Premium Member I'Ve Seen So Many

I've seen so many sunsets just like this.
Yes, the gentle closing of a spring day.
The cats on the fence are afraid to miss
their secret daylight duties fore the last ray
ascends the trees chased by the shadows
of twilight. The children next door sometimes
yelling but more muffled now cause night follows
and soon they will be jailed for day crimes,
so they think, as they are called for the evening.
Now all is still, not a leaf moves, slow mode,
silhouettes of lighted life, hushed, expecting
the appearance of a new god and a new code
that will rule the night and finally kiss
the dawn. I've seen so many sunsets, just like this

Premium Member The Owl

I have become like him; nocturnal.
Prematurely anaesthetised by exhaustion
then jerked awake into the darkness.
How long since I have slept 'til dawn?
A stifled yawn veiling scurrying thoughts.

Tennis match of emotions; back and forth;
volleying, lobbing this way and that.
The game, set and match of insomnia.
Then rallying forth as dawn brings clarity.
Despairing disparity sleeping finally.

The silence of the night amplifies my heartbeat.
Each breath echoes in the unsettled gloom.
As the dawn casts its ghostly light around the room
sleepless wakefulness wanes with the retiring moon,
and the owl rests, fatigued by his 'whooing'.

Unlike me he can sleep by day, the night is his time,
not mine; I am the intruder in the darkness;
a restless insomniac with an overactive brain.
Sleep well majestic wise one. No doubt,
when night falls, I will share your company again.

Building a Fire

Building a fire

Had a smirk of sorrowful clarity
Someone dancing on my grave.
And a artist
The night was gathering materials.
 Knowing ambition for pleasure
Would never fill the pit.
The night called for a burn
All the grasped boxes of blankets
Nostalgic wood, Rhapsodies of a ratt-packen
Journals, binders, scraps of thoughts
Nick-knack volumes of prophets
Overdosing on written salvation
Hoping for a instance coffee relief
A always, never the fallow-through
More is pilled, the mix of kindling
Dirty-bits, and old yearnings
A stone from a beach, of first love
Scrapbooks of holding mortality
**** mags, and bed follies pics
A secrete place a catholic boy goes
My heap inter-mixed with nature
All of it dead, until the match
Erupts a fire enjoying feeding
Impermanence is really scarred
So is observing the flame
Hypnotic destruction is fire at night
Eyes dance to flares refection
Chaotic colors of visible heat
A calm abiding trance
Warm glowed my garments
In ambers consuming to ash

Embarking

If you think I am embarking, I am not embarking;
I am merely pretending that I have departed.
Even the wind pulls me along, pulls me out of this tangled space through
the window of my dreaming.
The night sky burps forth glimmering stars where patches of light explode with remarkable
brilliance.
I go out when the moon is new; carry the stars on my shoulders.
When the wind is high I pursue the path of the graceful moon.
Nothing moves below the edges of the universe.
I am an embarking stranger in these new fields of golden light that flourish above my
darkness.
I am afraid to relax as I look down; I cannot conquer this fear that I have avoided for too
long.
The ground is covered in a patchwork of silent glistening surprises.

A newborn night is harmless..... And cheerful for a while,
then it begins to demand all the limits of me.
I fear my shadow will be stolen; I simply cannot give up my shadow to the turning moon.
I am a sequence of thoughts leading away from home.
I never expected to be a captive voyager pirouetting through space;
yet!
I am this silent audience excepted to applaud this procession of time.
I am here, I am breathing, and I am.
I have reached out with my imagination to dust off the stars of heaven.
If you think I am embarking... I am not embarking,
I am merely envisioning departing.

Night

Night is definitely my best friend,
For it doesn’t ask me to do anything but to enjoy myself.
At night I may feel my body cold…
Then I realize I won’t have to feel others’ coldness as well!

Night is undoubtedly the most bright piece of the day.
The sky may be dark, but sunlit ideas light up the mind!
Though gloomy, at night one can be anything but blind,
For thoughts come up so clear as in a plain highway!

Night is delightfulness, unspeakable pleasure…
Time for melodies, stories, daydreaming, fulfilling solitude!
Such preciousness one shall absolutely treasure,
For dawn’s just around the corner showing envious attitude.

So “here comes the sun” some may happily say…
My consolation, though, lies in knowing far n’ away
By the end of an endless, warm and sunny day
My dearly beloved night comes back to me come what may!

Red Dress

The Bar has just called time
and he's spent what was his last dime
Ladies and gentleman please,
Continue to mutter outside in the gutter

Scarf and Hat , its time to leave,
Walk through the streets , encounter the deadbeats
To his place in this town that should have been knocked down
Unlock's the door pulls back the bolt
Nothing worth taking , so why so painstaking
His pride has been battered and his memories shattered
No charity taken , and be not mistaken
We put him there , its our cross to bear

Straightens her picture , then tells her hell miss her
Lips smudged on the glass his tears soon will pass
Puts on the kettle and begins to settle
In for the night so turn off the light
Good night god bless
To dream the lady of the Red dress.

View From the Sky

VIEW FROM THE SKY

all the miles i've traveled
with my foot on the gas
to get to this place
ignoring the past
i fought so hard
for a view from the sky
and once i got high
i just wondered why

it's something i saw
from so far away
a sunrise up close
is like night and day
so look for me there
in that brief golden glow
and know that i love you
more than you know

i hope you rejoice
and sing me a song
in the whispering breezes
i am singing along
so when your night is bad
and your world is dark and blue
just come outside this morning
i am waiting there for you

What the Night Holds

What the Night Holds
For me what the night holds is a sense of excitement
a sense of wonder
Of how life is
and my thoughts that I ponder
Enjoying the night for it soon shall pass
And wake from our sound slumber
Back to looking through the hours sandglass
Yes my creativity flows like the sands of time
And yet can only be seen in these dreams of mine
Once it was said
enjoy life for what it is
Have faith in yourself
 Let yourself live

Taking Happiness By the Hand

This summer was sunsets
and skipping rocks.
I took my own happiness by the hand

There was midnight adventures
after the club, with my best friends
Slinky black dress,
and a touch of pink on my cheeks
Illuminated by the lights on the street
Lil wayne Blaring from the stereo
I took off the stilleto heels and just walked in my bare feet
The cool night air was delicious
Hitting my skin like butterfly kisses
We were the rulers of the night

UNTOUCHABLE
to
Woe

There was August rain
Solitary runs through my secret garden
I passed through the bridge over the river
I never worried about a thing.
My feet hit the wet sidewalk,
Like Godzilla in Japan, I was all mighty and Powerful

There was quiet mornings,
I drank coffee and let my paint brush
explore the vastness of canvas page
I tried to capture the essence of the night sky
Each stroke was therapeutic, and I left all painful memories of the past behind

This summer was sunsets
and skipping rocks.
I took my own happiness by the hand

A Divided Soul

The night breaks and the moon turns to red,
Alone I sit in this room with you running through my head.
Once I find you my grasp slowly releases it's hold,
Another night goes by that I find myself alone.

I see you underneath it all
I see you hiding among the rubble
One day I will hold you until we are whole

My eyes are hiding you,
The windows to an undying friend.
My heart won't tell me what to do,
Maybe you will take over in the end.

In the rustling of the wind I can hear your scream,
Another night down when out of reach you seem.
Just beyond the horizon I see a blur,
Closer and closer to realize it's just my nerves.

In the mirror you elude me
Just behind what I consider is free
I force my eyes close to clearly see

Untitled Ii

Alone in the dark
-	The stillness of the night with all its enchantment
Engulfed in the mysteries
-	So sad is it when daylight comes

Lost is the charm of the night
-	Left to suffer with the burning glare of daylight
Gone is the elegance of contemplation
-	And so I repeat my quest night after night

A Night Like This

On a night like this
The weaknesses take hold
Turn to dust the things
That keep you bold
On a night like this
I took some things for granted
Now I stand here free
But disenchanted
Could it be possible again?
On a night like this
I do wonder when

Poe's Destiny

Embraced by the silence that pierces my soul
My shadow, my only friend
Aimlessly I wander this barren place
Not knowing where my path might end

My scars are the burdens that weigh me down
A silent reminder of pain
My reason for living remains out of sight
Too broken to ever complain

The winds often whisper my name in the night
I follow where ever it leads
The darkness inhales my will to survive
Ignoring my wants or my needs

These walls of destiny impede my view
My judgement now cloudy and tired
The decisions I make are the product of fate
A reason, no longer required

My future is hollow, its echo unclear
As I stumble back into the night
No promises made, my hope held captive
I pray, that I soon find the light

No where to turn, no where to hide
I write to set my soul free
These voices unclear I follow a ghost
This shadow called destiny

Premium Member Another Sleepless Night For Me

Another night and not sleep I see on sight
Meanwhile I just toss and turn
I do it in bed all thru the night
Really wishing sleeps returns

Meanwhile I just toss and turn
And now what's left for me to do
Really wishing that sleeps returns
I'm just trying to survive this night

And what's left for me to do
Take pills, but, that's not for me!
Really wishing sleeps returns
As I close my eyes and I'm dying to sleep

Take pills, but, that's not for me!
Oh how my head hurts I can't stop thinking
As I close my eyes and I am dying to sleep
Another night and not sleep I see on sight!
