Best Impediments Poems
Having lived on earth for some time now
Impatiently he dwells, harboring self doubt.
In face of impediments he loses his mind
Acquiring dispositions like hate and lies,
Hosting showmanship to look good and wise.
Never does he claim his world to be saintly
Letting dreams reign and thoughts go wild
Acknowledging failings incapable of verity.
Risking happy tears, triumphs he celebrates
Saving saddened ones to mourn disasters,
Banking on the strength of worn-out hands
As unforgiving minutes tick-tock forever.
When he gets a turn at the wheel of fortune
Losses seem to mount at every pitch-and-toss,
Regretting moments when he says:"hold on"
For he loses the ground on which he stands.
Yet he carries on, in treacherous currents
Swimming boldly in shark-infested waters
Accepting the reality of fish-eat-fish world.
Unsatiated reveries bestow vacant dreams
Never ever venturing to walk with the Kings,
Commoner he is, like his friends in drudgery.
Pride and joy of his family, a Man he's already!
Truth he owns, is the truth he delineates,
Being a flawed man, for forgiveness he prays.

You ask if I could drive us to the park
where no impediments of man distract.
Fierce gold and dusky pink as sky grows dark -
we witness yet another glorious act.
Creation draws our eyes to skies above -
the artistry and grandeur of the Lord.
The cosmos demonstrates the Father’s love;
a missing soul-piece wondrously restored.
Thou morning sun, ye stars and orb of night,
ye daunting winds inducing clouds to roll
proclaim thy Maker’s beauty, grace, and might;
thy pirouettes declare His firm control.
Ephemeral these scenes that stir the heart;
eternal are the hands that shape the art.
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

When you stagger under the heavy weight of life,
There will hardly be anyone to ease your grief.
But there is always God as your anchor and fort
He is there ever gracious and ready to support.
When you make up your mind to reach God,
You’ll see a chasm separating you and the Lord.
Your legs may grow weary as you begin to walk.
Hurdles and impediments, your path may block.
Don’t be discouraged, please hold on to this anchor
As in chilly winter, for a warm day, we all hanker.
The opulence of this world, can never fill your heart.
It is in God you will find life’s whole comfort.
When sorrow strikes and life turns utterly bleak,
And in every trial of life, it’s Him that you should seek.
Into His caring hands, your life’s reins, you give.
He is enough to solve all your problems, do believe!

Quote:
"Xenodochial (pronounced zeena-doh-key-ul) means to be hospitable. Making others feel at home is truly an art. When you can make your friends, family, and even strangers feel as if they truly belong, you are making the world a better place". By Poet

In a rather distant and uncaring world
There is a virtue that is widely unknown
Friendly, xenodochial, and blithesome Words
A non-parochial warmth is widely shown
Strive to treat strangers with dignity and kindness
And to bless your soul, grant no eyes to blindness
You may glimpse angels—in this river of dryness
No impediments ought to obscure the light
Treasure is always found at unexpected sites
Always be suitable for fresh starts and height
Welcoming pathway lights are faint yet pearled
Bear in mind we harvest whatever we have sown
Don't scold or exhibit just a shred of unkindness
A star shining on you will be soft, mild, and bright

Living the most complete life--
No man deserves less or more from living than another
From a tiny drop of nectar, a flower blooms
One blossom though different invites the same appraisal
Such is the life of a man…he merits happiness and fulfillment
Survey life’s purpose--
Assess what is the best and the worst that can come
If something is meant to be, it will find a way to happen
Never walk without knowing where to go
If no design, the desire may go unfulfilled
Follow the perfection of nature--
The butterfly flutters by radiating beauty
What is forgotten is how it attains its loveliness
Beginning as a hideous larvae, then the ungainly caterpillar
Bursts out of the cocoon as the magnificent butterfly.
Nature’s plan-- the butterfly thrives
Planning is the key--
Humanity mimics the beautiful insect
Once an unknown quantity, man wrestles with his prospects
A dream develops with deeply planted character and strength
Man takes small steps if he knows where he is going
Thus, a man finds the way to his aspirations.
Hold fast to dreams--
Planting the feet assures nothing
Impediments block the way
Sometimes, days open up like flowers blooming despite adversity
Sometimes, man leans too far forward injuring himself in his fall
Sometimes, he opens up his wings and flies needing no net to catch him
Test the possibilities--
To have a life well lived,
Man should venture outside his comfort zone
Do something that scares him every day
Dwell in the here and now but look to the future…
Grab hold of a smile and never let it go.

A Tribute to Golda
It was a clear and bright sun shining morning in May.
As I came out my front door into the breezeway,
I saw coming toward me an enormous gray dog with eyes of pure gold,
The most exquisitely beautiful canine one could ever behold,
With a calm gentle presence and peaceful demeanor;
The look in his brilliant gold eyes assured I had nothing to fear.
It was love at first sight and I hoped he would stay.
Never mind the impediments; I’d find a way.
My toddler son climbed on him like they’d grown up together,
As I seriously pondered the prospect of whether…
Absolutely not, said my husband, a cat man,
And nixed the idea before it began.
Weeks later, a litter box and cat food mysteriously appeared
On the sidewalk, out of nowhere; we thought it quite weird.
With the next morning’s sunrise, we figured it out.
The same coat of gray and gold eyes left no doubt;
The same being who before as a dog had been spurned,
In a more acceptable form and presence had now returned.
Bounding out of the bushes with a commanding meow,
A little gray, gold-eyed kitten my husband had to allow.
In her life as a cat and formerly a dog,
She was my brave and wise Golda who would go on to log
More than one rescue of our subsequent pets.
In defending attack, this courageous gray, gold-eyed feline was as fierce as it gets.
Note: Golda saved the life of my Chow-Chow puppy when she was attacked by a big dog that
came at her from across the street. Golda came out of nowhere with claws out, sending the
dog scurrying with his tail between his legs. Another time she rescued our little Siamese
youngster, Meowli, from the neighbors' dogs by jumping on their head while Meowli ran for
cover. Golda stayed with me for 12 years, longer than the husband cited in the poem, and
then when her time and her work was done, she just disappeared pretty much as she had
appeared. She was a beautiful, long haired all gray Persian with brilliant gold eyes. When not
rescuing other animals, she had the same calm, gentle and peaceful demeanor as the dog who
showed up that morning and left when he knew he was not welcome to stay.

The coastal lighthouses, intervening
in many dangerous undercurrents.
it's beacon interacts vigorously
as vessel realigns, manoeuvring
past many obstacles undistinguished
by any obvious visionary.
So sailing faultlessly, continuing
home without treacherous impediments

Hurdled is life’s highway to every milestone:
Detours, traffic woes~ impediments to goal,
Perturbing in hindrances that endlessly groan
Searching exit ramp to soothe anguished soul.
Though memories of yore, of pain bemoan,
Benevolence of today vows to mold morrow,
Prodding fate of future~ opaque, unknown,
Defying grievous intents in ill-will of sorrow.
Wished for earnestly, life is a cherished dream,
An exuberance of spring, of burbling stream,
A meaningful exploration of endearing theme;
Mystical, phenomenal, halo of mirthful gleam.
Life is a fleeting dot on scale of eternal time,
A journey of courage, yet harbinger of fears;
Gracefully revering the echoes of lifetime,
Whether reveling in joy or lamenting in tears.
Rejoice in life’s sunset, rejoice in life’s sunrise,
Greet charming smiles, yet ignore not its sighs,
Celebrate spring’s birth, mourn autumn’s demise,
Cheer life’s welcome, dwell not in goodbyes.

Ascend to Shakespearean summer sky.
I loved Shakespeare as a girl
When a sonnet was like a melody
And I was not admitting
Impediments to true minds.
Our mark is fixed with the
Demise of one as the only force
Powerful enough to cast our
Corporal union null.
And separation will be Doom each for the other.
If I remain, the grief will raze me and my
Only consolation in not having to hurt you.
If it is I who die, I’ll be with the bluebirds.

Blank verse
Have you ever exclaimed, my friend:
" How beautiful life is? "
When...
You gave your first kiss to your beloved?
You married your sweetheart?
You took in your arms your firstborn?
You had your great success in life?
Or
You admired the beauty of nature?
You scent the aroma of a flower?
You enjoyed one of Beethoven's symphonies?
You cried while listening to an opera?
You saw your most cherished dream come true?
If
You ever have uttered these four words, my
Fellow mortal,
No matter what was the reason that made you do so,
Then
Without fail you have justified:
All impediments,
All grief
All suffering,
All agony, and
All pain
That
Life has put in your way since the day
You were born!

When to the eternity of love embraced in heart
With no particular sense of hate flickering past
The eyes that saw those whom I admired depart,
I evoke up the sorrowful memories I forgot at last;
I smile to many a thought of what from them I learnt –
And with old wounds and old woes now vanished,
I sigh the sigh of relief in that I know what they meant:
The impediments I endured proved love finished
From the hearts that had no hesitation to lie
For ill-advised and wrong doings at guilty sight,
And so their sweet lips and beauty disfigured to my eye;
Then can I love yet with sincere love, growing day & night, –
The lady who loves me with love unencumbered,
Whose lips are still pure, with no lies remembered.

February 9 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Leviticus 24-25
Key Verse – Leviticus 24:4 He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the LORD continually.
FAITH IN GOD WHO LIGHTS OUR LAMPS CONTINUALLY
God lights our lamps continually as we obey His commandments…
So privileged are we to go forward by faith against impediments
Since He calls us to march upward toward holy encampments
With His leadership upholding our obedience-propelled accomplishments.
God lights our lamps continually as we pitch upon His standard…
So blessed are we to follow Him by faith, our Captain and Guard
Since He sets us in His service-vineyard
With His orders directing us, every steward.
God lights our lamps continually as we stay in His holiness’ rank…
So joyful are we to remain by faith along righteousness-bank
Since He keeps us in His love, and Him we sincerely thank
With His sanctification according to His Word, divinely frank.
God lights our lamps continually as we praise His majestic name…
So grateful are we to be consecrated by faith along His ministry’s flame
Since He brings us into His watchfulness we can proclaim
With His instructions charging us to trust His promises we can claim.
God lights our lamps continually as we testify about His goodness…
So humbled are we to receive by faith His provisions’ bountifulness
Since He supplies us to share His gifts of graciousness
With His care nurturing us midst lovingkindness.
God lights our lamps continually as we work in His tabernacle…
So awed are we to witness by faith His might and miracle
Since He strengthens us to be vessels of honour by prayer-buckle
With His hand propping our labour we willingly tackle.
God lights our lamps continually as we live for His glory…
So excited are we to declare by faith His Gospel story
Since He exhorts us by His Word preached in His sanctuary
With His vision guiding our mission toward victory.

Will you come, Oh merciful Lord?
To touch and heal my bleeding heart.
When I sob in suppressed agony,
Ease my heart so torn apart.
I entreat with a voice distressed,
To the one who always feels my pain.
Heal my hurt and purge my heart,
Of the sins which tacitly remain.
I stagger under the weight of life,
No one around to ease my grief.
I see you as my anchor and fort,
You beckon me with avowal of relief.
But a chasm separates you and me.
My legs grow weary as I try to walk.
My body ails with every forward step.
Carry me as impediments, my path block.
I see my world growing dark.
Grant me light that I will not grope.
Lend your hand in my tight rope walk.
That if fallen, I can spring back and hop.
I know, the opulence of this world,
Can never ever fill my weary heart.
It is in the sweetness of Thy love,
That I find my life’s whole comfort.
In the trials of life, in you I seek my shelter.
I wish nothing else but to be wholly thine
Lord, I wait here keeping my door open,
Will you come to make the light in me shine?

Thy songs oh throng,
Scattered as litters on the floor:
Thy message without language,
Shattered by the wind, faint and poor.
Thy voice, thy choice
Of words is slaughtered by impediments;
Thou nurse audible noise,
Often heard but stirs sour sentiments.
Thy picture and structure
I can’t figure out by nature,
But I’ve got a conviction that’s strong
-You sing a sincere song oh throng

i hope you don't mind
if I wander in through your front door
and reset your clocks to headlight savings
life requires humor he said to the lens grinders
as he rode his all terrain moon beam to heaven
where they were eradicating stupidity with fairy tales
same **** greater magnification was basically it
slipped on their own icy hearts
applying one clever artifice after another
but after all one wants to hasten
the modern world along clippity clop
impediments to traffic flow were to be shot
what happened next is not in the dictionary
which is fine don't get me wrong
beats the nuts off hunger
but the world is not nice anymore
isolated pockets of rebellion perhaps
out in the bleak lizard sands hanging from a tree
but the rest stuffed with foam peanuts
that could turn you to ballroom dancing
your narrator being the test case
for daisy picking the numbers the samples the statistics
I love you just the same she whispered after the operation
the entire ABC unit was called in from the chalk mines
and the XYZ crew was called in from the slate quarry
but no amount of preparation could have warned them
of the melancholic yet piquant sagging of standards
his mind had turned upon itself out of shame and envy
he had an entire city in his head
that wasn’t in Architectural Digest
honkings sirens gunfire breaking glass
spasms and outbursts and phobias and anxieties and
compulgings and obsessities and hallucinotions and
mysterias and distortoons and damplifications and
twitchings and itchings and may I add bowel flux
we haven't even begun to look at his libido
which had shrunk from a blacksmith's forge of intensity
to the vague expectation of an afternoon nap
better than living the prelude to a beheading
you decide if hiding in the bushes permanently
like a grinning jack in the box with a message
is the same as dancing through the forest
dressed in leaves and emeralds
pantomime after all is deception
random at first then shapes intervene
there is no random he said over and over in proof
they say the devil spoke Hebrew
and Popeye smoked his spinach
