View From the Sky

VIEW FROM THE SKY

all the miles i've traveled
with my foot on the gas
to get to this place
ignoring the past
i fought so hard
for a view from the sky
and once i got high
i just wondered why

it's something i saw
from so far away
a sunrise up close
is like night and day
so look for me there
in that brief golden glow
and know that i love you
more than you know

i hope you rejoice
and sing me a song
in the whispering breezes
i am singing along
so when your night is bad
and your world is dark and blue
just come outside this morning
i am waiting there for you
