The Human Heart

As your wedding ring travels here from a far
I find it fitting that it came from a distance
beyond the scope that my life emcomposes
just like the human angel of my life
Who came from outside of all I have known

We find ourselves thinking the same thoughts
knowing we are soulmates if there is such a thing
Our hearts seem to tug to one another
Beat the same thoughts, inherit the same dreams
feel the same out of place feeling in this life

What is a human angel?
It is talking during those starless nights
Loving through the dark indifference
Hoping by only love's grace
Inheriting memories that we make our home

She is heaven traped in human skin
An angel as a ordinary woman
Talking with God as an ordinary man
Lost to the expectations of man
She is the symbol of my heart
