Best Friendshipfriend Poems

What Is a True Friend

A true friend will stick by you,
through thick and through thin,
They will help heal your heartaches,
and help when you sin.

A true friend will be there,
where ever you might go,
If you're ever in trouble,
they are the first one's to show.

A true friend will never judge you,
they keep you strong when you're weak,
If you're ever down on your luck,
they will wipe your tears when you weep.

A true friend will be there,
if you stumble and fall,
when you need someone to talk to,
they will answer your call.

A true friend won't walk away,
they will always be in your heart,
if their a friend they will be there,
and always have from the start.

Everyone needs a true friend they can always count on.

My Friend

My Friend

Friendship
Is something you make
And do not take

Friendship
Is something you give
In order to live

Friendship
Is something you need
To learn and succeed

Friendship
Is something so strong
That it can’t go wrong

Friendship
Is something between you and me
So solid that it will always be

So my friend
This is why I say
Even in the toughest times
My friendship will stay

Because a friend like you
I will not find
Even if I live
A hundred times

Define a True Friend

What is a true friend in your mind?
Is it someone that sticks with you to the end of time?

Someone that’s honest and true to your face?
Someone that is your saving grace?

Or maybe the person that just lends a hand.
During a time of need and helped you stand.

How about the one that just lends an ear,
And offers their shoulder for all your tears.

The time you got in trouble with no way out.
Who was there beside you, as if you had a doubt?

A true friend can go beyond a person in your life.
Like your pet dog Sam that you cry to at night.

Or it could be a cat that’s been with you for years.
There to keep you safe and warm through all your fears.

They don’t understand. They don’t know what’s wrong.
All they know is your needing them and that’s where they belong.

True friends are needed everyday in life.
To make it though life’s toils and strife.

Without them we are nothing just creatures of the world.
These relationships make us human so I’ve been told.

This is my definition of a true friend.
Someone that will stick by you from start to end.

Best Friends

our friendship will be forever, even if were 1 hundred miles
or a million miles away.
nothing will change,i will always watch over you.
i will always be your best friend forever.
even if your mad at me or you just don't care about me.
i'll be there for you.
even if i make it big some where,i would never forget you.
even though we had very hard times in our lives.
we made through right,we made it through together.
i thank you for being a friend to me.
thanks

Fields of Bluebonnets

Off in the distance are fields of blue.

A beautiful wild state flower for Texas through and through.
Once called a Buffalo Clover, but now a state flower.

An Indian Paintbrush every now and then, but most of all are,
Fields of Bluebonnets growing once again.

For the Yellow Roses of Texas are pretty, yet they do not compare
to the Bluebonnets of Texas with colors to share.

My friend Polly painted a picture that hangs upon her wall.
It is a masterpiece to us all.
For she has captured the Bluebonnets within her minds eye, put it on canvas, and
it is as beautiful as a lullaby.

She said oh yes those Fields of Bluebonnets of Texas, for they are as beautiful as
can be.
The fields of Bluebonnets come up every spring.

As my one-hundred and five year old friend spoke to me, it was like the next title
to be.
The fields of Bluebonnets began calling to me.

For the only thing as beautiful to me is my friend Polly and the Fields of Bluebonnets
of Texas in the early spring.

lay your head on my shoulder
feel free to cry, but know I care
if you shake, I will steady you
if you fall, I’ll lift you

dependability and loyalty
my most valued qualities
never ignoring a friend in need
          always offering reassurance

the nicest thing ever said to me:
“What you see is what you get”
no pretense, no delusions of grandeur
just a friend who has your back

wealth and fame I do not seek
but crushed I’d be
     devastated if I weren’t there
         when a friend required help

Humanity Insanity

Humanity Insanity
What’s the difference between humanity and insanity?
The insane is a unique version of the membrane
The insane play by themselves
Like the last toys on the shelves
The ones with defects
But with the right love and care they work just like the perfects
The soldiers march
The dolls spin
When will I get to see you again?
My friend from within
Where have you gone
Its been so long
No one understands me like you do
We were a perfect pair
number one and two
Now your lost
Please come back to me I need to talk
Youll be my friend
Until the end
I hope you don’t betray me
I hope you don’t slay me
Im not a dragon
But I am sure braggin
About my best friend
You
My number two
We go together like chick and peas
I bless you when you sneeze
Youll be with me til im dead
To bad your just a friend
In my head
But with my imagination
And my creativity you will be free
I will free you from within me
We can laugh we can cry
Well say hello but not goodbye
Cause my best friend you
My number two

Premium Member A Limerick For a Friend

I once had a friend like you
And I knew her friendship was true
We always had so much fun
Telling each other everything under the sun
Of all our secrets and everything we would do

But you know that friend who was like you
She did another thing that you like to do
She went and told just about every one
Of all the things I had ever done
I was so surprised of the way she was untrue

I bet you didn’t think these things I knew
Would ever be found not even a few
But you see I know what to look for in a person
It’s to know that no one is true with their own emotion
So you see everyone tells someone of the things they do

A Friend I Am!

FRIENDSHIP IS WORTH WEIGHT IN GOLD,
IT'S AS WARM AS THE SUN'S RAYS.
YOU NEED A FRIEND, I AM HERE FOR YOU,
AS WE COMMENCE OUR PEN-PAL DAYS.

FRIENDSHIP MUST START FROM A SEED,
AND AS TIME GOES BY IT WILL GROW.
AND ONE DAY IT WILL BLOOM WITH COLOR,
AND IN OUR WRITING IT WILL SHOW.

IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME,
TO HAVE A FRIEND WHO'S INTERESTED IN ME.
EVERYONE NEEDS A FRIEND,
A FRIENDSHIP LOVE THAT'S MEANT TO BE.

I'M A MAN WITH GREAT COMPASSION,
AND I HAVE FRIENDS FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE.
I HAVE CHANGED TO BE THIS MAN,
AND WORKED HARD TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT.

IT'S AN HONOR, A FRIEND I AM.
AND FROM THIS DAY FORWARD YOU'LL KNOW,
THAT I AM SINCERE INDEED,
AND MANY MORE FLOWERS WILL GROW.

WE CAN SHARE OUR FAVORITE COLORS,
WE CAN SHARE CREATIVE IDEAS.
WE CAN CRACK A FEW JOKES,
AND BUZZ AROUND LIKE BUMBLEBEES.

WE CAN SHARE OUR FAVORITE MUSIC,
MAKE UP A SONG OR TWO.
AND I KNOW BY SHARING WHO I AM,
I'LL HAVE A FRIEND IN YOU.

SO DON'T STOP WRITING, MY DEAR,
IT'S NICE YOU CARE ENOUGH TO WRITE.
HAVING FRIENDS IS LIKE A RAINBOW--
IT'S SO COLORFUL AND BRIGHT.

Arrive Alive

That's not my elephant!
The big grey one, standing in the middle of the room.
That's not my elephant, is that what I was thinking,
What I was thinking when I let her leave?
I knew I shouldn't have let it happen; she should have stayed the night.
Ella, my dear friend Ella, gone all because I didn't have the guts to take her keys.

Back when we were little, just barely 2nd graders,
We would to talk about how we would grow old together.
Best Friends Forever.
We would stay at each others places every night,
We has so much in common.
Favourite colour: purple, favourite number: 4, favourite food: spaghetti.

How would I, How could I let her leave when I knew her condition?
We had been drinking all night?
Why hadn't I remembered the bill of rights?
The First Amendment - Freedom of Speech.
Why was I afraid to talk?
Why hadn't I just said "you're staying the night"?

I have a pull out couch, where she could have stayed.
Even my bed, in which she could have laid.
Ella, my dear friend Ella, I will miss you forever,
and I'll never forget.
Next time a friend plans to drink and drive,
I'll take their keys or call a cab.
To make sure that unlike you, they'll
Arrive Alive.

Forgive Me Please!! My Dearest Friend--

Oh! Dearest Friend standing far apart…
With anger and hatred in your heart
I regret what I did to you…
And all harsh things I said to you…

I realize now and repend….
To have lost you as a friend …
What a treasure I have lost....
A true friend with a golden heart!!!

Forgive me please...my dearest friend ...
Can we start....all over again?
Come back to me, my dearest friend....
I want our friendship back again.

Your special place in my heart,
Now lies vacant with you far apart,
It lay empty from the time you went
No one could fill it ever again.

My eyes long to see you,
My ears long to hear you
Oh ! My dearest friend….
How much I miss you!!!

The world is false…
Only your friendship was true....
Now all I ask…
Is forgiveness from you…

He's More Than Just a Friend, { He Is the One} 1

The pressure and pain in each other's family of another friend that slips away and now
you find yourself in need of someone to talk too. And in each family and every of the
thousand's that you thought was your friend is never the same. "He's more than just a
friend". When one need to be uplifted and the need of the same thousand seem some-
what drifted, the one that truly is in need gets lost in the shuffle. And that shuffle is re-
onerated by one's pride and greed, that same someone shall never have the proper
necessitie's too satisfied that need. The Lord Jesus Christ promises friendship mix with
courtship would always equal a divine relationship. "He's more than just a friend", for I
once was lost but now I am found, the one's in need of an uplift will not find it, because
the idiosyncrasies we compound in our live's is due to the burden's that we allow to keep
us down, we turn to someone who we thought was that friend, only to be disapointed time
and time again, the price of which is discarded by the poor. "He's more than just a friend,
maybe that's him you hear knocking at your door". If that be him....then let him in, a
friend indeed is he, clousure than any somebody that you will meet having church on any
street. Muhummed nor Buhda can be your friend. For they were not annoited on the
criteria of love nor do their belief's allow's being friendly to folk's that marches to the beat
of a different stroke. Now if you are still in need of a friend and you're not ashame to
call upon his name. (Call Him) He would come to you from all direction. Just believe, on
that day of ressurection, more than just a friend got up and got out, SHOUTING!!.."All power is mine".
"So now all everyone". "COME"
And meet a real true friend. Believing on Joseph and Mary's - Son. {He is the One}.

Premium Member Helen My Best Friend

Helen is hysterical, so witty you laugh until you cry,
She’s a little spit-fire, 4 foot 11 -- a bit of a short fry,
Now I can say that because she knows it’s said in jest,
There is no finer person, as a friend she is truly my best.

We met while nursing where we had so much fun,
Managing to laugh at work yet still get the job done.
While we have switched jobs and moved to a different place,
We are only as far away as it takes to pack our suitcase.

At my Mom and Dad’s funeral I was lost and very sad,
She sat by my side, filling in as family that I no longer had.
Always there in my life for the very best and worst of times,
If I need her, she gets to me, over obstacles she climbs,

Following major surgery she came to nurse me to health,
Her kindness, compassion and care, is her greatest wealth
She babysat my children and made my favourite meal,
Kraft dinner and homemade applesauce, oh what a deal.

She said I needed a pick me up, so she bought hair dye,
Slowly applying the hair colour, careful not to get in my eye.
When my hair went purple and ended up a flashy, brillant red,
She said you don’t need a mirror, just know you don’t look dead.

Our husbands understand our bond, having been through so much,
We never miss a birthday, Christmas or any reason to stay in touch,
I sometimes feel guilty as it seems she is always there to help me,
She’ll say “Oh don’t be so silly, it’s just because I love you Lee”

I never feel so good as I do when I am with my friend Helen,
Together we’ve nursed patients and even the occasional felon,
We met on my first nursing job and she became my best friend,
Some forty years later, our longtime friendship still has no end.

Friendship

What is a friend? you may inquire,
Someone who is close, someone you admire;

A friend will always be there… even to the end,
     And when you are threatened, he’ll dare to defend;

Someone who helps you through a rough day,
And listens to the things that you have to say;

He’ll always make you glad whenever you are sad,
     A friend is like a family, just like your mom and dad;

Someone who is caring when your feeling blue,
Someone that you can tell anything to;

Someone with a sincere song to sweetly sing,
     Someone who will care for you as if you’re a king;

Someone that is willing to stand by your side,
And just saying their name fills you with pride;

A friend would never lend you luggage of loss and lies,
     He’ll be there for you when the cloud soils your skies;

They are always there when your down in a rut,
And the have your back no matter what;

As pleasant as a pillow, he’ll ever cocoon you in comfort,
     Someone safe and sound… he is your firm and fearless fort;

Someone that is open to all that you do,
Someone there watching over you;

A friend’s a lady like Tirzah Conway, yes you heard me right,
     She is a flawless flower… always lending me love and light;

A friend is like Adeleke Adeite, always there for you,
So full of honesty and friendship so true!

This is a joint effort between me and Tirzah Conway

What Is a Friend

What is a friend you may ask?
A friend is a person who cares about you
A friend is not one who will lie to and use you
A friend is there for the good times and for the rough times too
A friend doesn’t tell you lies and makes you believe them
A friend doesn’t lead you on just to get what they want
A friend listens to what you have to say and share
A friend is not one to manipulate to suit their own needs
A friend is one you can count on and who can count on you
So what is a friend, you may ask?
I really thought I knew and believe the above to be true
I believed all the lies and was manipulated
This person I thought to be my friend wasn’t really in the end
I shared my heart, feelings and thoughts with this person
This person told me they would never lie to me and yet that was a lie
I was used just to get what was wanted then thrown away like yesterday’s trash
A friendship was all I wanted and thought I had
A true friend is what I thought I had and that it would last
Boy was I ever wrong and such a fool
From the very start to the very end, we were really never friends
So what is a friend you may ask?
I am not the right person to be asking – I got it all wrong myself
Believed lies and was played for a fool
So if you ever find out what is a friend, and then please tell me
Tell me because I really want to know what a friend is
