Premium Member Upbeat Day Ahead

I hail each bronze, red, and blue coloured dawn,

as pulsing heart mould torch flame of bliss,

to gaze across some awestruck mint sprig lawn,

that golden birthright never goes amiss

Eye beam urban verve one duly savours,

coruscating joie de vivre street life,

bursts of swift dash coffee’s hazel flavours,

cell-phone upbeat day ahead hubbub rife

Blue robin high pitch chirp from chimney top,

sets the tone for morning wonders brightly,

activate those spark prompt hunches nonstop,

schedules met in narrow windows tightly

In suburb or in city centre fair,

skies and pavements segue with deft flourish,

your dreamland ticket ace broad daylight flair,

groundbreaking spurt fantastic, let us nourish

Dynamic itch to stray amid blind alley,

lurk within some parboiled notion latent,

steel clad zone that mosaic sculpted tally,

animated focus me the claimant

Premium Member Autumn Storm - Collaboration With Chris Green

Trees outside are raging
anger screams through
branches down to leaves
twigs chastise twigs
     As bark grumbles
     rough emotions
     suppressing the trunk
seeking the root of the problem
          Burrowed deep between toes
          of saplings
          treasures hide
          or terror manipulates
     Trembling in the darkness
     earthen enclaves
     soiled decisions pending
     new growth awakenings
               Tentatively tentacles
               reach and entangle
               twine and talk
               awareness grows stronger
Groundbreaking visions;
appear as sunlight
warms this destination
and life again begins

Premium Member I Might Try Some Alternative News

Bring me reality, spare the insanity; preening and vanity
Do.! Its purpose I’d rather gather not
Twaddle and flatter; For ..!!
Really I’m open of view.’ I don’t want TV Docs
I want info that rocks’
Can I see some groundbreaking news?
Not acres of smiles, subterfuge and all wiles
I’d really like fair enough news,
It’s all panstick and slapstick and soundbites
And asterisks’ not to mention a grimness
That’s part of the brew, it seems the
Devil’s own cauldron is stirred to a fault
On the screens that are owned by a few
Do you think there might be?
Something better to see,
Have you ever thought
That there could be? an antidote to suggestion
Of gloomy dimensions, surely
It might just so be?
Not just medics with millions
With their bosses owning zillions
Who paid for their very degree?
Remember GMO in your food from Monsanto
But I guess; that’s already old
News … a week’s not a long time in your view; or maybe mine?
But in some circles, it’s a vital in-tu; intuition.. Revision in the dark
Winter tradition' ya’ know maybe it’s all doctored views?
Hey no smiling or laughing or back slapping,
Singing or dancing.
Unless you are in on the ruse.

Groundhog Day

A groundbreaking weather struggle has evolved today

over the length of this Year,s chill

Early Spring said Staten Island Chuck

forecasting through the muck

whilst he was disparaged as a quack

by Puxstawney Phil

Whichever rodents predictions fits you best

it might be time to second-guess

whether Puxstawney Phil and Staten Island Chuck

need to take a new meteorologist test!

I Am Not a Politcian

I am not a politician
I have very little interest for politics
Reminiscing on Diddy’s vote or die campaign
Rallying behind Senator John Kerry Wishing I were old enough to vote
My how things have changed
Obama’s groundbreaking history was scarecrow

No brainer enticed me/I had to cast a ballot
I am still not a politician/I have very little interest for politics
Ruled by Caucasian Republicans and house niggas
Who don’t care about helping the poor
Or restoring a nation/ That seen the horrors of 9/11
Troops who went to war and never returned home

An economy that has knocked down
Some who were atop the financial ladder
To paper or plastic/Cheese with that whopper
Foodstamps and free Medicare benefits
Naive in a way when it comes to our leaders presidency
But I’ve seen the effort Healthcare among other bills
Met by Congress with resilience
A potential government shutdown that threatened
To send us to a modern day great depression

Insults being thrown at the first lady/Quicker than Randy Johnson’s fastball
But hey I’m still not a politician/I have very little interest for politics
Politics that haven’t seem to get past/ Obamas brown skin
The fact that the man be balling/Like he Jim Jones
Tinted lips from blazing Newport cigarettes and herbs Im sure
He is too much of a nigga /And they hate that ****

But what I think they hate the most/Is he's a polished nigga
With a Harvard degree, articulates well
And as Katt Williams so eloquently put it/He has no baby mama drama
He deserves the respect of his colleagues
**** it that he's swagged out like ya favorite rapper
Wears skinny suits and has a strut/
That puts Eva, Tyra, and Naomi to shame
He's a boss, Rick Ross

See this is why Im not a politician
I have very little interest for politics/Rather Im politically correct
Or politically incorrect/Never said I was a politician
My interest for politics lies in the lines of this poem/
Swaggarack capturing America's #1 terrorist
Left him deceased/On that Donald Trump they wanna see a death certificate
Spoof video, you wasn’t messing with Barack's Dougie
No way can I be interested in corrupt politics
Stomaching politicians with no morals
Reiterating again I will never be a politician
And despite my rundown of unjust riddles
I still have very little interest for politics

Memory of Youth

Chuckling coy damsels lurked behind iron curtains,
And eyed the prodding boys in the plodding streets,
Hunting hearts, beat when love is in the air,
And consummated by the raging fire of passion,
Colliding and swelling mounds of groundbreaking motion,
Shielding and shedding the core coiling emerging
   volcanoes,
A testimony to gyrating and spinning sinful
   world.

Collapsed Pedestrian Bridge

The new 950-ton bridge would beat

Harry and Meghan

America provides a future princess
a leading light, now our superstar
Harry she did certainly impress,

A fairy tale wedding in the making
time to be happy, celebrate, rejoice,

The Message

What an occasion – a Washington inauguration,
A second one of the first US President,
Of color. The occasion more than merely exciting,
        Memorial,
	Historic,
	Groundbreaking!

A Chi-Town girl of color,
A participant, an honoree:
She was –
       Young,
       Gifted, and
       Black.
She went home, to be heard from never again,
Gunned down,
Like stalked prey.
In the street.
The reaction? We shook our heads:
“What a shame”.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

A Chi-Town man,
[Three] decades long,
	Taught,
	Encouraged,
	Molded,
	Hugged,
	Excited,
Dozens of Chi-Town’s kids,
His/Their work, discipline, talent,
Exposed nationally,
Their Angelic voices,
	Exciting,
        Memorable,
	Premiered.

Chi-Town, merely days afterward,
Again,
Enveloped violently; massively.

The message? Evil speaks.
“You can have your pretty talented little back girls”,
“You can have your decades long workers”, . . . but,
I got this!!!
The message? For evil to flourish, all it takes,
Is for many good Men/(Wo)men to do,
Nothing. Alfreda Williamson, ©9/20/2013

When the Heart Bleeds

When you know all but can do nothing
When the essence of life seems to be questioned
When it appears the answers are crystal clear
But holding on to the solution is problematic
It means you're in a transitory phase

When your heart is being ripped into pieces
And bleeding you endure every passing moment
When thoughts of your loved ones
Turn into impulses for heartbreak
It means you're learning something new

When you know all the chords of an instrument
But can play no music
When you know all the right words
But cannot articulate your language
It means you've got a critical lesson to learn

When those closest to you turn their backs against you
And you are cognizant of your faults
When there is nothing left of your social life
But you try every now and then to smile
And you make an effort to brighten up someone
Then you're indeed growing within

When your creed which you uphold sacred
Is used against you
And for moments you feel you are the devil himself
Then you have lessons to learn

When your main weakness
Is used as bait to mollify your pain
Yet you budge not
Then you have grown a bit stronger

When all forces seem predestined to oppose you
Yet you stand firm to fight for the truth
Then my dear friend, you're indeed special
And you should endure the searing flames
Shaping you for the groundbreaking task ahead of you
Because you owe that to God, to the world and to yourself.

A City of Refuge

A CITY OF REFUGE

We’re building a city of refuge;
May all who come to it see
That Christ is the hope of salvation,
The answer for mankind is he.
May its walls be the walls of protection
From the forces of evil outside;
When anyone comes to our fortress
May he know he’ll in safety abide.
May its lights be the lights to the world,
May they glow through the darkness of sin,
May they shine with the truth of the gospel
To each lost soul who would enter in.
May its floors be like paths men may follow,
May they not be a confusing maze;
May each speaker who comes to the platform
Tell clearly and simply God’s ways.
May its organ be filled with God’s music,
May the singers sing clearly the words,
May the anthem that sounds from the people
Be the truth that will always be heard.
May its tower reach upward to heaven,
May all who will see it then know
That this temple of God here is standing
As a hope in a world full of woe.
Yes, we’re building a city of refuge,
And we pray as we meet here this day
That each person who comes lost or lonely
Will go out on a different way.

Dedicated to the First Church of God on Refugee Road at their groundbreaking ceremony.

In the Moment

Its in that moment when
Like the words of a legend
Nothing else can compare
To the way that I am loved past my pain
Accepted with my flaws
And asked if I need more

That perfect moment
I get high on affection, that's perfection with no flaws
I am floored...
In that moment when your joy is my smile and with yours my world is alright
I am captured, caught up in the rapture of something so
Earthshaking, so groundbreaking completed by the act of love making
I am taken...
Fulfilled
Nourished by you, me and how we flourish
Oh that sweet moment
I love how we own it

What is this
What kind of love is this
That fine china kinda love, that over the moon kinda love, that
I am yours, you are mine and together we shine kinda love
That over and over again kinda love
That can't get enough
Sent from above type of thing

Three words and the bliss they bring
Its simply amazing
The songz we sing
Together...
In the moment

The Useful Guru

The Useful Guru
Melanie heard of a remarkable man,
with a groundbreaking view on life,
millions of people watched his videos,
learned how to deal with daily strife.
She found herself in a bad place,
her career not going so well,
so she went to him on weekend,
her deep issues, she would tell.
She said,”It’s so hard as a woman,
to get anywhere in this world,
the glass ceiling keeps me down,
they’ll never respect us girls!
I need to know how I should go,
’cause I’m sick and tired of it!
How do I get my six figures?”
Said the guru,”Work hard, don’t quit.”

Jamal was a child of the projects,
no father, bad schools, and gangs,
he’d spent night in prison, more than once,
had been jumped, has his bell rang.
So he went in to find the guru,
to ask him for his advice,
he said,”Man, they’re all out to get me,
make me suffer, live by knife.
A guy like me cannot get ahead,
they don’t like my coal-dark skin,
The Man is determined to suppress me,
it's all over before I begin!
How do I get on out of this place,
I’m tired of the grime and grit.”
Guru said,”Nobody is ‘suppressing, you,
wanna leave? Work hard, don’t quit.”

Russel was born to put on a show,
a magnetic soul on the stage,
he pounded pavement, worked auditions,
but still very rarely was paid.
He found the guru hoping that he
could help him with his career.
He said,”I feel like it’s a circle,
and that I don’t get anywhere.
My friends say I should play ‘the game,’
that it’s how the industry works,
they say I can’t expect my merit
to impress these studio jerks.
But I’m not gonna get on my knees,
not for a part or a bit,
am I a fool just wasting my time?”
Said the guru,”Work hard, don’t quit.”

A reporter came seven years later,
he’d heard of guru many claims.
“Melanie Cox, the big C.E.O.
says you helped her get to fame.
And my buddy Jamal says that you
helped him leave the ghetto.
The actor, Russel Zane, credits you
with pushing him to bigger roles.
So many people are now swearing by
the things they hear you say,
my producers are interested to know
what exactly is you game?
How do you get such great results,
can you tell me your secret?
Guru said,”It’s no damn mystery.
Wanna win? Work hard, don’t quit.”

“Cause there ain’t no other way…”
