Premium Member A Name For Our Prince
Once upon a time
In a land far away
A Baby was born
On a bright winter’s day

He was a happy baby
His laughter quite the treat
He was perfect from his head
To the bottom of his feet

He was born a Prince
So they wanted a regal name
The Queen called...

Were You There
Were you there in the slaughter of millions,
Did you sail away to the great world war,
Tween 1914 and eighteen,
with the crimson of blood an the gore,

Were you bullied there by the master,
To do your duty once and ever more,
To fight for the Empires...

Premium Member Something Lies Concealed
Reluctantly, I'm ascending stairs. . .
Sensations of a dreadful cold
Permeate my trembling skin.
Through the window the moonlight glares.
My footsteps falter, but I'm growing bold,
And my climb begins again.

Darkness grips me with its wicked claws.
Something lies concealed.
I hear my heart beating frantically;
A dark...

Number of Man
Number of Man
(Webster’s Ninth)

Money trail reveals factor
To assemble humans follow layout
Swat down charges with linguistic racket
Sticks more effective than carrot dangle
Arguments sustained by pundits' jangle
Beached on shallow force Fed truths we paddle

Pedantic pets get paddle
First world states where offspring are a factor
Searching for meaning results...

Crazy
In my day summer fun was crazy!
Malta comes to mind, vivid memories.
Playing water polo in the roughest sea!
Crazy!
Snorkelling on my own, two minutes down,
looking up, fifty foot, gagging!
Worth it, the wonders seen, amazing!
Crazy!
Three times rescued, suffering cramp,
swimming, the worse, with a friend,
we'd swam a bay...

Walking Under the Moonlight
Walking hand in hand
By the distant shore
Sharing life together
Laughter once more

Talking about the good times
Forgetting about the old
Knowing in our hearts
To each we hold

Blessings we share
From day to day
Success is for sure
And, it's on the way

One chapter may be closed
One window may be opened
But, tomorrow...

To My Kettle
Oh, lidded kettle boil me water fast
I cannot live without your heated blast
Your spout is small but perfect for its use
And, as your lid is hinged. it can’t get lost

An electric kettle made by Russell Hobbs
A teapot with a spout and lid with knob
Are what...

Pressing Giles Corey
I am no martyr, no ghost, nor wizard great
They laid rocks all upon me, and again I say
I will not plead, more weight, more weight

I was a farmer, in the spring of Salem late
My wife is to be hanged the following day
I am no martyr,...

Whoever You Might Be
Day and Night I dream
Hoping to see what is out there for me
Yet I wonder if it was ever meant to be
That anyone would be able to see me

That is just another story
But hey, but whom am I to worry
They way ahead is all too...

In the Evening of the Summer
By Betty L. Hobbs

In the evening of the summer
When the sky is so clear
When the stars are so bright
They look so near

I’ll be waiting for the morning
I’ll be singing a new song
For in the evening of the summer
Is where my heart belongs

In the evening of...

A Coming Together
A Coming Together
Of Family and Friends
These times of years
When friends
Stop and call
It's Christmas after all
Christmas Lights
Adorn the tree
As all the presents we see
People open their hearts with joy
On this Christmas Day

Best wishes are given
As with toys the little children play
We seek to know
All of the...

Sweet Lord I Pray
That you will answer
My prayers today
That I will seek
You thru
In all my life
In all I do

I think of you each day
And wish I could see
Your face
The joy you gave to me
Is lost away from me

Oh help oh lord I pray
And lead him to the way
Forever...

The Evening Shadows Glow
The Evening Shadows Glow
Into our minds we know
Captured by the evening mist
With God's Love to consist

Everywhere it's Spring
When in our hearts we live
With peace God gives
In visions of hope

The Evening Shadows Glow
In the cold snow
Where does it go?
Into beauty as life we know

The Evening Shadows...

On That First Christmas
On that first Christmas morn
When the Christ child was born
We celebrate his birth
And worship and praise
And thank god for sending his son to save

On that first Christmas
The beautiful star shined
In the early morn
The day Christ was born
What a beautiful morn
What a wonderful day
The day Christ...

Christmas Carols
Family and friends
Rushing from store to store
And the beauty of the season
Should last forever more

Season's Greetings on a card
And Santa's bells ring
And the Christmas
Carol's sing

Snowflakes twirl
Through the air
As Christmas trees from
The windows stare

Season's Greetings meet the evening
As the children laugh and play
And soon they'll open...
