Onset of Winter

Wintereinbruch / Onset of Winter / Inicio del invierno

Tage verschwimmen im Nebel.
Eisblumen malen Gesichter
an die Fenster
und die Zeit steht still
wie eingefroren.
Lange schon verstummte
der sommerliche Vogelgesang.
Der kurze Herbst
hält noch die bunten Blätter
an den Bäumen,
doch jetzt sind sie
versunken schon
im frühen Frost
wie ausgefallene Kristalle.
Plötzlich dann
nach nächtlichem Schneefall
fällt die Natur
in allzu frühen Winterschlaf

Days become blurred in the fog.
Tracery of faces on a frosted window
and time stands still,
as being frozen too.
The summer birds' songs
fell silent long ago.
A brief autumn still holds
colorful leaves on trees,
but now they bogged
in early frost like fancy crystals.
Then suddenly
after an overnight snowfall
nature fell into a far
too early hibernation

Premium Member The Lunatic Is On the Grass

Unknowingly unable again to ever feel
As I stand gazing at the gates of dawn
Arnold Lange in evening heels
Awkwardly walking across the lifeless lawn
The pipers playing softly in the rays of a new sunrise
Luring the horizon into interstellar overdrive
See the gnome, the scarecrow as they ride the bike
Are they Alone or living or are they just alive?
Syd stands smiling like the fool on the hill
Matilda Mother Lucifer Sam
Never knowing never will
Chapter 24 is Flaming
And unable to talk
Court Jester is raving
Take up thy stethoscope and walk
Shine on you crazy diamond
I wish you were here
Have a cigar dear boy
And Breathe in the air
You've missed the eclipse
So welcome to the machine
Share it fairly any colour you like
As long as it's green
Don't worry in Time you can have it all
As long as you remember
You're just another brick in the wall

Ringing In the New Year

< raise your glass toast to thy new year
                               recant memories close and near
shed thy tears for beloved that died
ring out wild bells to the wild sky

                               new dawn is upon horizon
bless me "O" Lord for I have sinned
basking in beauty I did cry
ring out wild bells to the wild sky

winter spring summer and fall's theme
                               natures way of trickery schemes
                               weaving another day to try
ring out wild bells to the wild sky

ever try an moon and stars dance
believe me they put you in trance
so raise me once again Lord high
ring out wild bells to the wild sky

crown jewels and mirrored fixtures settings
                               illuminates hearts strings nettings
ask not pass singing auld lange sye
ring out wild bells to the wild sky

Die Lewens Gang

Die Lewens gang

So dwaal ek rond in die lewens gang

sal daar weer nog potrete by kom

Daar loop weer 2rye spore deur my
lewe, soos in die lewens gang van
ons lewe, verskyn daar ook n potrret
van jou op my muur, en ek weet uit
eindelik is jy ook op geteken in my
lewe. My gemoed raak stil want soos

Dann sagte Er heirate mich,

I Need a New Recipe

Blueberries, bananas, and walnuts,
Five eggs, and a few cups of flour,
This dessert is easy to make,
It only takes about an hour.

A glob of butter and some sour cream,
Two cloves of garlic and mistletoe,
A handful of spinach and celery,
Four snails and a bucket of cookie dough.

The oven is heating up now,
It is up to six hundred and ten,
But I still need three spotted turtles,
And the toenails of a speckled wren.

Throw in some rice crispy treats,
And shiny blue fire crackers with a bang,
I am not sure this recipe is quite safe,
Even though it was written by Ms. Lange.

The oven is done, I shove the mess in,
Then I jumped, turned, and gave a great shout,
I had not put in the spicy Ketchup,
And all the tasty little skittles were out.

But I soon pulled my creation right out,
I smelled the air and my heart nearly sang,
But my family will not take a bite,
We'll just have to feed it to Ms. Lange!

Lost Lover

Your love is lost
Your word descended from the pits of starvation
Emotionally, for a month I resided in your arms like an orphan
Stayed by your side
Rested under your feet
Nana instead of using my spine as a stepping stool
You walked all over me.

Your footprints left a burning mark on my skin, the least of my worries were,
Will you ever catch a grenade in a war for us?
I was hit by an atomic bomb when I stretched my arms reaching,
For a piece of paper to write
A century for the new age
Our time as one flesh being a mechanism to count the years life was found upon,
Nana the forever part in the text was dry
I blew the ink off the surface with all my breath
Just a little longer…, I would have died,
I would have died for what to you was only a page that I found on top of your desk,
Died for what to me was a book found in the middle of incredible happenings.

The ink was dry …
The font was final, I should have landed your hand
Hold it tight and slowly write Ls and Os’ .., Vs and E’s till the last page
Just the way they do it in grade R
Lost lover
My tears are no longer in the scope of being dry,
They have out lived the agony and colonized a pond in Ficksburg,
The fluid is rich with what will sustain an ecosystem
An ever Lange of melting Ice cubes
Filling up oceans, refusing to reflect but rather give in to the rays of the over Seeing Eye God has called the sun,
A tragedy of humankind but a step closer to cleansing the planet

They say for a virus to parish, the host must be put down
In simple terms
You no longer qualify to be called a lost lover
Our planet died a long time ago
You no longer host this love
The missing part of the story no longer exist
I have found you to be perfectly fit to stand with other stones
Pave a way for a new
Lost lover
The title has left its purpose for thee
I wish you can see what happens inside of me when thee wakes up every morning
There’s this sudden rush to end this poem
And get back to bed.

King of the Range

King Of The Range

Pinto beans and hot fry bread

are his means for survival out on the

open range.

Herding cattle all day with his quarter

horse Saint and his border collie

Paintbrush is his way to make loads

of silver change.

At night when he’s by himself under

the bright twinkling stars, he strokes himself

while thinking of a nude Jessica Lange.

He’s the man to call to kill a mean

coiled-up rattlesnake and to fish for

a tasty basket of hot catfish,

but computers and cell phones

to him seem strange.

When he goes home, his Mom whips up

a pie of fresh lemon meringue.

Women sigh as he goes by, unaware

that years ago in a gunfight at

high noon, his virile manhood

lost its twang.

But he still tips his ten gallon hat

and winks at them as he passes by

because he’s King of the range.

Good Friends / Gute Freunde (Sentanka)

Good friends are often rare
Lasting friendship should be our aim
In good and bad times

No matter what others would say
Trust is all what counts and lasts

----------------------------------------

Gute Freunde sind selten
Lange Freundschaft sei unser Ziel
Im Guten und im Schlechten

Egal, was andere sagen würden
Nur Vertrauen zählt auf Dauer

Einsamkeit Von Satis Shroff

Ewig
Schattenwurf lange auf der Straße
Tief in die Nacht
Berühren alle Tiere
Am Bronx Zoo

A Few Senryu

They've Gone

Your children are dead.
Go now and lay down your head.
They've fled, it is said.

Second Time

You have for so long
Reached out for that second one -
But grab the first, first!

Sob

Oh, a tear or tear?
Crying because it was torn?
Ah, a tear or tear?

Again and Again

So good to repeat!
Again to repeat again.
To repeat! So good!

Folk

Do singers of folk
Please other folk with their folk?
Folk, of course, love folk.

Maybe Your Last, Old Friend

Pooch, oh be aware.
This is called a day? Oh, dear,
I suspect not so.

So, So, So

Lives are so like books.
So readily torn apart.
Books are so like lives.

Whether the Weather

I have a new coat.
I'd love to wear it, and so
I beg for rain. But . . .

Say Again

I can hear the voice
But cannot make out the speech.
Ah, so much for words.

Out

You did, of course, leave
That door unslammed. And it said
Much, oh so much, more.

Completion

Ah, so it is so:
There is nothing more to say.
This makes me happy.

And Here is the News

On top of the hour
Tens of thousands of people
Talk to microphones.
