Premium Member A Brush of Wings

Skywardly yearning,
wheeling and turning,
an exaltation of larks!
Lines interleaving,
wings interweaving
an orchestration of arcs!

Just shadow and light
imbuing their flight,
shape-shifting magic they fly.
With artistic flair,
their canvas the air,
this brush of wings paints the sky!

young moment spills
 of fragrant wisp
  imbuing new romps
 that oh I taste
 freedom again...

by August's play--
a cycle in pure heat
lusting after joy, passion
in kiln of night's rapture

Allowance

My prints are visible for now as I press the soaked sand
Breathing in the cured sea air
I hear the silent roar of its mighty movement
Disobedient curves imbuing in an aquamarine blue
Rhythmic grains of tamed shells
So violently arranged in a thing of beauty along the beaten shore
One should feel powerless against its perimeter
As the constant ascension changes the beach slowly over time
So to do I feel an ever so mellow shift of mind
The sea is an ever so predictable place
With an unpredictable aim
Every bit true for life

Premium Member A Tarot of Amulets

Mediums of Winter parse
translucent runes on the tines
of sloping firs basking like mallards
in March's brusk sunshine.
Arctic oracles echo on the lake's hard sapphire
with pearl crests punctuating
Spring's arrival while cat tails exclaim
nascent umber banks. As teals float
in a tarot of amulets tanagers preen,
imbuing remnant frost with scarlet omens.

Premium Member Marvel of a Skyscape

Imbuing the hour with piquant fog
an intricate yet final sway of this arc rises:
How autumn’s skyline reels into weaves
as stars orbit in a basin of clouds naked
within a dome’s mantle glimmering glimmering:
My breath hushes while more dappled

leaves whirl through the blaze of maples, oaks,
that I in this panorama staged
for this exact moment  remains a while;
if only to embrace this guileless pageant
which will never return the same way, like now.

Premium Member A Winter Wonderland

A December sun sends splendiferous rays
to illuminate Dawn's Halo of light.
And bright sunbeams polish the dullest days,
dissolving darkness imposed by the night.
But shadows can't appease Sol's appetite;
and He rises to consume night outright.

Ice crystals sparkle, and snowflakes glisten
as first light puts Winter's white on display.
And Dawn's silence compels you to listen
for the faintest sounds that awaken day.
Icy winds force children indoors to play;
making snowmen out of paper-mâché.

Icicles hang from the branches of trees,
and the air feels frigid, fresh, crisp, and clean.
You can walk on water where rivers freeze;
while white overshadows everything green.
And Sol sparkles like a yellow citrine,
imbuing the scene with a golden sheen.

Nature sculpted this Winter Wonderland,
and like Spring, Summer, and Fall, it is grand.

That Friday Feeling

that Friday feeling calls near noon
with thoughts of lager capped by foam
and dreams this work-day will end soon
which gives your mind a mood to roam

to favored joints, where with the guys
you joke, guffaw, and swig cold beer
until a soft glance meets your eyes,
inviting you to swagger near

and, with bravado, take a chance
to learn her name is Betty-Lou
and yes, indeed, she'd love to dance;
this precious, lovely dream-come-true

melts in your arms when music slows,
allowing hands to learn each curve
while floral scent enthralls your nose,
imbuing you with manly nerve

to hand-in-hand flee into night
where moon peeps down on newfound bliss
and giddy hearts take sudden flight
when lips approach to share a kiss

but garlic-breathing boss looms near,
you shake awake, return alive,
are bull's-eye of his nasal sneer:
"the weekend, Clown, don't start till five!"

Premium Member Completely Instinctual

There's only one emotion that I feel is completely instinctual
spinoff peripheral feelings are thus subservient to that one
and born complex sensual beings, Man pursues its purity
allowing wishes and fantasies to approach fulfillment
fueled by trust, you experience how happiness feels
imbuing courage, it comforts a whimpering child
no other feeling could possibly take its place
it is the first commandment given by God
and as close to heaven as mortals dare
for futures rely on its foundations
to support impossible dreams
quenching an emotional
thirst, it refreshes you
as two morphs into
one bonded by
a feeling
we call
love

Hummingbird - Joy

Hummingbird..

Hummingbird with light brimming
Sing a song to awaken flowers that are hiding
On the gentle breezes I see you riding
Peace to all you bring
As if by magic you hover in time
The divine quiet of your wings drumming
You remind us to be still but never rigid
Sending us love to open our hearts
Softly you plant a seed in our doubts
When the seed begins to bud
One by one our doubts fall away
All pain dimming
Resolving lifes contradictions
Imbuing our world with every colour of the rainbow
Filling our souls with joy
Soothing heart and mind
Never wanting to be caged
To always fly free
Teaching us to live in harmony

~*~

===========================================
Inspired by Debbie Guzzi's newest blogs..

I like Hummingbird because of their magical qualities, Hummingbird feathers have long been used for the making of love charms. It is said that Hummingbird conjures love as no other medicine does, and that Hummingbird feathers open the heart. Without an open and loving heart, you can never taste the nectar and pure bliss of life. To Hummingbird, life is a wonderland of delight!

If Hummingbird is your personal medicine, you love life and its joys. Your presence brings joy to others. You join people together in relationships which bring out the best in them. You know instinctively where beauty abides and, near or far, you journey to your ideal. You move comfortably within a beautiful environment and help others to taste the succulent nectar of life.

If Hummingbird has flown into your life today, get ready to laugh and enjoy the Creator's many gifts. Drop your judgmental attitudes and relax. Hummingbird will no doubt give you a flash of the spirit, darting here, there, and everywhere. Get ready for a strange new burst of energy which may send your senses reeling.

Hummingbird hears celestial music and is in harmony with it. Hummingbird may invite you to an art museum or a concert. Follow Hummingbird and you will soon be filled with joy and experience a renewal of the magic of living!

Premium Member A Kiss

What is it about a kiss
that tantalizes the heart,
while filling the soul with bliss?

The pleasure of it is such
that it begs intimacy;
a feeling beyond mere touch.

It's how humans convey love,
augmenting reality
with passion poets speak of.

It's a smoldering embrace
that ignites flames of desire;
melting the fabric of space.

Healing hurts with its magic;
it makes small pains go away,
and bigger ones, less tragic.

It's a sensual caress,
physically imbuing
feelings; souls need to express.

It is like a promise made;
a symbol of your love and
an emotional band-aid.

Premium Member Grace of Bounty

They sway with harvest moon of lemon gold
corn tresses brush a meadow, winding deep.
Light touches Celtic bonfire on soft night,
a sacred trance to usher new morn’s rise.

In throws of petals, lime, and herbs, they whirl
caressed by nature god within the breeze
as rounds of anklets flicker in throbs of dance,
where starry fragrance blooms in a rare chant.

And in the midst of prayers climbing high
the heated whispers speak in psalms... ray bursts.
Now holy fog and bright of moths, all's one
till clay meets fire in tender-blending eve.

Then gladness crown these ladies singing dreams
with heat so warm that drifts on faces...lit.
When silence only glows and yields the crops,
imbuing grace of bounty, food to share.

Sunlight Through the Window

Sunlight Through the Window

Penetrating the fog, one winter morn,
Sunlight streamed through the window and fell on the floor,
A slanted rectangular space did the rays adorn,
Gradually spreading into the room through the open door;

Ray's of hope, of life's enduring dream,
Filled the room with songs of the Eternal Dawn,
The mind sailed with the light's beckoning stream,
Past the walls and high above the adjoining outside lawn;

Above the buildings, the mind soared and flew
And above the rooftops, now bathed in glorious light,
With the birds that sailed with winds free and true,
Showered by heavens' resplendence so bright;

Far into the heavens where the sun beams above,
The mind wandered in hallowed domain,
Imbuing peace and harmony as a silent dove,
In the lighted room, the messages of love and peace to humankind remain.

Spring Time

How lovely lies this gentle season's face,
upon the fields and plains that fore were cold.
her sway turns winter scenes to days of gold.
Renewing life for trees and kind with grace,

Now she adorns tall mountain peaks with lace
oft melting snow that glisten streams of old
This breeze that rustles sylvan glades untold
returns to home the geese of former place

The ocean's fury quiet close to shore,
responds in like to sweet Elysian dreams
The sailor keeps appointment times once more,
and trawlers ply their trade again as yore
Springtime with great imbuing force it seems
can tame the wildest ocean scene of roar

Premium Member To Appreciate Nature

To appreciate nature;
watch the sun gild peaks of white.
And glistening ice crystals;
form dazzling jewels of light.

See marshmallow clouds float on
a vista of liquid blue.
And view a scarlet-sunset
imbuing a crimson hue.

Watch emerald jungles form
a sash of tropical greens.
And beige sands transform deserts;
into dunes of shifting scenes.

See sparkling sapphire rivers;
running freely, clear, and clean.
And the rich, mossy tones;
where trees yield to evergreen.

Watch waves of aquamarine;
capped with foamy, frothy brine.
And crystalline fields of ice;
morph into sheets of sunshine.
