Best Good Health Poems
** What’s Torn **
What’s been torn off or away may be
a recurring theme — of dreams or memory —
that nags, popping up unexpectedly
to recall or, for dear losses, again grieve…
The things thieved
from life — as divinely conceied,
like the Amazon forest’s trees —
don’t leave, but remain in a spectral reality…
What’s been torn away
may similarly refuse to leave —
like my calve, cut from my body, will scream,
sending phantom pain in suffered agonies…
What was seized from me on that mournful day,
— sculpted by dancing ballet for a decade,
stayed as I went from anestesized to awake
into a daytime nightmare without any escape…
When life sends us to dire places,
where hopelessness would subjugate us,
God will guard our souls and grace us
with a strength: resounding to the soul…
Left ragged, like having my health fail
in reaching goals, I will feel my heart wail
near breaking, but I refuse to let my faith pale
…believing the prayers of heaven will entail
blessings to help all God’s children prevail.

**an addition to “On Phantom Pain” poem still in progress at this time
Next time you go out in the pouring rain
Be grateful that you can see its beauty
It's selfish of you to ever complain
The blind will never see what you can see.
When you hear thunder that roars in the sky
There are some that will never hear its sound
They will never hear their baby's first cry
Or sounds of nature that are all around.
A walk in the woods or along a beach
Enjoyable things that we all can do
For many these things are out of their reach
They cannot walk or move like me and you.
They get on with life and never complain
Tell me how we can ever gripe again ?.

( I applaud people with disabilities who make the best of what they have.
But I have no time for the ungrateful able bodied who like to moan about the slightest thing, they don't know how lucky they are.)
Good health is life's gift
living well has real purpose
so to be top of your job
then you've plenty of surplus
Good health is life's gift
remember to say thank you
to be in good health is super
for it really feels brand new
Good health is life's gift
eat loads of fruit and veg
such variety so juicy
cutting one up with real edge
Good health is life's gift
stopping these fattened food
keep walking in fresh air
this does you so very good
Good health is life's gift
it's all such real pleasure
to spell one's health capital H
makes one feel it's all leisure
Organic mystery, bated breath
Known causes, uncertain breath.
Systemic matter, wild shields
Cells in order, fated breath.
Corporeal wave, bloody fashion
Tumultuous fissures, captured breath.
Peasant ailing, fortune calls
Civil measures, alien breath.
Shadows cast, a just reward
Mortal wishes, eternal breath.
Toasted glass, healer's gain
Conjured image, phantom breath.
Healthy people you better think twice. While you are feeling so good go out and enjoy your life. I got Type 1 Diabetes when I was 11 years of age. When the doctor came in my hospital room and told me I will never forget that day. Growing up with this illness while you are a kid, is like playing a card game with all of its tricks. I'm almost 40 years old its been 26 years and at some point everyday I still shed a tear. I'm sure all of you out there knows what the saying being a guinea pig is . Well I'm sick and tired of the experiments I just want to live. They removed some of my toe I do 5 shots a day it's not fair my pancreas died and went away. So I feel like a pancreas and it consumes my thoughts all the time because how I take care of myself is rather I live or die.

Jack Sprat and wife Mary, lived in a glory of lemony, chiffon days;
Like maroon birds keep on singing, until the sunset, orange phase.
They were comfy and happy, like a picnic in lavish, emerald grass;
And had a black dog and a calico cat, like red Mars making a pass.
While Jack was a large man, his beloved wife, contrarily, was tiny.
They gardened after church on Sundays, as sweet time went slyly.
At the mauve hour of dinner, they enjoyed each other's company,
As well as a single glass of wine, while the animals played clumsily.
February fawned over early flowers, smiling fondly into sun's face;
As friends came in feathered hats and finery, through jaded grace.
Floating fuchsia clouds were frilly, in futuristic times of red sunset;
And family visited the fun hours. Moon pearls were not falling yet!
They lived in the house of amenity, like living with ones most loved;
And a fireside welcomed evenings, under skies with dyes smudged.
Swift, strawberry seasons were somewhat surprising, and sudden,
On their street of purple sage. Redbirds visited by striking dozens.
Noteworthy navy blue twilights brought nearby neighbors, laughing;
And new night was bejeweled with stars, that were forever flashing.
Frolicksome freesias were in full boom, in pretty, prismatic colors,
In dusky days of dandelion delight, when sun rays crept in shutters.
Rainbow eucalyptus trees enchanted, as if glossing skies had fallen;
When 'strangler figs' wreaked crime after crime, noted by red robin.
Jack Sprat and Mary received bad news, within months of each other!
The doctor placed Jack on a strict diet, so his health would not suffer.
And Mary, who was undernourished, was told to eat more, and often!
She and Jack vowed to obey doctor's orders, like tonic rains of Austin.
Jack began to eat less and lose weight, and Mary made tasty meals;
And gained weight and hale vigor, like when purple sun's colors peel.
'Jack Sprat could eat no fat.
His wife could eat no lean.
And so between them both, you see,
They licked the platter clean.'

Happiness
Is yes expensive
And priceless
Like deep holes
With unequal depth
And odd sizes
Happiness
Ain’t about money
Good health first
And everything else
Happiness
Is how one feels, lives
Dreams and breathes
Happiness
Ain’t about accounts
And assets
Money ain’t
Of course everything
Happiness
Is about good health
To enjoy
Wet and sunny days
Hot, wintry
And stormy seasons
Happiness
Ain’t about power
And strange greed
Happiness
Is not very cheap
Yet low price.

Poster one's good health
Such love master self-control
Will amass great wealth.
I never appreciate my good health
until I get a disease, illness or infection,
Then I pray and wish and hope to get her back.
She flits away, laughing, for she knows
I never appreciate her when she is here.
I don’t even remember she exists
until I get a disease, illness or infection.
Maybe she has a deal with my body
To upset me every so often, so
I will fleetingly appreciate her for
two seconds when I return to good health.
In the market of choices, we're faced with a test,
Between health and affordability, which one to invest?
Fresh fruits and greens, a pricey delight,
While processed snacks and sweets, shine with cheaper light.
The junk food aisles, a treasure to behold,
Cheap and tempting treats, that our taste buds are told.
But at what cost, dear health, do we indulge and play,
Trading wellness for pennies, in a harmful, tasty way?
The irony of economics, that governs our plate,
Where healthy choices are costly, and junk food is first-rate.
But let's not be fooled, by the price tag's disguise,
For good health is worth every penny, and a wise, lifelong surprise.
So let's invest in our well-being, and make a conscious choice,
To prioritize our health, and rejoice in a wholesome voice.
For though it may seem pricey, the cost of healthy living is true,
A valuable investment, in a life that's vibrant, and anew.
