Best Hollies Poems
Fluttering beneath the newly cut
Festive green hollies,
Decked out with heaped drapes
Of freshly fallen snow,
A bold little red breasted Robin,
Busily searching,
Cheerfully hops to and fro.
Darting between the soft, swirling
flakes
Of unique crystalline, driven without
respite,
He alights upon his sheltered
perch
And begins to shrilly trill:
Against the on coming, long
Drawn out Christmas night.
For the drawing darkness is
deepening,
Whilst the harsh wind blows so chill;
And, gently waking
From nonsensical dreaming,
I harken to the old dog Fox,
As, barking, he pads on down
Through the gorse strewn hill.
Suddenly stirred from dozing
Idleness,
As the charred log shifts and
settles in the grate,
I recall with vivid fondness:
Some old memories, good times,
The well meant promises
I did so earnestly to undertake.
Of old acquaintance...
Not forgotten,
And those that were
Or are no more,
Of circumstance and friendship:
And of they
That daily come
To pass through my open door.
But now the flames from the fire,
Dancing in the frosted window
panes,
Are calling for the poker
So I may stoke the blaze again;
For turning my warming back
Upon the locked out winters keep...
I hear that steadfast little Robin
Sing once more -
As I fall back into uncontested sleep!

There was talk about the nuclear bomb
There was a war going on in Vietnam
It was on the news, the drummers were drumming
Look out America, the British are coming
We couldn't wait to turn our radios on
To hear Paul and Ringo, George and John
What could make you feel more alive
Than to rise in the morning to the Dave Clark Five
To be part of it was so much fun
With Eric and "The House of the Rising Sun"
Music sent from heaven above
Peter and Gordon "A World Without Love"
There was Peter Noone and Herman's Hermits sound
While Petula Clark took us all "Downtown"
The country went wild when Donovan hit the stage
Tom Jones and Dusty Springfield were part of the rage
Oh Lord one day please take me back
To hear Marianne Faithful and Cilla Black
The Rolling Stones conquered every city
And Manfred Mann sang "Do Wah Diddy"
The Kinks and Troggs took us for a whirl
The New Seekers sang about "Georgy Girl"
British fashion was everywhere
And the Zombies told us "She's Not There"
Now James bond was doing some super spying
Gerry said, "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying"
Freddie and the Dreamers sang "I'm Telling You Now"
The British had conquered America somehow
The Searchers, The Hollies, meaningful words
Chad and Jeremy, don't forget the Yardbirds
If there was a way we could do it again
We'd have another invasion like we did back then.
If you weren't there, it might be hard to understand. The music had meaning
with political statements and social statements written between the lines. the
young were actively involved and the apathy that exists now was hard to find. The
fun music was fun music and the message music set a tone for a generation. It
was a great time to be growing up in spite of the turmoil in the world, a world we
thought we all could change. Times change, sometimes not for the better.

Silent raindrops trickle
down her window-pane
on a frosty winter day.
Red-breasted cardinals
tweet in distance
as children ride the sleigh
Smoke ascent from chimney-tops
amid shrubs and evergreens
Leaves leap through the wind
in chase of distant dreams.
Waltzing swans in calm streams
touching beak to beak
Squirrels in their grey nests
playing hide-and seek
Grandma baking apples
with cinnammon and spice.
Young lady thinking of him
Snow angel with warm eyes.
An old oak wooden cabin
filled with laughter and liquor
The flicker of a candle
shows her,he's still there.
A hush-hushed tender whisper
'neath harp strings of the moon
Calls his arms to hold her
as crimson hollies bloom.
A cheerful song of Christmas
shared between two hearts
A mistletoe , proposals
They've kissed to never part.

Behind A Brothers Bond
Always there amidst your decussate despair, behind the wall of sleep
A heart to share with your ensuant err, comforting your wall of weep
A simple soul to make you healthy whole, a brother in my heart I keep
In their goal with a rationed role, they are the guardians of their sheep
With a brothers bond there’s a quick respond, a strength we may reap
Never conned with a giving spawned, a brother’s love in a divers deep.

As the sun comes up golden bright
Like orange marmalade
Exposing raindrops on roses
And droplets that cascade
Soon the hot sun will dry all traces
Of the rain upon the Hollies
But now the roosters rejoice in voice
And tell morn's sweet stories
The artist painted wispy white
Mingled in with the sky-blue
And diamonds sparkle 'pon the grass
Heaven scent precious dew
A morn to bask in the Savior's love
Enjoy a few moments
Listen to all nature sing songs
That are truly Heaven sent

Play violin,Play Solitude
Play the note of broken voices
Eternal eclipse of my soul
Why am i still hoping?
Last night held a dream
the colour of a sunrise
the fragrance of a jasmine
and the beauty of a child
Another year awaits
cold snowflakes in my porch
the fluttering wings of
red breasted cardinals
by the window-pane
lit candles on a tree
and carols in the street
Another year i walk barefoot
to the Cathedral
Another year i kneel
Without my faith in God
Another year i return home
to a silent cradle
to a wooden rocking chair
which makes no creeking sound
Another December
blooms with red hollies everywhere
But not here
Here between the still digits
of the clock
all there is are petals
of withering chrysanteniums
Here,Santa never visits
and Halloween never ends.

Behind the window-pane I stand
rubbing mist away
From a distance I watch them
holding hands
as Santa Clause pass by
upon his Christmas sleigh
Slow,So slow they walk
towards a mistletoe
He removes the veil
which covers her grey
beneath the falling snow
He kisses deep wrinkles
which outline her cheek
Each wrinkle a blessing
before eternal sleep
On a Holy night of Winter
they must be feeling cold
yet in their eyes
a fire keeps burning
of a secret untold
Their eyes tell a story
Their arms know romance
Their heart hold a song
Their feet know the dance
In their smile
I see the future I long for
In their dream
I build one of my own
I would be thinking
thinking of you
till the last of red hollies
till forgotten memories
till the end of starlight
I will be waiting
waiting for you.

Light Verse
Flowers affirm my constant love for you.
Sweetheart, prepare to receive these
from January to December:
carnation, violets
daffodils, daisies
hawthorns, roses
buttercups, gladiolus
aster, marigold
chrysanthemum, hollies...
Never will I let oblivion
vanquish my vow*...
So help me, God.

Ruffled brown curls spread even
Like a blanket on your head
A melange of strength and beauty
Smiling body covered by smooching garments
Legs like hanger seeking repose
Questioning burgeoning eyes I see
What's your name I thought you would ask?
Only stares ,steal,stealing me away
Long strong dynamo revving like thunder howling
Hunger quelling passion heat up like a turbine
Working routinely through the hours to bring us close
In safe abode of shelves covered with eyes
Housing buried heads in blank sheets
All you can think of is me
Beneath the facade of what I see dreaming...
The hollies
To bow in reverence
In awe of what is to come
Longing,lost in beautiful languor
I dream to pacify and pacify myself to stop dreaming
Soon the halos would be said in stutters, howling breathe.

HEAVEN WONDERS WHERE YOU'VE BEEN AND YOU ANSWER WITH A SILLY
GRIN. I'VE BEEN MEDITATING ON THE WAYS OF LIFE . THIS IS MY JOURNEY
AND SO FAR, ITS VERY NICE. WE ARE IN THE THROW OF A SWEET NOVEMEBER
AND WE HAVE THE CHOICE TO BLESS THE MEMORY WE OPT TO REMEMBER AND
BRING IT THE ELEMENT OF LIFE AND LAUGHTER. BRING IT HOME TO YOUR SOUL,
THE JOY I MEAN. (B)
SOON THE HOLLIES AND THE BELLS OF CHRISTMAS WILL RING IN THE END OF A
FRUITFUL FULL YEAR. MAKE THE LAST TWO MONTHS BE YOUR HAPPY TIME TO
RECOLLECT AND APPRECIATE THE DAYS THAT HAVE HAPPILY PAST YOUR WAY.
JOIN THE HANDS OF OTHERS WHO LIKE YOU, ARE MORE THEN HAPPY TO BE
IN THE MESH OF LIFE'S BEST INTENTIONS, "BREATHE" INHALE, THEN BREATHE.
LIFE IS LIKE A FLOWER ON A HAT THAT SITS AND WAITS FOR THE WEARER TO
WALK IT INTO THE SUNSHINE. STAND STRAIGHT AND TALL AND BE COUNTED
YOU MATTER TO OTHERS AND TO YOURSELF. LIVE A PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE
AND MAKE LOVE YOUR ARMOR AND YOUR SWORD. WEAR YOUR HAT PROUDLY
AND KNOW THAT NO MATTER WHAT SHADE YOU COME IN, YOUR STILL THE
BEST. (B)
LIFE IS GOOD WHEN WE REMEMBER TO BE KIND TO OTHERS AND TREAT
OTHERS THE WAY WE WANT TO BE TREATED. SHARE YOUR HAT WITH THOSE
THAT HAVE FORGOTTEN THEY HAVE ONE. AND BE GOOD ALL THE TIME (B)

Narrative
The sun fades towards the west
The loving beauty of our star in sunset is expressed
The majestic mountains expanding past horizon trees and beaches that are by sea caressed
All by the divine power behind the sun are blessed
Any time soon
Appears the blue visage of full moon
It illuminates the mysterious dune
Cool breeze carries sea and mountain fragrance in this transcendent night of June
The sea holy is just a small flower yet hand behind it puts in ecstasies
Because as much as sea holy has many copies
There is only one spirit among hollies
That is extended soul and by it formed neural tree has no boundaries
That neural flame and its version of nonlinearity
It is the testament of this spirits adaptability
And its acuity
But there is more to its dexterity
Soul of the just has many windings
Choosing the right destiny is one of spirit’s of dunes blessings
He can decipher the divine writings
And with it his soul will be as pure as one of wellsprings

The Chapel Synagog Mosque and Church
Christianity Judaism Islamism in a lurch
Every one claims their God
Their scripture based on fraud
Each and everyone of their holy script
Copied from a previous crypt
Laws and edict from hollies of men
Seeped in degradation of when
This almighty God chose their congregation
On this rock he would built a religious nation
So men killed men in the name of the Lord
Smite them with his righteous sword
Everyday in the last thousand years
Men die for their religious fears
If today could be judgment day
To that God what would you say

Prose Poetry
I WILL STAND UP AGAINST THE WORKS OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS
STAND UP AND TAKE MY PLACE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD
I WILL STAND UP AND TAKE THE WORDS OF CHRIST AND FEED THEM TO THE LOST
THE WICKED WILL NOT BREAK ME
I WILL STOMP THE HEAD OF THE BEAST AND LAY HIM DOWN BEFORE THE ALTER
SPREAD HIS ASHES OVER THE GRAVES OF MARTYRS
MAY THERE SOULS SING AND CRY TEARS OF JOY
I WILL STAND IN THE GLORY OF THE HOLY OF HOLLIES
MAY MY GOD look down upon me and see a child
He born through the fires of hell but broke through the chains and struggles
Now walking renewed reborn ready and willing
Waiting to lift my staff before my God
And bring the children home to the kingdom of the Living LORD
I stand to look into the eyes of my Jesus
May my name come to his lips
I walk to be a soldier of Christ
I walk to see his blood stained cross
So I may lay at his feet
May his sheep follow without despair
And fall down in faith knowing he is coming
I will stand and not conform to this world
But bow in honor to my king my rock whose words I and others alike stand upon
I am a profit of God
May his words spread from my lips to your ears
May healing come from my hands to your heart
May my dreams and visions ignite fear in the daemons that surround us
I am she who he resides within.
No him, have faith and love in him
Be anxious for his coming
And be washed with us in the spirit which he has called ALL to do

T'was the night before the witness,
Was sheduled to testify,
I was very frightened,
It's possible I could die....
I was accused of shooting
poor defenseless Santa,
And going on a long rant'a
lasting through Christmas Eve,
The jury for some reason,
thought I had something
up my sleeve...
Now, if this wasn't a clear case,
Of breaking and entry,
Then find me guilty,
Cause it sure is beyond me
I mean, come on, soot
came shooting out the fireplace,
Then a red boot dangled,
Practically in my face....
Then this sinister chant,
Ho, ho, ho,
Tell me, how would he know,
If I am a ho?!?
Then he dropped his huge bag of loot,
Just before he hit the floor,
Well, I'd seen enough,
I needn't see no more,
Out came my .22
And let me tell you,
When he spied this,
his cheery looking face,
Was quickly to be replaced
By a crimson red visage,
More in tune with his decoupage,
Now I had a problem,
300 pounds of roly poly jollies,
Lay beneath my hollies
His bulk had smothered my
mantel fire,
That was not to my desire
I was about to dissect him,
And feed him to his raindeer,
When suddenly a siren,
I began to hear....
The cops were soon all over me,
Like wet toilet paper
on a Halloween tree,
There was no means of escape,
At least none that I could see,
Well therefore, in jail I sat,
Booked for something that,
Made me the villian,
to all the children,
When all I was trying to do,
was "chillin"!
Now I stand before the Judge,
I see my problems multiply,
Because the Judge was an ex-elf,
And he'd make sure that I do fry.
