriving in a land full of happiness and rose colored tints.
If my pupils were to meet the greetings of fluorescent lamps,
I would see the reality of it all.

The reality of the plague standing bare-chested in the mirror;
Her opalescent eyes gazing back in a tear-stained blue,
The rolling hills of her porcelain skin tinged with pink
And the mahogany hair in sweeping curls below the collarbone.

There is no beauty in this angel.
Only the wings distinguish her from the demon within
That rages with fervor unknown to the modern man.
The angel is only but a mask.

What would Mr. Peacock say?
His darkened romanticism is the only antidote.
Only his gothic swirls of the pale Ligeia
Could ever allow the plague to subside.

Halo

an angel that you've killed
had walls again built
the angel used to be everything that you need
the angel couldnt succeed
his mission to be your saving grace
the angel feels now like in a maze
lost and alone
everyday the angel prayed
that the halo wont fade
the sunray turned into blacklight
the angel can't burn through the darkest night
maybe halos aren't real
and every angel have to kneel
when reailty shoot them out of the air
and they have to start at the first square
why this angel couldn't break the rule
why life even have to be to angels so cruel?

Angel

When I woke up this morning and I saw you lying there
with the sunlight through the curtains shining in your hair.
I looked at you lovingly, while you lay asleep
then leaned over to kiss you, gently on your cheek.
And I do believe it's true to say,
I think I have kissed an Angel today.

We sat together at the breakfast table, with talk of the day ahead
as always you had something to say, to help me clear my head.
The phone rang, one of the children, needing you again
you patiently talked and listened to her, taking away her pain.
And I do believe it's true to say,
I think I have spoken to an Angel today.

When I came home in the evening, at the end of a busy day
you were there at the door to meet me, in your usual way.
I’d never seen you more beautiful, in the clothes you wear
I held you close to kiss you, while my hand ran through your hair.
And I do believe it's true to say,
I think I have seen an Angel today.

Now as I lay beside you, as you sleep, in the dark of the night
I think how you always bring to my life, so much love and light.
Without your love I would be, like a candle without a flame
for the close ones, who share our love, it would be the same.
And I do believe it's true to say,
I think I have loved an Angel today.

A Daydreams Dream

***3 rime couee put into one.

All I see is your perfect eyes.
They are tears of joy when she cries.
We found a place where true love lies.
Chase away all your screams.
Take you to where the angel flies.
Your only in my dreams.

Your a dagger with angel wings.
Piercing my life with what you bring.
Welcoming you in though you sting.
All pain, no expression.
The scar left teaches me something.
Life is not a question.

O' thou taketh thine's dying light.
Rage on forthright, stealing night.
Lessening is your servants sight.
In life we are all free.
In your tight grasp, I take this flight.
No vision, but I see.

The Two of Us

A man is on a stone
He feels so very alone
He has had his flings
But he longs for other things
What? He does not know
His life is cold as snow
Something fast catches his eye
An angel flying in the sky
The man does not lose sight
For the brightness of her light
He meets her on the ground
And asks her to stay around
They stay together like two dove
Together they fall in love
You see it is true
 The angel is you
And u must see
The man is me
I love you
We know the love is true
We wait for the dawn
Together we move on
To our life as one
Our love has now and forever won
