The Cry

I can hear the cry of children in Etiopia
dying hungry ,every minute through the time
Whilst I'm at home eating pure beef
filling my glass with redwine

I can hear the cry of homeless,
which lay shivering in the streets
whilst I'm home,right by the fire-place
'neath my blanket,eating sweets.

I can hear the cry of people
Unemployment their new boss
While my work still holds security
Others'dignity is at loss

I Can hear September's cry
How many innocent to die
The Twin towers mark the day
For lost friends I kneel and pray

I can hear a soldier's cry
battling in a dirty war
Politicians state him hero,
whilst the blood still on the floor.

I can hear the cry in Iraq
as civilians get shot down
whilst I'm safe licking the sunshine
driving my car into town

I can hear the cry of Izrael
Palestines in the blue
as borders hold lone teardrops
Peace is a taboo

I can hear the cry of refugees
leaving loved ones and their land
facing rough seas,and wild waters,
Hope awaits a welcome hand

I am on our boat relaxing
when a thought fills up my mind
Hypocrite and burocratic
is this gaya of dark lies

Who am I,What can i do?
 I'm a nobody,just a citizen like you.
I vote for unloyal politicians,
and give them power too.

Ahh!this cry I keep on hearing
of the poor and those at war
Politicians,this I beg you
No more sorrow, please!! NO MORE!! -CHARMA

Manhid

makulit.paulit-ulit lang
ang pag-ibig ko sa’yo.
di nasasaktan.di nadadala
pilit nililimot,lalong lumalala
ang pag-alaala:
sa kahapon
sa ngayon,sa bukas.
ginagamot ng sampal,
batok, sabunot
at buntong- hiningang
walang humpay.
ng sigaw na walang nakaririnig,
kundi ang taong di ko na kilalang
kaharap ko sa malabong
salamin.

kagabi,magkasabwat na naman
ang lamig at dilim;
nanunuot sa bawat
himaymay ng malay,
nag-uunahang manumbat.
parang mga
mga paang nag-aagawang
tumakas at
nangahas dumaan
sa mga lansangan,
at pader na nanunuksong
pangalan mo lang ang alam
isulat.

sa sulok
nagsisiksikan ang mga agiw
at sapot.sariling hagod
ng impit na mga daing.
bahaw na ngiti.
ulang pumatak,
natuyo,tumatak.
sa kawalan,sino ang nawala
at nawalan?
paulit-ulit lang.gaya ng dati.
paulit-ulit lang
ang palabas.
hanggang wala nang maramdaman.
gaya noon.

The Egalitarian

( A Translation of Kazi Nazrul Islam's famous Bengali poem "Samyabadi")

I sing the song of equality,
in which all obstacles and distance are dissolved,
in which the Hindus, the Buddhists, the Muslims
and the Christians have got united.
I sing the song of equality!

Who are you? A Persian? A Jain? A Jew?
A Santhal, a Bhil, a Garo?
A Confucian? A follower of Charbak? Continue. Tell more.
O friend, whoever you are,
whatever books and scriptures you carry
into stomach, on back, on shoulder and into brain,
the Quran, the Puranas, the Vedas, the Bible, the Tripitaka—
the Zend-Avestha, the Granth Sahib—
read as much as you desire.
But why do you waste your labour?
Why are you throwing spears into your brain?
Why do you haggle in a shop when fresh flowers
bloom at your roadside?

The wisdom of all scriptures and ages lie within you.
O friend, open your heart, you will find all scriptures there.
Within you lie all religions, all the prophets of all ages
and your heart is the world-temple of everyone’s gods.
Why do you look for God in the skeletons of dead books?
He smiles into the secret concealment of your immortal heart!
O friend, I have not told a lie—
It is the place where all crowns tumble and toss.
This very heart is the Nilachal, Kashi, Mathura, Brindaban;
It is Bodh-Gaya, Jerusalem, Medina and Kaaba.
It is the mosque, it is the temple, it is the church;
Sitting here, Jesus and Moses found the identity of truth.

In this battlefield, the young flute player sang the Bhagavad Gita;
In this pasture, the sheep-grazing prophets became friends to God.
Sitting in the meditation-cave of this heart, Shakyamuni abandoned his kingdom hearing the call of men’s great sufferings.
In this cave, the Prince of Arabia used to hear the divine call;
sitting here, he sang the Quran’s equality-song.
O brother, what I have heard is not a lie—
there is no temple, no Kaaba greater than this heart.

When Spring Appeared in English, A Classical Hindi Love Song 03

Classical Hindi Nature's Love Song with its English Version.
“When Spring Appeared 03
English Version of the Spring Song-
.
"When spring started appearing,
Shyness appeared gradually,
Every face blossomed,
Then the buds too,
Started spreading its wings,
The spring spread,
everywhere there,
fragrance too began to spread
in the air everywhere.
The butterflies too
opened their wings
and began to hover
here and there. 01
.
I was watching,
mesmerized,
The unique beauty of nature,
Spring was in its glory,
and the music of insects,
Was spreading,
its magical music,
Everywhere there. 02"

Half Love

She did not understand my true love
I did not express my true feelings
as to what she is to me in life
she did not open up to me
nor I did tell her
and it remained
unexpressed
half love

Unhe kadr kahan hamare pray ki
Hamein fursat kahan is baat ki
Ke hum unhe yakeen dilate
Ki wo kya hain hamare
Ye jaan paate
Bus reh gaya
Yeh banke
Ek afsana
Adhure
Pyar

Gaya the Beauty

Gaya the beauty

She is the beauty in heart who is sweety
brightens our day with her smile and speech ,she is the cutie,
fights for friendship dies for fellowship
with all her truth she bring her breath into the world ship.

speechless thoughts of her brought worth
with all her politeness her knowledge is at birth,
joyful river is her smile
for all to behold as they with her at a mile.

Never ending in hospitality
always there to make others to be at liberty,
she the girl being always the pearl
in the land of the living with all her hurl.

Gaya and Luna

You encircled me like a Satellite,
Making my external sway and dance,
In Darkness, you are the brightest light,
Such an enlightened face putting me in a trance.

At times, you disappear, leaving without a trace,
But I can still feel you near, gravity at your distant embrace,
Rarely blushing in anger, leaving me in a daze,
But I shall fear not, as all shall pass in a few days.

Superstition and myth, passing thought without care,
Stories filled my ears to escape from my stare,
Parting with you, such Future, I will not bear,
When my Life is dependent on that Luminous flare.

We were made for each other, Soulmates indefinitely,
I am a part of you and you to me.
Grateful and contented, Cycles unchanging in rarity,
Even when I am ever changing constantly.

Homeless

It’s not always about the person, who does not have the home,
Sometimes it’s about the person who has nowhere to go to.

It doesnot always mean that you have no money
It sometimes means that nobody wants you back

People do still care about you, they show they love you, guide you
But you know the home you left last is not the same now.

It has changed, it has more people/relatives in it
and you will no more get the attention you need
You struggle in this outside world every day in every way
Because you know you don’t want to go to this changed home

It’s no more about the TV or the food or the comfort that home provides
It’s about the call that says- Beta ghar aaja, bahut ho gaya.

And you run towards the home and reach station one hour before
Just because you love waiting for the train back home.

When nobody wants you to come back so you choose not to go back
You know you have become homeless.

Smoking

Smoking

I'm making clouds by smoke
What was the past I remember
Like ashes
Daily my bums sit on to my chair for the answer did you ever cry on our memories
I don't because I don't want
To look for the tears

Tune change

Atut Mitra aur anokhi Mitrata

Kuch baat to hai usme, meri dost hai wo jo mere liye khas to hai
Anya ladkio se alag hai wo kuch usme abhinn andaaj to hai
Ek Sukoon hai usme jo apnapan mehsoos kara, ruh me sama jati hai
Pata nahi kyun uski har ek baato me ek sachai nazar aati hai!!

Uski dosti hai mere lie sathi, har musibat mein saath rhta hai
Meri khushiyo ka safar, use bataye bina adhoora sa lagta hai
Dil se juda nahi, par hai ye dosti ka atoot rishta gehra
Har pal uske saath, lagta hai kuch khaas hai yeh mera!!

Kisi apne ne hi kaha hai, ek dayre se niklo, bohot achhe humse v milenge
Par maine koshish nahi ki, kyun ki karib se dekha hai ki jamana bharam hai
Dil ko choo gaya hai, ek sachha rishta mere sath hai
Daayra chota ho gaya hai, jaha ek dosti ka asli parichay har yaado ka mohtaj hai!!

Ye dosti kuch aisa hai, jahaan roj baat ho ya na ho, par ehsaas hai saath ka
Jahaan no thank you, no sorry, bas zarurat parne pe hota hai yeh pyaara wada sa
Nazar na lage kisi ko, bas ek dar hai dil mein kuch purane risto ka
Dua hai ek ki dosti hamesha kayam rahe, har mushkil mein sath ka izhaar ka!!

Milan De

Saiyan nu milan de aas ae menu,
More saiyan na aave.

Raah takdi akhan bhar aayi ne,
Par khabran koi na laave.

Chann de mukh te rang udaas ae,
Raat vi ruldi jaave.

Dil di har taan udeek di ae,
Par more saiyan na aave.

Sawere di laali bhar aayi ae,
Par umeed di baat na bhaave.

Jadon di keh ke gaya ae challan,
Odo kad na vapas aave.

Janid betha rahan takda deedar de intezar vich,
Sara des te lata waps, sada yaar ya aave.

Tu

Zindagi mein meri bas tu hi tu hai,
Har khwab mein meri bas tu hi tu hai.

Har saans mein jo bas gaya hai khushbu banke,
Us mehka hua jahan mein bas tu hi tu hai.

Mere labon pe tera zikr sada hai,
Mere har qissa-e-gham mein bas tu hi tu hai.

Chaand ke saath jo guftagu karun raaton mein,
Wahan bhi mere lafzon mein bas tu hi tu hai.

Jahan nazar uthaoon, tera chehra dikhta hai,
Har manzar ke rangon mein bas tu hi tu hai.

Zindagi mein meri bas tu hi tu hai,
Har khwab mein meri bas tu hi tu hai.

My story

My Story
Kese bayaa karu ye dard dil ka
                                     hota koye asa kass!
jo samjh sakta mere jasbaat
                                  may ye socha karti thi...
fir hua akk asa chamatkaar...
                                   achanak akk ajnabi aaya
mere maayush jindgi me
vo tha to paraya par dil ne
usse baat karke anokha sukoon paya
dheree dheree usne mujhe mohhbat karna sikhya
mere andhere dil me pyar ka deep jalaya
mujhe kese khass apne ka ahsas karaya
phir mere jindgi me bhi
                               khushiyoo ka vasant aaya...
par sayad mere kismt ko
                               ye sukh rass na aaya
uski jindgi me achnak koye hai aaya..
bich me chod gaya vo anjan sa sayaa
phir bhujh gaya pyar ka vo diya
jo tha mere dil me usne jalaya
har dard ko sah kar myne usko bhulaya
par har baar mere hothoo par
myne uska he naam hai payaa
mere har dhadkan dhadak rhi hai uski didar me
akhir kyu vo jakar bhi
mere jindgi se jaa na payaa
aaj bhi myne usse apne
                             aas pass hai payaa......
