Premium Member Starting To Feel Jazzy

The heart of a lion
The soul of a flea
The energy of a gnat
Please do not let this be me

Reaching into my junk drawer
I pick up three items that give me glee
A candy bar wrapper,
And a playing card with a decorated bee.

Dragons in my undercarriage,
Dolphin party in the sea,
This poem is starting to feel jazzy,
It is lively, and it’s free.

I line up the unicorns,
Who are laughing at my knee.
They ask Trixie to join them,
So she dances away with thee.

Her underling muses
Chip and Dale come running to me.
They are dying to write a poem,
So we line up the junk items three.

Let’s make it funny, says Chip
A cut up we all agree.
But Dale wants a sad poem,
So we begin to disagree.

Trixie's assistants laugh at my consternation
And run away you see,
So this is the end of the poem,
Which made me yell a “whee!”

Voices of Jazzy

A cozy area, not intimidating,
Its basic lights decrease the intensity.
A silence falls across the stage.
The words on paper are silent.
The poet's heart skips a beat,
Then the voices come-

In a medium alto range ivory keys play.
Soft cool jazz with elongated notes
Giving a sultry sound,
An organic-poetry begins
With a beautiful robust tone.
The earthy maturity of his words
Injecting from deep within.
He strips his emotions bare
Of his heartbreaks, desires and fears.

Simultaneously evolution of
Poetry and jazz merge the two arts-
Rhythm and diction, a powerful jazzy sound.
Imagine the emotions within their minds.
I empathize with their tones of voice,
Leaving me spellbound.

Jazzy Poem

In a smokey basement a saxophone plays,

while the singer sings: "Nordic blue wanderer, why is the grass green?
Not red like the cherries in the tree."

The baseline is covered by the strings.

The saxophone plays, the singer sings.
The tune goes on, carried by the beat of the base.

All of a sudden, and out of tune: "Times up guys, closing time!".

Feel the music touch your soul,
Words add meaning to the whole,
Watch your feelings take control.

Feel the jazzy groovy beat,
Swirl and twirl as impulse fits,
Dance that buzzy primal heat.

Feel the urgent strains expand,
Shake your body, clap your hands,
Explore easy breezy trends.

Feel the happy moments swing,
Surge of trance in a wild fling,
Senses swaying as you sing.

Feel the groovy way embrace,
Touch sure healing in fond craze,
Dance and cling now face to face.

Feel warm passion swing magic,
Be in sync with jazz music,
Swirl of ground feels magnetic.

Feel what you feel in sure proof,
Listen now as music moves,
Enjoy feisty waves that groove.

Some neighborhoods have to have your color pallet approved.
You can have gray, tan or light beige, but no snazzy colors that moved.
Oranges and reds are frowned on, and purples are put in a sad place.
To mention the word emerald would be more than a major disgrace.

These houses look the same in a sea full of ordinary and bland.
I never want to live in one of them said my aunt Ring-a-Mor-And.
Ring-a-Mor-And bought land outside the socialized city.
She wanted to fix her house up in rainbow colors, extremely pretty.

The gray and tan house owners get in their cars and run out to take looks.
I see their sad faces, and feel sorry for them in their plain little ugly sad nooks.
Ring-a-Mor-And’s house is glitzy and spritzy, and ritzy, and brings glee to me.
To thousands if the parade of cars is an indicator said my Cousin Bree.

She smiles and laughs with delight
When daddy squeezes her so tight
Excitement glows upon her face
Expressing pleasure at his embrace
This world is her happy place

Joyous enthusiasm she doesn't lack
Autism doesn't hold her back
Zany antics but words are few
Zeal for exploring all that's new
You are the light we wish for you

Jazzy Hearts

Left to their own improvisation
They swirl around each other
In search of the perfect melody
One they'll be in sync with every sway
A rhythm so smooth and soothing
Love the main instrument of their music
A finely tuned sax creating luscious sensations,
Echoing in every fiber of their musical being
Occasionally trading-off, to listen to each other's beats
Quietly going on wild adventures of call and response
Albeit, they always find their way back to the melody
Affectionately falling into a silent contrapuntal rhythm
The jazzy hearts dance to the music of love.

Jazzy jest jumps
Poignant prance pumps

Seek simple sway
Wander wise ways

Craft clever choice
Prune pungent poise

Latest looks laugh
Set squeaky stuff

Time troubles tease
Lumpy late lease

Jazzy jeer joins
Proud petty point

Premium Member Jazzy Cat Plays the Beatnik Blues

Jazzy Cat was playing the beatnik cat blues.
He has lost so much, what else does he have to lose?
There were many comments, about his granny glasses’ hues.
Straight out of the sixties, he was yesterday’s news.

In the chilled embrace of house jazz, a living room playlist sweeps between speakers/
“Love to love you, baby,” the melody repeats/ whispers of love on a morning breeze as the samba beat rises/
voices echo softly, as the day heats up to a samba song/
we make love in the summer heat with no retreat/
an underground voice box sounds out to the house dancin' crowd/
twisting, turning, spinning tales, Rio De Janeiro calls, A beach party of jazzy crazy string bikinis in my dreams/
vibrant, alive, a music medicine supreme brings the funk into overdrive/
let it ride, as the vinyl set spins, cozy late-night vibes awaken, from DJ Sunset House/
he is jumpin’ on the groove with his chilled Lofi punky sets/

Painting the horizon of heaven
bet you blue is there
as you travel by plane through air
while you sink within your drink
blue is in the mix
so your throat is cool
your head has a fix
brown and mellow in your seat
comfortable in your blue jeans
you think of your destination
blue rules the invocations
beat of the jazzy band
oceans making love to sands
somber eulogy dear ones passed
like the old Chevy Nova
that use to leak gas
first time you held baby boy
last minute of a sensual joy
the music that travels in your moods
composing the essence of
the house of blues.
