Always Yours

The handwriting became darker,
And I imagined your hands pressing upon the page,
Wavering whether to write your thoughts or not
Soon, sure, the wavering became conviction,
And in your mind you decided to write,
“Always yours”

Tears sprung from my eyes,
As convicted as your burdened letters

I condemned myself to love again,
How cruel the ink seeped into my marrow
To flitter and flutter upon mere words on a page
Words with promises, confessions, and affection
I could barely read through the gasps of my soul,
The screaming of my mind, and the bleeding of my heart
“Always yours” . . .

Do not inflict me like the plague, oh destroyer!
Do not soon crawl into these open arms
That would not dare push you away
I will love you till the days swallow me whole,
Till the light in you bellows cold with indifference!

We are words, my corresponding dear,
Deepening upon a page about to break
We are words, nothing more,
That are always,
Always Yours

Premium Member High At the Library

Whenever I walk inside I feel at home;
enraptured, from shelf to shelf I roam
till a book catches my eye
as I flitter by
smell sends me
high
rapidly
while senses comply
inner needs to satisfy,
like a bee that sips a honeycomb...
whenever I walk inside I feel at home.

Remind Me of You

Remind me of you

The rush of the wind as its tickling branches
A bluebird in song as the spring does arrive
Crickets abound with their vocal performance
It’s the music of nature that keeps us alive

Leaves on the path as they crackle and flitter
Soft falling snow as it forms on the ground
Squirrels that chatter from tree top to tree top
Surrounded we are with a wonderful sound

Long distant thunder that rumbles profoundly
As if to say hey there, look up at me
Rain on a tin roof that taps us in wonder
These are the tones we can listen for free

The buzz of a bee as it searches for nectar
Acorns that tumble a thud to the earth
The peep of a new baby sparrow that’s hungry
Harmonies whisper the glory of birth

Echoing geese as they soar through the heavens
Trumpeting swans now a’ float on the lake
Children at play as they learn new adventures
A rooster that crows for its time to awake

A fog horn now calling the lost on the ocean
The crash of a wave as it reaches the shore
Seagulls that scream us their maritime sonnets
Sandpipers squeal as they come back for more

Melodies heard filling each walk of nature
Symphonies built on what’s real and so true
Songs sung of life that inspire the feelings
Beautiful things that remind me of you

The Butterfly Cocooned

Noon
Beneath higher twig tips,
    my heart flutters
Near converging branches.

My cocoon
Rests
Mid-high the strength
    and distinctive character
Of a gnarly tree. Embracing me.
This, my home…Cocoon.

Night.
This essential place,
Protecting
Above the swirling world,
Puzzling with its mixing motions
Of lights, colors, temperatures,
Until I think I shall just stay
In this cocoon
For all the days
    of my brief forever.
I have grown able
To feel my heart flitter,
And my future hinting of more.

Secure herein my cocoon,
I debate with Life…
Staying here within,
Cocooned
Perhaps until I might learn
For its own brief time and purpose,
How each raindrop so proudly falls.

A Walk With the Birds

Slowly spring sun caresses the land
As kowhais will softly provoke
Flushes of yellow to gently expand
Their buds of the season uncloak
Helping bellbirds escape from winter’s last choke.

Methodical beats of wood pigeon wings
Whoosh thru the quiet spring air.
Melodious trills as tuis’s sweetly sing
Fantails flitter, with hardly a care
While bush robins cheekily dare.

Fragrance of earth sweetens the breeze
New lambs adventure and race
Dragonflies linger, then floating past trees
Whio dart up the river with grace
My core just idolizes this place.

I climb up the mountain out of the trees
A kea, the comedian of the highland flies past
Does a sharp turn, lands on a boulder to tease
It’s green, blue and red feathers contrast
Their intelligence and pranks unsurpassed.

Day turns to evening; a morepork issues its call
A mournful sound that echoes the night
I descend in the darkness at the pace of a crawl
Then the hoarse cry of a kiwi just out of my sight
I'm relaxed. One day with the birds and I’m no longer uptight.

Clouds embrace, a pendant against its timeless
Climax, on a warm humid summer evening.
Shadows in the ardent garden, twinkling lights
Through sinuous motion paths, a maze we know
And taken for granted without trees near.

Through we run; fireflies softly shimmer in flight.
Brother and I, and one jar among us.
We watch as they flitter, flutter, and flicker,
Turning, twisting to stop without knowing.

Ever so slowly and quietly, gently with cupped
Hands, catch the moving twinkling light.
Here, I open wide my hands, into the jar it flew.
Peering long we stood staring in silence
On unbroken, trapped living light flickering
Gleam in the dark; then stillness gave way
Not a minute wasted.

We were lost between the evergreen shrub
Puzzle walls. The lovely maze, dark and deep
Seems like miles. Suddenly there came a wall
At a distance the exit path out of the maze.

Premium Member Wisp of Love

How many times did I gaze on thy face
In mine daydreams? When spent sun was fiercer;
Before night lapse in dank vesture of lace.
Mine wane smile died with memories dear sir.

Whiff scent of nature's breath upon mine cheeks
Unfurl the substance in mine trouble soul.
Swell of explosive unsated love seeks
Warm wisp embrace, of thy intimate whole.

Brush flitter, around musical full score
Ivory fingers purposeless upon
My ebony frame, asking for much more,
Sweet release, mine demise, a distant yawn.

Eternal sunshine that was mine, a force
That's still mine total joy, but night's remorse.

Timeless lyrical,
compassionate dance,
a shifting effect
of light and color,
the glowing full moon
conducts in folk tune.
Indispensable
distant humble stars
spring a russet, sign.
White unfolded wings
flitter wayward round
a rhythmic beating
in shadow, chill, air.
The spike tuft ears owl
melodies hooting,
influence passion.
A lovers' heartbeat
keeping steady rhythm.
A starlight guides the
way by windswept night.

Delicacies

...to Juvie

With airy tread your footfall makes no sound,
as crackl’d leaves bestrew the frozen ground.
The lightness of your voice floats on the breeze,
its delicacies set my soul at ease.
A white-flecked silence hovers o’er the croft
and echoes perish, silence settles soft.
Weightless and peripheral you flitter
‘twixt snowflakes, and the robin’s cheerful twitter.
The beauties of the world are ours to hold,
to cherish and to share as they unfold.
You pass, as gentle as a soft spring rain,
as I behold your beauty once again!

Cool water washing over my feet
ocean glistening where sky does meet
soft sand sifting through my toes
fresh sea breeze scents up my nose
tiny little treasures hidden in the sand
warmth of the sun giving life to the land
swallows dancing with joy in the sky
enjoying the sun as they flitter and fly
butterflies emerging in the warmth of the day
new life begins as they fly on their way.

“When from nowhere gloomy clouds veer,
from nature’s scenery I get gems of cheer.”- By Poet

As the air ripples with the rhythmic joy of spring,
the melodic whisper of the southern wind
serenades with the tune of rhapsody.
The sinking sun sets ablaze
the sedate skyline on the cold fire of color,
as the hued flimsy fleet of clumps of cloud sail.

Pearls of opalescent dew bejewel the meadow,
the bent blades of green grass shimmer,
wearing the sparkling crown of splendor.
The mist drifts away from the spotless lucent sky,
turning into silken canvas of shining sapphire,
as in the barren boughs the satin leaves sprout.

The buds burst with colors from the winter freeze,
pristine petals unfurl on the fresco of flowers,
gleam of grandeur envelopes the mesmeric garden,
where the fluorescent butterflies flitter
in the scented aura through the sunshine shower.
My window frames the beautiful spring scenery.

I Love You Rain Come At Me, By Davieo, David Rothchild

I love you rain
Come at me
With your sparkling
Diamond splashing
Water baguettes
Diamondize me
Lick me with your
Splishering diamond joys

I love you rain
Come at me
With your portly portable pumping poetry
Flitter pitter patter buoying boosty banter
Pouring snoring, roaring soaring, jumping jets
Splitting swishing swashbuckling glitzy gorgeous glitterama
Blinging blanging clanging gluey golden glory
Air cleansing wooing wooshing wooting wind friend story

I love you rain
Come at me
With your dancing
Deftly dangling diamonds
Unfurl glowing skies
Flights of soothing cries
Your micro thunder
Kiss parade bluster
Skywide rosary seeds
Natures prayer leads
Meditation chi gong traffic
Micro hugs of time's fabric

I love you rain
Come at me
With your awe inspiring
Diamond light cracking crackling kisses
That sharpen, brighten, spin, shower, empower
The kaleidoscopic bright lips of faceted light!
Nurture us all, fill us all, with your connected inside out love!
Load us up with your resilient diamond fiber winks & glows
Quiet slinging sure serene silent super strength that guides the cosmos

I love you rain
Come at me
