Define a True Friend

What is a true friend in your mind? Is it someone that sticks with you to the end of time? Someone that’s honest and true to your face? Someone that is your saving grace? Or maybe the person that just lends a hand. During a time of need and helped you stand. How about the one that just lends an ear, And offers their shoulder for all your tears. The time you got in trouble with no way out. Who was there beside you, as if you had a doubt? A true friend can go beyond a person in your life. Like your pet dog Sam that you cry to at night. Or it could be a cat that’s been with you for years. There to keep you safe and warm through all your fears. They don’t understand. They don’t know what’s wrong. All they know is your needing them and that’s where they belong. True friends are needed everyday in life. To make it though life’s toils and strife. Without them we are nothing just creatures of the world. These relationships make us human so I’ve been told. This is my definition of a true friend. Someone that will stick by you from start to end.
