Incandescent Metaphors

When cries do echo the walls of the ward,
Bringing you down on your knees with the pangs of emotions,
Watching tears trickling down your eyes,
Shaking the core of your very being,
As you watch the time tick away-
And every bit of joy seems to fade away.

So you bury your head in resignation,
As the atmosphere remains still,
Casting a eerie echo through your vacuumed mind,
Swaying you off balance like an hopeless being,
Then darkness spread its shadows upon your soul,
Blinding your visions of the relevance of existing.

Then you break down and like yesterday you faded away.
So were you wheeled away-
And all that surrounds you was the air of pain,
And the smell of medicine and the cruel face of the surgeon's knife makes you sad,
And you know not if your face will ever grace the light of tomorrow.

Those you loved; none by your bedside
Those you stood with by the hour,
None passed to drop you a flower.
You wobbled at life's foolery
And your face creased in fury

I think of you
Wherever this hour may bid you be,
I yearn to hold your hand-
Like a lover looking in the other's eyes
I yearn to be that vaccine
To heal you of your ailment.

Hear me as I penned-
This feeling of mine in verses
Be not scared-
As a poet shares in your plight.
Do not be worried,
Lest your mind be troubled.

Let this incandescent metaphors
Lift your spirit high
And make you heave a sigh.
You are strong,
Your heart is that of a lion.
You are an achiever,
So believe in the hands of the divine.
You are a motivator,
You bring us words of inspiration.
You are a loving father,
Your presence we all do cherish.
You are a friend,
Someone loving through the trend.
You are life-
That's why I wrote you this incandescent metaphor.

Muse, Incandescent

She waved her veils as the night flew by,
A seductive dance woven above clouds so high.
Her northern flare spun bright to the south,
Shrouding Orion with the glow in herself.

I watched in wonder at this arctic dream,
A man at the mercy of her ghostly scheme.
Incandescent caresses tempted the hunter’s thigh,
Her silky streams flowing where I fly.

But the Muse’s touch could not Orion move,
He never shifted his gaze nor bid her to sooth.
I wished it was me floating in that universe,
To tease and pull me with her glowing curse.

Ten thousand times each generation views,
The fantasies radiated by her rainbow hues.
But can anyone really tell those starstruck why,
We’re stolen by her beauty as it lights up the sky?

Orion alone, stood and spiked the moon,
To catch Venus’ charms he’d be with her soon.
Why would he move into her dark embrace?
The Muse offered so much more heavenly a place.

The Incandescent Bulb

Such a spherical near ball of delight,
Dispelling darkness with illuminating bright light.
It’s core made of red hot and burning filament,
An element clearing blackness, our eyes out of predicament.
If not for a discovery, by Thomas Alva Edison?
We’d still be in Hades, instead we’re in Heaven.
So thanks to the bulb, we don’t strain our sight,
Whether its day light or the darkest of night.
Imagine a life without incandescent light?
I shudder to think of such a terrible plight.

Blue Light Bulbs and a Bottle of Bleach and the Incandescent Must Win -Part 2

“Deep, deep, deep. Listen and hear our faint gait.
Sanitation, fluorescent lights, and a PC pillow for smother.
Agree! Agree! Atone! Suck it in and suff-o-cate.
White-ness. Black. Ev’ry creed, faith, and color. Listen to Nanny State and call her your mother.”

A wilting flower and grass that’s mowed
Are ever learning why the wilt and why the harm
Innovation, creativity, and where Americana once flowed
Abandoned by the Deep as “fly over” and robbed and made empty the house and the farm

Nude, nude hush in the cellar and the hand can’t hold the gavel
“Trade with China, take arms to China. In Syria sustain the war.
Rude, rude, rude! Abuse of power and a ban on travel.”
Rightful tariffs to the farmers and the market still tends to soar

“Bully the one we call a bully or brute.
A triggered, flying milkshake will save a safe space.
‘You get out and make a crowd!’ You fight! You punch! -- You loot!
And if you see his son about, spit in his face and invade the place.”

Knowledge of good and evil, and the tree from which it sprang
Covet, covet, corrupt in Kiev; greed was found a-Bidden
An Arkansas mansion mem’ry and sight on the oval did haunt and did pang
An outsider, and drainage of septic forbidden

“The farmers don’t want handouts or charity.”
But past year’s labor sets this year’s price
And The Salt of the Earth today will have clarity
The cream off the barrel of tariffs is their due, and the tycoon’s not calling it “nice”

“I’ll still call you a hater. You deplorable vulture!
Because the map in November robbed us our due!”
It’s not 'the other' we hate; it’s your stainless-steal culture
You polled the what, -- (here a hint and a Midwestern clue)
you owned the what, but Deep, my dear, you forgot about us and left sour the Who.

Warm, warm, yellow warm incandescent nourishes
Blue, blue, sterile, starving, hopeless erie --essence
Nanny off the hitch and hands uncuffed --a dirt road gives and flourishes
With the death of equity and the light of equality. And the tapestry shall dawn irid--escence

The long bulb dies along the edges and fringes
Clinical, global culture to the bin
The gate has fallen off its rusted hinges
And the incandescent will win.

Blue Light Bulbs and a Bottle of Bleach and the Incandescent Must Win - Part 1

Blue Light Bulbs and a Bottle of Bleach and The Incandescent Must Win
(part 1)
 					By: J.R. Wren

A wilting flower and a blade of grass
No presumptions of the way things ought to be
Feeding plenty on light through a tinted glass
Patiently waiting and resting in what it means to be free

“Steal, Steal, Steal. Make it up and patch it.
Feel. Feel Feel. Facts don’t matter and from all myth gleans.
Reel. Reel. Reel. Fish it in and match it.
Lies from the lounge and drunken dither. -- Our ends will justify the means!”

Knowledge of privilege and equity to learn
Servers, red phones, and Benghazi aflame
Crossbones, Chicago, Philly and -- -- Her turn!
“She will win! She will win!” Crumpling papers did proclaim

Deep, deep, deep. In plain sight -- a hidden gate
“He doesn’t win. Right? -- -- Right? ---Isn’t that right?
Steep, steep. Drip from a leaking deep state
What's fusion? It's cash stowed in the store late into the night

A wilting flower and that blade of grass
May not have thoughts of what ought to be
But the Deep aim to crash through lids of glass
The steady, sure swap of twenty-one to rid of sovereign - ty

“Steal. Steal. Steal. Lick it up and stamp it.
Feel. Feel. Feel. Feed the Feds and nothing of the Deep careens
‘Real. Real. It’s real!’" TALL thinks FISA won’t catch it.
“Checked (not checked) but might be confirmed!” And the judges are part of the means

They say “check your privilege” and “equity’s sublime.”
But the phone kept ringing and a message was left
Equality and equity can’t be done at the same time
Not by the color of my skin, but a perfect dream left bereft

A blooming rose and a patch of grass
And a new child doesn’t carry what the elders see
Feeding plenty on light with no prejudice of gold or brass
Seeing no difference between daffodil or lily

Hare over turtle “and beware the snitching fox!"
“Feel, feel, feel for all our shadow’s past."
A broken doll in an empty box.
Lemon spiel and Meadow’s blast

An abrasive sponge and a bottle of bleach
Fluorescent morgue lighting - “ask for their consent!
The clinical culture is calculated for all and for each”
Ballots appear. Nanny will fear. “And soon we’ll get you out of that tent.”

Her Peerless Immaculate Incandescent Eyes

Her Peerless Immaculate Incandescent Eyes

I stare endlessly into her peerless immaculate incandescent eyes,
That caught me by surprise,
That set my heart
Very far apart,
I become phased, when I glaze,
Into them while they are ablaze,
Sometimes I wish I could
Surpassively gaze if I would
Into her peerless immaculate incandescent eyes
That caught me by surprise.

How love takes ownership with
a single kiss,
a sigh, a movement into a world of sensuous bliss,
Your softness of skin speaks a language anew,
the warmth of your body wraps me as you pull me close to you,
and lips explore the contours with eyes closed,
like the mind is lost to lust and is with love overdosed,
Every moment is a slice of heaven as we explore,
deeper and deeper into our own depthless vision of love,
The flow of passion sweeps across like untempered forest fire,
In that dim lit corridor our bodies provide the only glow,
One may stop a seething ocean wave but none can stop this passion flow,
it is you and me our desires as the ocean winds roar,
Fluttering silky white curtains at our bodies to explore,
the absolute marvel of creation that is unhindered love,
a force of nature that cannot be subdued,
Shut the world out, its petty distractions no longer endured,
Let’s stay here and for ever make love!

Incandescent Night

Her hair blown in the infernal blast
As the train hurtles pass
hot are the rains rushing past
Falling on an ashen hued metropolis
her form is framed in Furious winds
lightning, as sight transcends this domain
Her hair fair as raven wings
Heat ripples in waves of engines thunder
Into this incandescent night.

Premium Member Incandescent Sky

Until now, the skies were only blue or gray.
But today, wrathful Cacus set the sky ablaze.
Today, the spectral smoke choked ochre sky mirrors
exploding wildfires unleashed below.

Today the tarnished jaundice sky measures
the crumbling Constitutional edifices,
the raging roving injustice burning
everywhere across the land.

Today as thousands are driven
from their homes, the pestilence
spreads across the land,
killing hundreds of thousands.

Today the sooted grimy sky
reflects the deceitful lawless tyrant,
all his crooked crony stagehands,
his white nationalist army of tormentors,
as their raw sewage floods the rivers and streams
of our theories.

Today this climate rampage
has nothing to do with climate change.
We bask instead in the political climate
of aberrant delusions.

Today this inferno in the sky,
this ceiling of hellfire,
suffocates our oxygen of dreams.

Below, the Constitution provides
kindling for the flames
ingulfing our democracy,
the fuel for our conspiracy wildfire,
our rite of passage
                      to the underworld.

Be She Particle Or Incandescent Soul

To touch I can only love not compromise
Such beauty demands utmost respect
Perfectly inculpable like particles of light
They cannot hesitate only move
Swiftly, gracefully, untremulous as destiny

Yet bending, change to vibrant hues
Are we not all particles?
Tiny flits of grandeur in a cosmic scheme
But be she particle or incandescent soul
There is no light like her, this I know.

INCANDESCENT DARK

scintilla of light
in a sky sans moon and stars
a billowing flame

Incandescent Flame

Intro
When there’s nothing to lose, but everything to gain
A journey moving forward, never the same again
To look beyond the shadows, towards a ray of light
Just embrace the midnight, the stars come out at night

Verse 1
There’s nothing to prove, follow authenticity
Surrender the complex, focus with simplicity
Keep that flame burning, resplendence of desire
There’s no better time, to keep on aiming higher

Chorus
A mighty momentous move, just stay in your lane
Be that inspiration, that incandescent flame
A call for boldness, times will ever test
Called and chosen, give your very best

Verse 2
A subtle reaction, rise against the fall
The true satisfaction, the giving of your all
Advancing in harmony, this moment truly yours
An opportune time, the opening of doors

Chorus

Bridge
No substance lost, endeavour to try
Seize every moment, remember the why
Towards the exceptional, no middle road
Be unforgettable, let victory unfold

Incandescent

Inches of snow, soft as serentity and sound
Night glaze and day blaze and time in between
Chrysalis forming life’s beauty within
Amethyst healing and prompting release
Nightingale and Lark sing the same song apart
Echo and Narcissus, the love between heartbreak
Silence radiates peace louder than words
Chimes that signal the arrival of a friend
Ethereal voice lies grounded in a soft flutter
New beginnings that start with a touch of hands
Time moving slowly in a way that counts

Incandescent

Footprints in the snow or a ripple in the creek-
The wet cement of thoughts begin to harden into feelings.
Feelings on the sidewalk are flooded by words.

For some reason I have no hesitation.
Affirmation blooms like a rose.
Heat from a flame and the sound of rain.

Incandescent Angel

Crystal breaks

across her floor

the shards are burning

bright,

in shafts that fall,

and through it all,

I see her dimming light.

Oh, incandescent angel

dark circumstance abides,

to snuff you out

of heaven

the horse you choose to ride

heads off to the

Appocallypse

with passion at the reins

the name you have

upon your lips

is driving you insane.
