Premium Member The Littlest Snowman

He scooped and he packed
He rolled me good and round,
When all was done, I stood there
Only three feet off the ground

I had wondered why...
Why did this teenage boy,
Build me up this way
No bigger than a toy?

No bigger than his dog
In fact, we saw eye to eye,
I looked around for answers
And still I wondered why?

Then I came face to face
With an answer that was clear,
When the boy in the wheelchair
Slowly came rolling near

With his teenage brother
Lending him a helping hand,
He placed a smile upon my face
A smile so wide and grand

My eyes, two big buttons
From Grandma's sewing kit,
My scarf, one of their Dad's
Was striped and hand knit

From their Mom's kitchen came
My nose, a long gnarled carrot,
My arms, two maple limbs
From the family's tree I did inherit

My heart, warmed by the boy
The boy who could not walk,
His eyes laughed when he saw me
Though he could not even talk

No prouder stood a snowman
That towered, oh so tall,
Than me, the littlest snowman
The proudest one of all.

Heartwarming Poem

Make the best use of time,
Keep your faith aglow;
While it's still daylight,
Take on a new glow.

You can make it anywhere,
Keep your heart open to a dream;
God's blessings never run dry,
Just hold on to your dream.

In times like these,
Don't wait for good things to happen;
Get your life in shape,
The best is yet to happen.

Whichever way the wind blows,
Serve the Lord with a joyful heart;
Trust God, hope at daybreak,
Standing tall, at day's start.

Even if it takes a lifetime,
Looking ahead, unburdening;
Keep to yourself, after a storm,
Till victory comes shining.

Premium Member The River

The river flows in one direction
Without u-turn
The river will carry away time
The river will carry away youth
The river will carry away love
The river will carry away memory
The river will carry away
Whatsever you dump into it
Unless you try to hold it back
With a heartwarming hug
Unless you save your time
By making good use of it
Unless with a strong bond of love
Love makes people's hearts feel young
Unless with great perseverance and tolerance
True love never dies
Sweet memories linger in our mind
Never to be forgotten
Unless you purposely want to
The river flows in one direction
Without u-turn
Whatsever dump into it
Will be carried away
Will be lost forever
Never to be rescued
And so think twice
Before you give it up

The Moment

Bri and I lying cuddled on the hammock just before night
Looking up to the skies with anticipation of a glorious sight
Watching the clouds travel while creating imagery to view
As we pointed to the artwork created before our eyes anew

Look Papaw! with excited voice she pointed out to me
The perfect teddy bear which she wanted
me to see
It was so: two ears, a nose, and those two precious eyes
Then a puppy dog was formed as the clouds passed on by

Laughing as we were looking for more artwork to form
While making up new things, being silly became the norm
Oh what joy as I held my grand baby just before night
The moment to cherish, while I held her so lovingly tight

More Than a Heartwarming Gesture

i booked this trip
just to see the look
on your face

it sounds cliché, but
your reactions are
priceless

when we get over that
bridge, i knew that i had
made the right choice

it is in the smile of your
voice

during this trip, you forget
that you are a first timer in
a last chance society

you have been working so
hard just to stay afloat for
so many years

despite the pain that your
stomach hernia causes you
at times....you keep it movin'

i felt you deserved to be rewarded
for that

sometimes in life what you do for others
is more satisfying than the simplest of self
satisfaction

i too discover that i have lots left to learn
through the way you carry yourself even in
this paradise

thank God for me not listening to the other
side of my reluctance....i would probably still
be leaving footprints in the collected powder
dust in the corner and feeling sorry for myself

going and being anywhere with you is like
upgrading the prosperity of my overall well-
being and wealth....

Zindadil

A person with soothing expressions,
Lives each moment of the sessions.
Your heartwarming smile,
shines like twilight .
Always aspire to make others feel happy,
With all your joking and wacky.
Wins every controversy with harmonious peace,
Puts our mind at ease.
Lives the life to its full,
Fights all your dearth with soulful.
You are like a burning candle,
Who ends the darkness & be glamour.
When called for gopias,
Become loopy with your thoughts exotic .
Possess pleasant personality,
With a whole hearted reality.
You spread joy and cheer,
We hold you so dear.

Premium Member The Sweetener

As sweet as the coffee with sugar, creamer and milk
Words from the mouth are said
As the well-sweetened coffee is soothing to the taste buds
Words are nice to the ears
And heartwarming to the heart
But too much sweetener will cause toothache
And too much praises may block the melodies of life from the nature
Too much complement may make one proud and lazy

Phoenix

In the streets he roamed, a tiny black kitten,
With three paws, but four legs, his spirit unwritten.
Found by kiddos concerned, their hearts touched by fate,
They scooped him up gently, his rescue innate.

With eyes full of wonder, a soul pure and bright,
This little feline brought hope, like a guiding light.
A new home he found, amidst love and grace,
A family embraced him, his heart found its place.

Phoenix, they named him, a symbol reborn,
A testament of strength, through darkness he'd worn.
His ebony fur shimmered, like a midnight's delight,
His presence enchanting, a mystical sight.

His purrs filled the air, a soft lullaby,
As he curled up content, under starry sky.
His three paws didn't hinder, his playful endeavors,
He leapt with such grace, as if wings he'd discovered.

From lap to lap, he'd prance, a bundle of joy,
Bringing laughter and warmth, no sadness could destroy.
In this newfound haven, his spirit thrived,
He taught them to cherish, to truly feel alive.

And so, little Phoenix, the tiny black kitten,
With his mismatched limbs, he'd continue to brighten.
His journey, a tale, of resilience and love,
A reminder to rise, like the sun above.

Mister's Cat

He said he never liked any cat.
I always knew far different than that.
Kikipoo was her name.
He looked at other cats with silly shame.
She always slept in his bed.
Kikipoo was always well fed.
I can recall him telling she is a cat.
He always felt she was somehow better than that.
They lived together for so many years.
When her passing came..
He shed many tears.
He now is up there somewhere too.
I know he is sleeping with Kikipoo.
