White doves flutter, dying words whisper
Silence becomes haunting and Angels Sing
A lone filtering light of soft glister
Casts fleeting shadows from a white dove's wing
This arrow of light pierces the dusk gray
On my knees, I shall pray for you, my love,
And touch the cold floor where your casket lay
Seeking unanswered questions, from above,
To find no comfort in your final breath.
Forgive me, As I taste this bitter wine
Release me, from a vow I once confessed,
By the shadow of your spirit, I'm blind

Poison drips from a bitter drink I've made,
Brings dark, Silent dark as the cold light fades.

The Rhythm of My Body

I dance when my eyes blink
I dance to touch your soul with an indelible ink

I dance when my heart sings
I dance to give a caged bird its wings

I dance when my soul sobs
I dance to the happiness of the harvested crops

I dance when my spine shivers
I dance to soothe your nerve tremors

I dance when I rise high to the sky
I dance to add glister to your gloomy eye

I dance when I sink to the bottom of the earth
I dance to celebrate the revival of hope on its rebirth.

I dance when my head droops in the darkness of enigma
I dance to the rhythm of the words that give a third degree to dogma.

I dance when my hands tremble in the frozen forest of fear
I dance to provide warmth to the icy days of the calendar year

I dance when my hair strands race through the waves of the air
I dance to the giggles of the roller coaster at the children's fair.

I dance when my fate gets flipped
I dance to outspread the wings of love that were violently clipped.

I dance when your fingers tickle the veins of a flute
I dance to digest the harsh reality of a bitter truth.

I dance when a mother experiences the baby bumps
I dance to wipe the tears of abandoned moms.

I dance when success embraces my best friend
I dance to drive the dunes of disaster away to their far end.

I dance when it rains
I dance to turn the barren land into a green belt of grains.

I dance to my wishes
I dance to my fears
I dance to my smiles
I dance to my tears

I dance to my blood flow
I dance to my inner glow
I dance when I am low
I dance when I lose my show

Dance is in Me
Dance speaks about Me
Dance completes Me.

The Unsupressible

Just because you broke my wings,
Just because you threw thorns in my path,
Just because you cut my throat with your ego,
Just because you gave your best to put me down,

Does it mean you accomplished your mission?

Why are you searching for me in the dark cellar?
Why will I even go to the lonely moor and cry?
Why will you find me in the stillness of the air?
Why will you find my eyes shut under the blanket of the dark winter night?
Do you think you can merrily look for me weeping under the shadows of your strong paws?
Are you shocked for not finding me among the torn pieces of hope?
Are you tired of searching for me in the haunted house of your hostile humanity?
Is it your madness to look for me between the waves of dolour?
Why will I even give you a chance to find me rafting in the river of recession?

Ok let me help you find me.

Trace me in the colours of free flying butterfly
Look up to me in the glory of the rising sun
Find me in the ferocious flight of high rising eagle
Look for me in the light of rejoicing full moon
Find me in the strength of a soldier's muscle
Spot me in the sweetness of the hard-earned bread
Find me in the sweat of an honestly tired face.
Locate me in the glister of the creative mind
Catch me in the confidence and valor of an educator
Feel my presence in the words of an inspiring leader
Fetch me in the smiles of a successful student
See me in the pride of a proud parent.

Instill fear in me, I will come up with a smile
Pierce needles into me, You will see fire in the mirror of my blood.
Put me down to the core, I will rise to the sky with a roar.

Mind YOU!
It's ME
THE UNSUPRESSIBLE.

White doves flutter, dying words whisper
Silence becomes haunting as Angels sing
A lone filtered light with its soft glister
Cast a shadow aloft from a dove's wing
This arrow of light pierces the dusk gray
To my knees, I fall and pray for you love
Touch the small casket where your body lay
And seek questions unanswered from above
I found no comfort in your final breath
Forgive me, as I drink this bitter wine
Release me from a vow before your death
As lost love chokes me with its shadowed twine

This poison turns lips into darker shades
And brings a silent dark as the light fades

Premium Member To Hold Love Close

When love's bright colors turn shades of blue,
Changed by separation, where love will dream
A deep yearning asks the soul to pursue,
Cross eternity as a lonely gleam
Could its soft glister reach you in flight?
Would you hear my soul calling through the mist?
This torchbearer from love's endless blue night
That hungers for your touch I can't resist
When souls connect in this timeless meeting
Find comfort in its sacred bonds of need
To hold lonely times are never fleeting
And dream that this traveler will succeed

How empty the space not filled with yearning
To feel each separation with hearts burning

Neon lights of love
glister from the strobic sphere.
Is my desire abhorrent?

My head, spinning with
each phantasmagoric twirl,
yearns for your adoration.

Premium Member Dear Fall

Dear Fall, amaze us with your colors warm
the brilliant carmine, peach, and tangerine.
Weave a batik with more delicate charm
that glows and glints like lustrous opaline.

Bring the willful winds that chill the stale air.
Blow summer’s heat to our southern sister.
Fill the dry skies with nimbus clouds that flair
and revitalize us with their glister.

Let your winds sing a lullaby good night
while white snows begin to blanket our source.
We will soundly sleep dormant without blight
and let Mother Nature run through her course.

Tomorrow, Where Are You

Tomorrow where are you ?

I am a child of mzansi,
A child of a nation raised by a struggle of apartheid, as I emerge as a wound
Meant to glister, advertising the anguish of my fore fathers
Raised to cease all the nation’s bounty in their name,
As their pain can still be felt through the cracked township tar roads.
I am the promised future,
Born of tireless protests, teargas and blood
Blood washed clean of the judgments of my skin colour
And left to germinate on this waste land called poverty
As mothers fertilise this land one clean toilet at a time.
I am the repressed grievance of the people,
Who’s voice never transcended beyond the ballot paper
Trapped in a subliminal blackmail of before 1994
And feed grand promises of a better tomorrow
As two decades waste way I still ask “Tomorrow, where are you?”

Premium Member A Breath

A BREATH
Remembering the holocaust, deep in the soonest dream
Of a beloved is buried all my hope for you begun,
So I need not wait with oil and cloves to teem
Over the mind of history, or a silver gun –
Or gas chamber with the power on
When thousands surged and left their clothes behind
Bereft of rings and ornament which shone
As the glister of a tear, shedding was too kind -
Not so bitter then, and as a lowered head
Bids goodbye, to a grim life, like the slowing eye
A candle gleam of light will haunt those dead
Who all past passing, can multitudes descry
In one poet living with expectation, thinking thrill was death
Which came, in the last sentence before your final breath.

Premium Member Love Is Lost As the Light Fades

While doves flutter, dying words whisper
Silence becomes haunting and Angels sing
A lone filtering light, a soft glister,
casts a fleeting shadow from dove's wings

As this arrowed light pierces the dusk grey,
on bended knee I pray for you, My love
Touching hard cold floor, where your casket lay
Seeking unanswered questions from above

( The loss of love is far beyond love's means )
( and tomorrow will see the end come true )
( To know depth of sorrow when it convenes )
( When light changes color to deeper blue )

( To bow their heads in open palms and cry, )
( as painful dark begins the day now new )
( Love's last memory fades away to die )
( and hearts now bleeding hide from times it knew )

No comfort did I find in your last breath
Forgive me, as I taste this bitter wine
Release me, from the vow I once confessed,
by the shadow of your spirit confined

( This love once sworn is now of colder mind )
( Desire dissolves leaving a vanquished shell )
( Neither clings to fragments still left behind )
( They search for springs to fill their empty well )

This last drop from the bitter wine I made
Brings dark, silent dark as the cold light fades
( The passing of their moment won't be crossed )
( and the bond between their hearts shall be lost )

The Clock Tower

The clockwork has rusted
Into a stiff modern art statue,
Painted by nature, loathed by the
Masses, and loved by the few.
The gears scream in a failed revival;
The hands quiver, stuck on four and nine.
The Roman numerals no longer
Glister in the night; the bell tolls not.

The sun is frozen in the evening sky;
The moon is lost below the horizon.
The clouds do not change form,
And the snowflakes have stopped their descent.
Humanity carries out its errands,
Unbeknownst to cosmic complications
And the wars that are suddenly infinite:
For the day has now refused to end
And ignorant minds are trapped
In a broken time continuum.
Rages are unconquerable.
Lives are unbreakable,
And some are forever gone.

The birds migrate over impeccably
Calm waters, searching for lands
That are just ahead, but never appear.
Likewise, the sailors are eluded
By the lands, and, sadly, by the fishes.
Yet how can they know of their troubles?
How can they know of something more?
That they are perpetually enclosed?

Where is the oil to ease the metallic pains
Of the beautiful, gothic clock tower?
How will she breathe once more?
How will she sing to the cities?
The bells shall toll no more.

White doves flutter, dying words whisper
Silence ever haunting as Angels Sing
A single beam lights with a soft glister
To cause the shadows from a white dove's wing
This arrowed light pierces the dusky gray
Tethered to Heaven, soul's call from above
Your casket caressed as if to convey
Reveals my clenched fists from your death my love
I find no comfort from your final breath
Forgive me, as I taste this poisoned wine
So I may join you with love I confess
My spirit turns to darkness with this brine
Cloudy drops in this bitter drink I've made
To bring silent dark, my life will soon fade
